Hello, Plan to move to Thai for 6 month, I will receive salary as bitcoin, do you guys know will I be able to withdraw money from local Thai exchanges?
Sure! Check out Bx.in.th, you can send bitcoin to your bitcoin address in this platform and wire money back to your bank account. This works for me! Can I register there if I am not citizen of Thai? Do not register at bx.in.th. If you have any significant funds at all they will freeze your account. They will spend weeks going back and forth with you trying to get you to prove the source of your funds, no matter what proof you give they will constantly say "need more proof" while they keep your money. Not had any trouble with BX, but they are under the watchful eye of the Americans so don't do your money laundering there.

Could add API, then integration with Zapier? Webhooks? Confirmations could then mean tweets sent, google sheets updated, lights turned on, emails sent, slack messages, receipts sent, commits pushed, forms submitted....

Core BeliefsTravelWeft is a journey, not a destination. Conceived in reaction to growing disillusionment with the current state and trajectory of the travel industry, it is an attempt to develop and reinvent a better way for all participants in travel to interact. On such a journey there are countless decisions to be made in relation to overall structure, governance, timing and implementation details. As we forge this new path, we hold the following beliefs as our core, guiding principles when such decisions are to be made. Participant owned, foundation steeredThe value of an industry, or network, derives from the active participation of its members. The best way to motivate healthy participation is through ownership. Previously, cooperative-style joint ownership of an organisation has been logistically difficult and prohibitively expensive. Current technology removes those barriers. Execution, software planning and development do not take place in a vacuum. There is an ongoing need to plan, design and implement the software which is the executable expression of the rules of the TravelWeft network. We believe this is best handled by a foundation rather than a for-profit corporate entity. In the absence of share-holder pressure, a well-funded foundation is able to take a longer-term view of network development and health than alternative structures. The foundations role is to seed the project, and subsequently action the will of the owner-participants as exposed by the governance model of the network. Decentalized infrastructure, open softwareAnybody should be able to run the TravelWeft software and participate in the network, and the network should be no more dependent on any node more than any other for its health and continuity. In this way, the network embodies the participant ownership described above and is resilient to domination or subversion by individual entities. An open source development model is essential to establishing a trusted platform. It is also important in enabling participation and encouraging the growth of an ecosystem which strengthens the TravelWeft network. Fair to providers and travellersThe greatest benefits can be seen when both sides of the travel market are treated fairly. While the participation of travel service providers is the source of value in the travel industry, that value is only realized when travellers participate too - by booking and buying. A vibrant and well-balanced travel ecosystem should therefore consider and balance the needs of both both providers and travellers at all times. --- We're currently two people - a developer + team with 10+ years on travel platforms and a IT expert in Bitcoin since 2010, based in the #1 tourist destination in SE Asia. Do you share our vision? Have something to bring to the table? We're looking to bring together resources needed to bring this project to life! Isn't this what Civic is doing? They have raised millions and have partnerships with many big players Plus the CEO is a well-known tech developer.
What makes your project better or different? Please elaborate.
Glad you asked. Civic is a great project of course. SelfKey is similar in that we both will have an Identity Wallet and reusable KYC sign up process for 3rd parties to use. Check out the Airswap.io ICO to see the SelfKey sign up in action. Two more ICOs to follow shortly are using the platform. The key difference is SelfKey is quite a bit further along in building a marketplace, i.e. real world use case. Flagtheory.com has built relationships with offshore vendors of KYC intensive services and that will show up in the marketplace. For example you'll be able to get Vanuatu Citizenship with SelfKey platform: https://imidaily.com/asia-pacific/vanuatu-citizenship-program-accept-bitcoin-payments-pilot-block-chain-based-due-diligence/

