You know, for a coin that seems to be not doing so well, it certainly seems to be gaining an interest somewhere - the difficulty has rocketed! Currently @ 449

I wish the value would rocket with it - 449 satoshis each would be quite nice right now Tongue

cpu-pool.net payout issue is now fixed. Thanks!

cpu-pool.net  not cash!!   Huh

Yeah, for some reason they sopped cashing out yesterday. I sent a tweet to them pointing it out, but it's still not fixed. I will try to e-mail them.

EDIT: Sent

SHA-3 is great imho - my cards run a t a lower temperature, and my rig uses about 20% less electricity mining MAX - but with the lowering of value, it's no longer profitable for me to mine, so I have switched back to Middlecoin, mining Scryptcoins.

I will hold my MAX though - no choice really, having spent 1.5BTC on a pile near the top - thinking it was moon-bound, and having mined another 2.4BTC worth (at that earlier top), it's not worth me cutting loose, I'd only get 0.5btc in total right now, so I guess I'll go long term.

A friend and I are working on a lottery website now though in our spare time (currently DOGE, but will be expanded to many coins - and the next will be MAX) - one that uses the blockchain properly for picking the winner - so hopefully in a couple of weeks when we have all the bugs ironed out, that will be something to look forward to!

You know, I'd wish that the one person who keeps putting sell orders at 1 satoshi at Cryptsy would just die of a brain hemorrhage. No other coin seems to suffer for it, and it regularly screws up the graphs.
I mean, is he retarded? Or just yet another troll in this game of trolls, liars and cheats called cryptocurrencies?

what is happening around Bitcoin businesses ? Butterfly Labs website also mysteriously went down and left so many customers who pre-ordered millions of dollars into their new generation hardware empty hands...

http://dorktech.com/where-did-butterflylabs-go/

Butterfly the 2nd version of MTgox, and empty website:

http://www.butterflylabs.com/

Quote
3/1/14 – Popular Bitcoin ASIC hardware/software company ButterflyLabs has mysteriously disappeared Friday evening. The company was just getting ready to roll-out their 600/GH and 300/GH cards that many individuals and companies have pre-ordered as early as 8 months ago. Their website currently just shows an empty blank white page at the moment. Although upon deeper digging, some of their directories still exist on the server. Also, the ButterflyLabs Twitter page is also not showing any new signs of activity. Does this mean that ButterflyLabs is also going to leave us as well?

This comes just a few days after MtGox, a highly used Bitcoin/USD trading platform, went down due to mistakes made in the security of the platform.

What is next for Bitcoin? All I can say is that we are in for a bumpy ride – so strap on your seat-belts and hold on.

(I will be updating this page if any new information comes in. Feel free to comment if you know what is going on. Our official Reddit comment thread is located here)

Maybe they had all their coins at empty gox?

ButterflyLabs has disappeared?
Did anyone notice the huge jump in network hashrate in the last day or two? I mean HUGE! (It spiked from 27,000Th/s to 35,000Th/s yesterday)
I wonder if they cut and ran with all the new kit, and are mining with everyones preorders?
Wouldn't surprise me one bit, after how they played the last generation.

I am sure Max wouldn't have tanked, had it been on any exchange other than MCXNow. Having a trollbox on the exchange is death for something like Maxcoin. When the haters outweigh those who like the coin, you have no chance - after all, as Metallica once said 'an empty can rattles the most'.

Oh, I pulled my 800 Max out of MCXNow about 4 days ago, back into my wallet - it's not going to go back to the price I am willing to sell for, for a while, so I may as well keep them safely offline.

Hey guys

I made a withdrawal from my wallet to an exchange, but lost internet connection on my laptop sometime during the process or shortly thereafter. I've noticed that I have 0 confirmations within the wallet, and it's been over a half hour now.

Any idea on what I can do? I've restarted the wallet multiple times. Is there some sort of command that can reset the transaction?

Thanks for the help....

I have had the same issue when I shut down my wallet just after sending a transaction - before it could be announced.

You can fix it by doing the following;

1: Make sure your Wallet is closed.
2: Open a folder, and type %appdata% into the address bar and hit enter.
3: go into the MaxCoin folder, then into the blocks folder
4: delete all the .dat files in there
5: Restart the wallet app
6: It will state that the database is corrupt, and ask if you want to fix it - say yes.
7: It will then re-synch your wallet from the beginning, and the transaction will occur
8: send the fixer a tip - address below Wink  <--- this is the most important part of the process XD

DOGE vanished from Cryptsy! Temporary glitch? Blockchain issues again?
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MAX] MaxCoin - Alive and Kickin' on: February 22, 2014, 12:16:20 PM
I guess the hashrate is dropping on Max - as I am now getting around 25% more coins per day than earlier this week.

