61  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is this a good advice? on: November 27, 2023, 08:29:06 PM
I keep seeing gamblers advising themselves that you are one step closer to winning the jackpot when you quit too early,  it's sad that they strongly believe this.

Is this true?

This advice is actually making gamblers believe that they can win when they spend a lot of more time in the casino, they strongly believe that not stopping or taking break will bring them closer to their jackpot.

One of em told me that this is why I don't win, that I only gamble when I feel like, he said constantly gambling is a must if you want to win, but I disagree, because I have seen too many people not knowing when to quit until it was too late.

To me, gambling is a theater, a form of entertainment that I pay for, not a way to get rich quick, for them it's a must to win by force, one question seem to change his mood though.

I asked him why he isn't rich yet if he is actively gambling everytime since all this while, this changed his mood and I took a turn.

Well, technically.... If they keep going, they do increase their chances of winning the jackpot. But that is from a mathematical perspective.

But one has to ask themselves; is it worth increasing your chances with such a manual attempt? And if you know the odds of winning the jackpot, you will understand why it does not make a noticeable difference. The odds of winning are too low, so even if you keep adding on, all you do is improve your miniscule odds by a miniscule amount.

Its like buying more tickets for a lottery. Buying more tickets has never proven to be a way to win the jackpot either. The winnings odds are too small for more tickets to make a difference.
In the past few gamblers have learnt the scripts and won jackpots. Those are difficult to achieve, and that way few have beaten the casino. Nowadays things were quite complex and it isn't easy to beat the casino. Luck is the only thing that could win a jackpot. As said continued gambling increase the winning probability, but the same doesn't assure a big win.

As said more tickets at times help with the winning. I've seen this happening in the weekly raffle on different gambling platforms. Users with few tickets can be seen on the list, whereas majority used to be the one with more number of tickets.
62  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hodling vs trading on: November 26, 2023, 11:59:07 PM
Even though they are similar but they are not one and if it is to choose one, many of us will choose hodling and as you said, hodling is stress free while trading is stressful because you will be on the device to check the movement of the trade. investing in bitcoin also have a limit of deposit and withdrawal. There are some wallet that you hodle your bitcoins, you can not deposit or withdraw below $2 as bitcoin. So both has disadvantage and advantages.
Holding is just keeping our assets in a secure manner and making use of it after specific time period or waiting for particular price to be reached. With trading there is a need of regular market watching and we need to make better prediction so to increase the chance of making profit. With holding we won't learn anything about the market, whereas the money into trading will give us learning about the market. We know much about the price movement and based on the same we can extend the holding time period. So, atleast small amount need to be involved into trading in my view.
63  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is gambling all about luck? on: November 26, 2023, 11:15:49 PM
In my opinion making cash from gambling is not a good option and the statistical probability that you will win every game at every casino is very low. I think winning or losing every game is completely in your head, so your individual tricks are not there. However, we all have some kind of luck so we should strive for what is possible for us.

Yes, it is all about luck. So if you are thinking of making money from gambling, don't. You will only lose money and fall into debt, your property will be depleted. In short, you will ruin your life if this is how you think about gambling. But if you are naughty and really want to make money with gambling, buy a casino or build one.
Agreed, it is all about luck. In some way luck 90% and the learning about gambling is also must. There are people who are lucky to win big. Even after that they don't get fulfilled. This had ended in losing the big jackpots. So, gambling is all about luck, but we should have the learning and the money management to stop at the right time. If not the same could go against us in no time.
64  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can old generation cause the habit of gambling in young generation ? on: November 26, 2023, 11:13:08 PM
Old generation people spending time on gambling could have impact on the young generation. In my country old generation people can be seen playing cards around the beach region after their work. This is kind of leisure for them. Nowadays it is possible to see old generation playing in one part of the beach and the young generations on the next end of the beach. Young generation follow old genaration and as these are simple games it easily gets attracted.
65  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Beginner needs your advices in gambling. on: November 26, 2023, 05:39:43 PM
Everything have got some reason, and OP have got some reason to gamble. First of all he needs to be very clear about the reason and then he needs to know what all the possible chances to fulfill his plans through gambling. If he find everything to be satisfied, then it is upto him to go further and enjoy gambling. Every games were simple and easy to play, just on that one should not get into gambling without understanding well about the worst and best part of gambling.

