A big runup of 33%+ but I'm not clear as to why. There was a story about an EOS derived blockchain XenonNetwork launching but I'm not convinced it's necessarily related...
Any info very appreciated!

Hi guys,
I haven't been around much as my wife is still angry for putting so much fiat into crypto that we cannot even drink. She would have been happier with Winecoin if there were such a thing.
Anyway, I am running the Mac wallet vresion 0.8.99.7. I haven't fired it up in ages and it's not updating. I see talk of active nodes. Are these live?
Can you please tell me how to add them?
I own quite a few coins and would love to discuss what we could do with them that would be cool.
Thanks in advance for your help.

It will say out of sync because it thinks it is (cause the last block is from 3 days ago). when the current block is solved your wallet will say synced again even tho it currently is.
OK, got it. Thank you.

Stuck at block 29126. Using Qt v0.9.1.1-PID-beta
Is this the right version? Any ideas?
Thanks
That is the correct version, and that is the current block, been stuck on it for the past 3 days. But in that case shouldn't my wallet be up to date? It says 'out of sync'. Thanks-

Mr. Brew,
I'm happy to hear you think it's a good idea.
I think we should try to generate some other good ideas about how we structure the pack. Perhaps others in the community have some thoughts as well?
A couple thoughts I've had since my last post:
1) What if in the pack we suggested that the shops value Teacoin at USD 0.10 (10 cents)? There is obviously a big price difference between that and the presently traded price but it would encourage shop owners to buy it very cheaply on the open market (more demand) and also that others would be it more cheaply on the market (more demand) so they could use it at tea and coffee houses and get their tea/coffee more cheaply. If we could get enough shops signed up quickly, we might see the price actually move rapidly towards that level. On the other hand, if only a small number of shops sign up then the risk is that some of their customers flood them with Teacoin that they can't sell near the value they're accepting it and they stop using it. Perhaps some kind of advertising campaign, say for example in that tea shop industry site with the Teacoin article could get a large number of shops online quickly.
2) How do we make Teacoin viral? Beyond the placard on the shop counter, how do we get customers excited about using Teacoin? Maybe the shop gives them a 20% discount to the fiat price if they use Teacoin (valuing Teacoin at USD 0.10). The shop owner is making a profit on the coins he bought cheaply and sold at USD 0.10 so he doesn't care about the 20% discount.
Points 1 and 2 work well together provided the existing holders of Teacoin don't rush out to any shop that starts accepting Teacoin and flood the shops. As long as the shops can buy coin cheaply, sell to their customers at a profit, then give the customers a discount on their products, everyone is happy. We, the holders of Teacoin, just need to sit tight and not dump into the market as the price starts to rise. If you had 1000 shops with teacoin and each shop with 20 customers that bought 20$ of Teacoin that would be a nice little economy and probably a substantial market cap.

Mr. Brew,
I bought a lot of Teacoin a while back because you had a single tea shop using Teacoin and there is such an obvious play in getting other independent tea and coffee houses on board. I thought you were working to get more online which felt to me like a great way to grow the demand of the coin. It seems to me that you are spending a lot of time trying to get Teacoin onto multiple exchanges. I gather that your opinion is that there will be a greater volume of Teacoin traded if more people have access to it.
My opinion is that it doesn't matter how many exchanges you get on because the volume will center itself in 1 or maybe a couple of exchanges. Teacoin traded almost all of it's volume on Cryptorush which was totally random- the market just converged there because that's where people found/decided would be the most liquid place.
If you want to have the coin's market cap grow in value, and I really hope you do, I believe you should focus on getting the independent tea and coffee houses involved. I wrote a post a while back suggesting that you create a 'starter pack' for a tea/coffee house that consists of a wallet, a downloadable placard that they can print and put on the counter, a section on the website, and some Teacoins that they can give or sell to their customers. I'm sure we could come up with some other great ideas for the starter pack if we thought about it. You replied at the time you were waiting for a mobile wallet. While that would be great, I think you can get the ball rolling without it. There are plenty of people with laptops that can use a wallet and pay in the shop.
If you were to get only 100 shops on board you'd see some upwards movement in the price, which would be good for everyone and probably further incent the shops to hop on the bandwagon.
That's my rough idea. I hope as the lead on this coin you will consider it seriously and help get it going. I would be willing to put a sizeable Teacoin bounty for someone that will put some thought into this and get a pack ready for production. Perhaps you can help organize the bounty. I will give you 100,000 Teacoin to hold for the person that creates a compelling starter pack.
I'm happy to discuss further and look forward to hearing your thoughts.
Regards,
kong

Slimepuppy,
So for mac users we just wait for the new release for now?
Thanks-

we need a package for tea and coffee shop owners. easy wallet setup, starter amount of coins, promotional placard (printable digital file) to be placed in the shop, discount structure for users, etc...
even before there is a mobile wallet we can start this off. lot's of people can sit down in the shop and use their laptop to send coins. we don't have to have a system in place that works for everyone and covers all the angles. we need to get it started then get some press.
my two cents...

Had a brain fart the actual total number of coins before inflation is 40.3 M TEA. We are about 300k TEA away from yearly inflation.
Has that changed somehow? I thought it was always 40mm.

Under 70k Teacoin left untill yearly inflation
Exciting stuff! Now we need the price at about 1$ a Teacoin to make the math easy for shop owners... Have you thought about using Teacoin as a way for small tea and coffee shops to compete with the big chains? For example, a program for shop owners and customers where they offer a 20% discount to anyone paying in Teacoin. Customers commit to small, independent shops by using the coin thereby bringing them more business. As the program gains traction the value of the coin increases and everyone wins. It's a way for everyone to take a stand against corporate chains, identify themselves as doing such, and have a little fun while also perhaps making a little money... What is the plan for marketing? I'd love to hear. Sorry for asking if I have missed this in previous comments... By the way, thanks for your hard work on the coin- I think it's great.

Hi,
A fairly basic question here but I just want to be sure. I have wallet 8.9 and it's showing up to date with all coins intact. There's no chance I have coins from a wrong fork in this wallet, correct? As I understand it, that wouldn't be possible, but I just want to check. I can proceed to upgrade to 8.9.10 without any concerns?
Thank you in advance for your help-

Catcoin team,
I may have a possible lost coin issue as well. But I can't know for sure until I download the new wallet, which doesn't seem to be available on the front page of this thread. Will you have the wallets up and available soon?
Thanks for your hard work on the coin-
Update:
It appears I do have the correct wallet, I just wasn't able to sync past block 21346 and my lost coins have shown up.
However, I appear to be stuck at block 23319 for some reason. Any idea why that might be?
my wallet version: v0.8.9.0-unk-beta

Burnin,
Over a week ago I sent a PM to you asking for a refund for my order. After receiving no reply I sent a message through your website again asking for confirmation of the refund and amounts.
I haven't received a reply to that email either. Can you please confirm my refund is being processed or reply to 1 of my messages?

Have you been reading this thread completely? You can request a refund on cryptx's new website. I thought CryptX is only handling bitfury related orders. Is he handling bitburner XX refunds as well? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks. kong2029 You should be able to login at asic-hardware.com with the same credentials as on burninmining. Your orders will be listed and there's the options buttons on the right. That's how it worked for me anyway. Newar, thanks that worked perfectly. Only problem is that it says refunds processed in mid-October. Was that the same for you?
