PoS is so much better on energy consumption it really seems like a no brainier. Masternodes are the way to go!

I honestly think the reason it had such ab ig run was the ability to transfer faster. During the great catting, or catasrophye. Any way the days the crypto kitties started jacking things up is when it happened. And lets face it BTC isn't exactly a rocket as of late.

I want the knowledge of the forum to really get in on this one. I really think POS is going to be the future of mining. The cost for running BTC is getting out of hand and it will eventually get to a breaking point. But my question today is what do you think will be the coin to mine or stake in 2018? There are a ton of coins out there with huge masternodes dishing out some serious cash a day. And I believe if I can get on few of them I will have a nice form of passive income. But some say POW is still the way to go, and if you think so, why?

NEO feels like it is one of the ones that have not had a serious pump yet. As soon as BTC stabilizes again I think it will see a little action for sure. NXT will get a pump too with the upcoming airdrop so there will be a flood until then. Of course as soon as that snapshot is over I would bail out. But that's just my 2 cents.

If Wager keeps getting traction it will be a big percentage increase. There are multiple people saying that in my circle.

There are all kinds of staking coins I have seen in crypto land. Some are kinda tedious and have a really complicated system. Some make you stake permanently and your coins are lost. And then others can be very simple but have a poor return or their coin is rubbish. Looking at you Burstcoin. I have been mining a new coin lately and I get at least 4 to 8 a day. And with only a total of 7 million coins I think that is pretty slick.

But I wanted to see what the pros think, I have no doubt there are great opportunities out there.

So why don't people here just mine the old fashioned way? I don't get it.