Start with small amount and if you feel yourself confident and have control over your activities, then go for big money. As money is involved it'll create financial issues, and health difficulties when our expectations fail. Our minds should be prepared to enjoy and accept the outcome unlike win/loss of the bet.
66  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: November 26, 2023, 05:24:10 PM
India vs Australia

India vs Australia 2nd T20 match will be played today. Although both teams performed well in the first match, the Australian team was defeated due to uncontrolled bowling. Travis Head, Maxwell and Adam Zampa were rested in Australia's squad for the previous match. However, Australia needs these three players in the squad if they want to win the series against India.
If we have a look at previous match discussion them most of us criticise indian young top order for bad performance but today they really improved thier self and give a good Start to which team which was really significant for set rythm for big target. Kishan, Gaikward, Jasiwal show thier impact and scored a decent defendable target with impressive strike rate. No doubt it's batting pitches so now it's all up to indian bowler hand to took dominance over thier opponent or just lose momentum against them but I hope indian will be more confident because they have edge of thier previous win, so if Australia won then it will be huge India bowling failure or it will be a nail bitting win for the India

According to the performances of Australia in today's match, I can't believe that this team is the winner of the ODI World Cup 2023, but the Australian team is trying to come back and I think they can do it.

I think if the Australian team loses this match so the biggest blame goes to Wade because he is the captain of the team and he didn't select Travis Head for this match. Just another wicket fall and the Australian team isn't able to play Indian bowlers. I think this match winner is India because now Australia's batters have lost their wickets so bowlers are coming to play and bowlers aren't able to do 84 runs in 26 balls.
Target of 200+ runs itself big, and 235 runs is a big score. Missing every ball could increase the pressure on the batsmen and fall of wickets will keep the batsmen focus on scoring as well as stand wickets. Many things need to be handled perfectly, only then these matches can be won. India have won the match by 42 runs. Wade did the best scoring 42* runs in 23 balls. The opening order collapsed, if not this could've been even closer. The middle order had contributed good as Stoinis scored 45 from 25 balls, Tim scored 37 from 22 balls. The third match is going to be tough and I believe Australia will win the match.
67  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A gambler's family action. on: November 25, 2023, 11:53:54 PM
When we don't have any other choice surely we'll go to any extent to stop him gambling. Myself will do the same, and it is really painful when someone see him with care, not just because of his good character, but of his situation. What the parents and family did is really good and he should be made to realise what is wrong with gambling. Maybe if he starts to earn and spend he'll understand better. Now what he does is spend his father's money and when he doesn't have money he had begun to sell his belongings.
68  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: November 25, 2023, 11:23:24 PM
I feel it's going to be Italy in the final. Đoković is a favorite against Sinner but Musetti should be beating Kecmanović.
Doubles are where I think it will be settled, and although Đoković is playing I do feel the advantage is with Bolelli/Sonego.

Whoever wins here should be a favorite against the Australians.
Sinner have won the match in style. In less than a week after the loss to Djokovic in the Nitto ATP finals Sinner have won the match 6-2 2-6 7-5. In the other match Kecmanovic have beaten Musetti 6-7(7) 6-2 6-1. Sinner teaming with Sonego and defeated Djokovic and Kecmanovic pair in the doubles in the direct set 6-3 6-4. A big win and Italy into its first Davis Cup final since 1998, which is 25 years gap.
69  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Has anyone been able to make steady income with gambling ? on: November 25, 2023, 10:47:16 PM
Making consistent profits from gambling all depends on the kind of bets we are playing and the level of skills we have to make such a bet a profitable one. There are even people that do not have a strong or reliable strategies and they are still making profits from betting. It all depends on what we can do and concentrating on the aspect we are very good at. If we are good at casino games, then we have to keep betting on it so that we can get aquatinted to it and become a better trader. Gambling can be very tasking and stressed if we don't usually make profits as gamblers.
I don't think skill really plays a role as much as strategy does, with a good strategy you can actually make money with some level of consistency, because I believe there's no 1000% consistency that will guarantee steady or consistent win but then by ratio you could win often.

