Ok so I fixed my issue
If anyone is running into this issue, do the following:
sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get clean and sudo apt-get autopurge Repair all of your packages and software in the software center re-try installing the package again, should be good to go this time around
for some reason the python package was corrupted.

I'm having this problem with a new machine as well. My other one is fine, but for this particular version I'm encountering the python qt4 etc. "depends on, and is not install" issues others have reported here as well. Not able to proceed further until this is fixed, any ideas? I tried the fR suggestion here and still encountering problems. Bitcoin / Armory / Re: Noob question on Armory

To tack on to this question, I'm curious about where the addresses go if you delete the wallet from the menu. I tested this before actually using the software, and I can import the paper wallet backup just fine, but all the generated addresses that I created with it don't show up anymore underneath the named wallet (the ones that are made when you click "Receive money") when I did a test import. It's just a blank box. Is this supposed to happen if you import via Root and Chain Code key only? If so, is there a way to detect active addresses using that, or not really, since they are generated from a list?

Bitcoin / Armory / Generating Individual Private Key QR Codes?
|
on: November 16, 2013, 09:36:59 PM
|
Hey all!
Is there a way to enable a QR code for individual private keys somehow? Or am I missing it somewhere? For each of my individual address I like to keep a backup of the individual private key as well that's stored in a vault, but would like to have the QR code available on it "just for being picky"'s sake.
I am able to view the plain text list with the root key and chain code, but not sure if there is an option somewhere to make a QR code with the individual private keys as well.
Thanks in advance and happy coining!

Economy / Trading Discussion / [Australians] Please Help me Understand your Postal System (AusPost, etc).
|
on: October 31, 2013, 05:43:23 AM

Hello Aussies! Thanks for reading this thread. I have a few questions regarding your Postal System that I was not able to locate myself, I am hoping someone can shed some light. I am looking to expand my inventory to Australia. Currently, I am able to print labels, attach them to a box, and ship them here in the USA via FedEx, UPS, and USPS. This is easily accessible from their API's online and makes things go very quickly and easily. However, for Australia, it's like pulling teeth finding out any information. Can you guys help out? - What is your normal procedure for shipping a package via pre-paid label?
- What shipping services offer print-n-ship that cover your country Online?
- I notice that UPS is located in some areas, are they reliable and terribly expensive?
- What's the average rate for a 17lb item via UPS on the aus. site via Ground?
- What shipping services offer business pickups?
I'm having a hard time believing that you need to physically go to Auspost to ship an item out. If you can provide any further information regarding this it'd be much appreciated! Thank you! :) crypt0queen An American with no Aussie insight whatsoever.

but the glass is really much much stronger than it looks. you have to twist that shit to break it.
Good to know for future manufacturing! Cheers for sharing! :) The packing only adds an extra 1lb from the actual sign and stand it comes with though, so its not too much additional cost wise for shipping. If buyers look at the packing setup we have in the imgur album, I think the peace of mind is worth it alone. :D For those lurking, check out our production album here: http://imgur.com/a/qp3VA

No, but the packaging needs to be bulletproof and insured. Package handlers at airports are assholes :P
What he said. i have been in contact with neon glass before, its not easy to break. but i just assumed the shipper would ask for more cuz glass. i know more about neons than shipping :) I'm trying to cover all my basis as I want to remedy the negative vibes I get when unfortunate shipping incidents occur :P It's mostly just to protect the buyer. I'd rather be safe than sorry with packing regardless of how easy neons can or can't break. It's shitty to get a bad product because of mishandling; always disappointing.

Am I going blind? I can't see a price. How much for shipping to Australia?
Same here, I just read the post twice. It looks really cool! I would love to know the price
Price is calculated and generated upon current BTC rates, however, its equivalent is currently at $250 USD fiat, shipping not included. That part is automatically calculated at checkout depending on where your location is since it's by weight and not all locations are created equal :)

Economy / Goods / [For Sale] Bitcoin Accepted Here : Neon & LED Signs - GLOBAL
|

Hello everyone!
Great news today! If you have or haven't been following the progress of Bitcoin Neon signs, here is a TLDR: They're finally finished!
Manufacturing - COMPLETED, NOW SHIPPING Backstory: Being from New York City, I am surrounded by all of the colors of the spectrum. For me, this was a no brainer, and I decided shops deserve to have the bit of flair they deserve. While the traction with BTC used to be slow, these days everything has changed. More people are buying, selling, adopting, and converting their storefronts to accept BTC at their locations. It is huge, and there is no obvious way other than stickers that shout out "HEY! WE ACCEPT BTC!". All signs will be shipped via:UPS for Domestic USA orders, including carrier insurance. USPS Express Mail International for those outside of the country, including carrier insurance. Ships from California and New York. Everything will have tracking, guaranteed. Pricing adjusts to current market scale @ $350 USD Base. Other information:I currently run, and own, Cryptocables and have been doing business for many years online in e-commerce. For more information about myself, please read the thread located here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=195520.0 if you are interested. Additionally, I moderate and represent a moderator of a major LTC pool located on #freenode. If you have any questions, I am usually there (or sleeping) under the nick #freenode - crypt0queen. Feel free to chat with me at any time. Let's change the way how people view storefronts on Bitcoin. It needs to be more widely accepted everywhere, and I am hoping that this design will at least help spark people's curiosity even if they don't know what it is. Estimated Shipping Date: Now! Cryptocables is shipping these signs full throttle. Want to grab one from us? Come visit! http://www.cryptocables.comhttp://www.cryptocables.comhttp://www.cryptocables.com

Cool. If we preordered we will get them soon?
Yeah! I'm still waiting for your US shipping address, though. Got one for me yet? PM it to me I love the signs but it just kills me to pay $75 shipping, plus $40 brokerage fees, plus another $30 in tax to get it to Canada. Dat Canada tax! If you want me to put down a different importation value number on it I will do it (I rarely do), but keep in in if something happens on the way there it would effect the Insurance price it sets on the object from the shipping company.