Hi Guys, Just an introduction for those interested in the SSID space, Identity Wallets and KYC processing. SelfKey is a new project in the space, and we would like to introduce ourselves. The SelfKey Identity Wallet will allow users to access securely to their identity attributes and documents, such as passports, stored and encrypted on their personal device and not in a centralized database or in the blockchain. Through the Identity Wallet, users may request to certifiers, such as a notary, to certificate their identity attributes and documents. Then users can securely share these identity attributes or documents with relying parties such as banks, in order to access to their products and services. Allowing for a quicker KYC onboarding process and saving time to complete applications that are currently tedious. Here is what we are working on: MarketPlaceProvide services requiring KYC Use SelfKey wallet in the market place Working with 3rd party providers of: - PASSPORTS - RESIDENCY - WALLETS - BANK ACCOUNTS - COIN EXCHANGES - INCORPORATIONS - TRUSTS - WEALTH MANAGEMENT - PAYMENT PROCESSORS - MONEY TRANSFER & REMITTANCES - COMMERCIAL LOANS - PERSONAL BANK LOANS - INTERNATIONAL HEALTH INSURANCE For a peek at the alpha: https://alpha.selfkey.org/marketplace/KYC Registation- KYC Registration for crowd sales - Single sign on - In use with the Airswap sale If you're a service provider, or interested in using the service, get in touch. https://selfkey.org Telegram: https://t.me/joinchat/ALBChAsAG_uiTaaTwKfCPg

"Attestation Provider" - I have to admit this was a rather new concept for me, but after learning more I've understood what this means like this:
In order to replace an organisation like Equifax, what if we could individually provide credit information to a bank, employer or hospital ourselves? In this credit reporting scenario, imagine a system where your credit history is securely transferred to your own secure software and the veracity of that data can not be tampered with or questioned.
Such a system for immutable transfer of value exists, is in widespread use and its called Bitcoin. A Bitcoin transaction is indisputable using consensus among multiple distributed nodes, all agree on the source, the payload and the destination and irrevocably write that data to a public ledger.
This same method of value transfer can be employed to transmit attestations from the Attestation Provider (in this example a credit card issuer), replacing the need for Equifax.
At Selfkey Foundation, we're working on this in conjunction with a market place, meaning you can see how this works full circle. SelfKey market place will provide services like getting a second passport or offshore company registration, thru the SSID.

Great read - I guess we'll see more from from the media on the other founder of Ethereum, and how his vision compares.

I like to look at KIK like this: Just like OMG has the benefit of Omise, KIN is starting out like any other ICO with a crypto vision - with the benefit of KIK. You can argue how useful it its, but both founders have demonstrated experience in building and leading teams - a lot more than we can say for many other ICOs out there. Additionally I love the focus on incentivizing developers KIN has.
Tezos, Kyber, 0x, Augur, Status all have raised money to build something of value, but are completely starting from scratch when in comes to building an organization.

Learning more about a coin is always a good idea before buying it!

For those who don't know, ADA represents the vision of Charles Hoskinson and IOHK, major supporters of Ethereum Classic. Cardano is new blockchain (not a fork) which represents what the founders found lacking in Ethereum, namely security and reliability issues.
This is a major effort from core members of the crypto community and should easily find a home in the top 20 coins. If you're a protocol level investor, this one is for you.

Think of yourself as an Angel investor, with a set amount of money. There is no shortage of blockchain startups, trick is picking the right ones.
Pick projects that have the ability to move the needle, have product market fit and have a strong founding team.

I sold mine, there will be plenty of time before they deliver something meaningful. Doubt it will go any different that 0x.

KIN - cause no point selling it now! I hold UNO, ARK, NEM.

This is a much bigger problem in developing countries than in the West. As such the West need to figure out how to dismantle and replace Credit Reporting Agencies, while the developing world has the benefit of skipping this step!
That's why you'll see adoption of some of this tech in developing world first.

Clearly lots of activity in the identity space. Lots of competitors to look at, and I like to look at Civic in light of the competitor landscape.
Seems there will not be one winner, but any thoughts on what groups are in the lead at this stage?