Up from 14 per day to 19 Cheesy

It'll be great when (if) the price goes up again XD
11  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 21, 2014, 01:30:42 AM

Well the good news is Gox can only go down about $93.

I hope it does - if it goes all the way, I'll have 165btc* for less than £0.01 Tongue

*that I would never see, or be able to withdraw, obviously XD
12  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 20, 2014, 11:53:38 AM
Can it crash a bit more? I have a buy order for 160btc at Mt.Gox for $0.0001 each - so that'd be nice XD
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MAX] MaxCoin - Alive and Kickin' on: February 15, 2014, 03:14:17 AM
Is that so? Personally I have made around .6btc in a few days. Maxcoin is very good value imho

System: 1 x 7970, 1 x watercooled 7990, 1 x 7850

I have noticed that mining Max, my GPUs don't get any where near as hot as when mining Scrypt - so I tried putting the Scrypt GPU Defaults for my 7970 and 7990 into the batch files for my Max mining, and set CGMiner off (I was previously using a basic batch file, with no presets at all), but while the mining speed was reporting back as about 15-20% higher, there wasn't anywhere near as many accepted shares happening - if any.

Does anyone know of any good presets to put into my batch file to help me wring the most out of my cards?

I am not sure we were being scammed intentionally - I just think that the pool was not set up right - causing alot of our hashing rate to be wasted.

Still - having a decent payout finally makes me positive about Animecoin again, and I will continue to mine for the foreseeable future.

I am into the Japanese culture myself (though it's Idol culture for me) and I have a lot of friends who are also into Anime and similar, some of them are fan artists - and I may start tipping them in Animecoin for their art they do, as a way of spreading the love (and expanding the idea)
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] AnimeCoin [アニメコイン] ANI on: February 12, 2014, 04:16:13 PM

yep been down for a while.. Whats wrong with it.. ?

If it's not up shortly it will be dead cause we will all move somewhere else..

Thanks you ani.minepool.cc but I've now moved to http://cpu-pool.net/  lets hope thats just as good.. Wink

Damn this pool rocks, should have switched sooner.. hopefully they payout... lol

I joined http://cpu-pool.net/  myself at 11.30am UK time today, and in the 4 hours 40 minutes I have been with them, I have made 2723 coins.
I'm running 2 rigs (one AMD Athlon 64 X4 3200, on Intel I7 @3000Mh/z), both with 3 threads (keeping one free for GPU mining software and day to day use on the I7).

When I was on ani.minepool.cc - I was getting around 1000 coins per DAY.

I have a feeling their pool wasn't very well managed - it frequently reported me as running at about 70Kh/s per processor, yet cpu-pool.net is showing me at a much better rate.

If this stays the same, I will get as much in the next two days as it took me two WEEKS to get on ani.minepool.cc

I am happy it went offline, or I'd still be being ripped off several thousand coins per day!

A couple of questions;

Firstly, I loaded up my wallet to get my latest transactions from 1Gh, and noticed it wasn't syncing, and is showing;

"Warning: Displayed transactions may not be correct! You may need to upgrade, or other nodes may need to upgrade."

There is no upgrade to the wallet though.
Is this because I closed it down mid-sync before? If so, do I fix it by deleting all the .dat files (except for wallet.dat obv)?

Secondly, I updated my cgminer to the latest one, and along with the old "Stratum from pool 0 detected new block", I have started getting "New block detected on network before longpoll".

A little education please - what does that mean?
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MAX] MaxCoin - Alive and Kickin' on: February 09, 2014, 01:50:50 AM
yeah thats normal, 400 MH/s here on single 6990

Is that per core or in total? My 7990 is getting 312MH/s per core - if I put the intensity up above 6, I start getting a lot of rejected shares.

ypool threw all?
how to get coins?

If you had at least 1 coin at ypool, just go on to the site, and set auto payout threshold at 1.

there is no logo maxcoin!
I have the 2.85 maxcoin!

probably the maxcoin pool is down for maintenance. ypool is well established, they won't steal your 2.85 maxcoins ;-)

Just go to http://ypool.net/max/stats_personal - the external links have been removed, but the pages are still there Smiley