When you get a very good strategy that will include both your money management and risk management put together so you be able to stay consistent with your logic decisions but then it's not a guarantee it plays out everytime, there are times it will fail but staying consistent to it gets you to win some day and turn out profitable much more than you would have done with just skill.
As said good money management and strategies could bring consistency in win and steady income. All that required is the patience and the right exit strategy. Most of the time gamblers have a mindset to win what they've planned for the day. At times we can feel that the luck isn't in our favour, even in such situation we should not urge. This means if someone have a plan to earn $10 and out of luck they were able to win $8. For the $2 one should not have the urge, we should leave it for the day. This kind of gambling could bring better earning.
70  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best Country To Live In For Crypto Casinos?# on: November 25, 2023, 10:43:15 PM
If you're a gambler with big money or you being a high roller you can think of relocating into a new country for the purpose of gambling. Not every gambling platform request you to fulfill KYC completely. There are different levels and those are completely based on the withdrawal limit you need. If you want big volume of withdrawal then you need to pass KYC completely. Restrictions can be seen on different platforms and we have got lot many gambling platforms to choose. This means we need to keep trying to find the best based on your location and the local laws.
71  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you guys believe in other people luck and try to copy them? on: November 25, 2023, 10:14:22 PM
I am not talking about copying normal bets as you guys both that have replied so far here are pointing to copying normal multi/parlay tickets. This is not the point of this thread, the point of this is if you are like me who don't believe in your own luck to compile a multi ticket with 24 games and over 8000 odds for example yet you think since most other people try maybe one of them will be lucky and as such I copy a lot of such bets with huge odds while having 0.01-0.02 dollars as my base bet which is 200 IDR right now, thinking I am not playing sport betting but having a go to hit a "jackpot".
When you are copying someone else's bet, you are gambling on them. not the actual game. You are trying your luck on one of those people and thinking that he may win. Or copying many and thinking that one of them should be lucky enough to win you a jackpot. You are putting your bet's on people and not on the game. So I guess luck does matter here. Destiny? No, it's not your destiny because you are depending one someone else.

I think it is good as long as you can make some wins. If not, enjoy the process. Then again, if you want to enjoy and feel great about your winnings, doing it on your own should be the best option in my opinion.
What you say is true, and most of the bets need to be placed on the underdog. However this gives an enjoyment and myself had tried of this by my own. Copying bets were also good, because it is possible to see gamblers spending big money on certain underdogs. This means they could've got specific reason to choose it. On that basis, those bets can be picked. As said it used to be good enjoying the process. Recently I made a multibet in which I took 16 matches and out of that 2 matches got lost. Those were really enjoyable, and it was like the 6th and 11th match got lost. By the 6th match itself the bet had lost, but the eagerness continues till the final match.
72  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dangerous chasing losses on: November 24, 2023, 11:54:01 PM
Even if its mere $1 we should never think of recovering it back instantly. We should take a break, because myself lost around $300 just on recovering $2 lost in a roll. Thats really painful, because that was the last dollars left in the wallet to wager and I thought of keeping it for long wager with small amounts. What happened, just lost $2 in a wager and got triggered to recover it. Started to increase the bet value as the bets kept losing. Finally got emptied, so it is good to stay on the safer side knowing our limits as well as avoiding the mentality to chase the losses.
73  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why the rich win gambling more than the poor. on: November 24, 2023, 11:50:13 PM
Rich people never think of the winning, they just have fun and if it is a win they enjoy or else just leave it. With a poor gambler or with a person with limited fund he gambles for money and when it is lost he can't accept it. His mind always thinks of the loss and he will be much into recovering what had been lost. For this he sometimes get loans and keeps trying where he losses more and becomes more poor. The reason for rich people to win big, they don't have the winning pressure they just play and win, but the poor plays with fear.
74  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you ever been a gambling addict? on: November 24, 2023, 11:46:51 PM
I considered myself a gambling addict way back then, in 2020-2021 back in the height of crypto and the gambling industry, my friends invited me over for a gambling session, probably because all of us are bored as balls inside the comfort of our houses cause this was way back when the pandemic is at its peak and no one's allowed to go outside except for some important stuff. Now, the thing is that we got a little overboard when we started setting up betting competitions on who's gonna win, who's gonna give out the most bet, and whatever, and eventually I found myself itching to gamble and win back my losses. Gladly a family relative snapped me back to reality and from there, I was able to get all the help I need to get right back on feet and actually discipline myself.
During those days I was an addict. Even now I wasn't completely out of it. I wager with what is available now, back then I used to borrow to gamble. This means my addiction have decreased. Another thing, I was into commited life which is also a reason why I wasn't able to think beyond limits. If I were the same as the year 2020-21, even now I might be in the same situation. Somehow things were going on the right track without disturbing my financial life. I've planned to quit when it steps into my financial life as a problem.
75  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Argentina Be The Next El Salvador To Accept Bitcoin As Legal Tender? on: November 23, 2023, 11:55:50 PM
Acceptance is different from adoption. Argentina will accept Bitcoin and regulate the usage, but adoption as legal tender similar to El Salvador is not possible thing in Argentina. Maybe in the long term they can realise the better part and consider it. For now people will be free to use cryptocurrency within the country unlike many other countries where it is banned. In some countries even people were arrested for holding cryptocurrency.
76  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Why haven't the earliest participants sold their Bitcoin, and some haven't even on: November 22, 2023, 11:51:21 PM
Many had lost their keys and another reason is they invested long back without knowing what it is, and now they don't remember what they had invested. This seems to be the prime reason according to me. The person who had bought bitcoin knowing its ability have been holding it for the right price to be reached, so that they can use it and make themselves one among the richest with bitcoin.
77  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: They accumulate bitcoin but how about you? on: November 22, 2023, 11:47:50 PM
All that mentioned in the list weren't common people. They're already established business owners and for them it is not a big deal to accumulate as many bitcoin. It is not perfect to make a comparison with a common man with the person like Satoshi or with Microstrategy. Dollar cost average helps in accumulation and own bitcoin at the best price. Here we'll be able to make based on our capital ability and so to reach those numbers isn't an easy thing.
78  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you in profit? on: November 18, 2023, 11:31:21 PM
It looked like I was in profit, but all of the sudden the losing streak began and I used to lose control. I don't know why this is happening, finally used to end with massive loss. Yesterday one of the worst day, was in profit of $500 and lost the amount. To recover what I've lost, deposited another $200 which is the final amount. I wasn't able to achieve what I target. Later ended with empty wallet, so we need to know when to stop and that'll make us stay on profit.
NO
79  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin vs Altcoins on: November 18, 2023, 11:27:15 PM
Bitcoin is for everyone whereas altcoins is for people who have got good knowledge about the market. Only then it is possible to buy/sell at the right moment and enjoy the benefits. Most of the time altcoins need to be considered for short term profiting as we can't be sure of the price progress same as bitcoin. Bitcoin being the king, it is followed by the rest. This means in the upcoming halving the price movement of altcoins will take place based on the movement of bitcoin.
80  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is not a get rich quick scheme. on: November 18, 2023, 11:22:48 PM
Yes. Bitcoin is not a get rich quick as there's no such investments that would offer quick profits, unless if you are dealing with a scam one. However, with the bitcoin hype that most of the crypto influencers are doing
The growth of Bitcoin gives a view of being rich in a short. The reality is different and some people had turned rich through bitcoin. This had happened out of luck. We need to learn more about the factors connected with bitcoin, that push the price up and causes drop in value. It is really tough to make the predictions based on it. As said there will be more scams and different approaches of making you rich through bitcoin. It is our responsibility to find the right one and invest than getting caught into the traps.
