21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: excavator by NiceHash - multi-algorithm NVIDIA GPU miner [1.4.4a] on: May 30, 2018, 04:00:48 PM
  • From version 1.5.0a further excavator supports only NiceHash stratum servers. Stratum servers are available at:
nhmp.LOCATION.nicehash.com (LOCATION: eu, usa, hk, jp, in, br).

sad day when excavator was bound only to nicehash server, anyway gl with developement

@nitrobg Excavator is not best all alround, for some type my be Wink yes nicehash team they work to improve ... hsrminer is better like speed but it have big issue with functionality & support, other option it can be Ccminer KlausT 8.19 & 8.20 same it get better speed but same lack of functionality

@Blazin ccminer-alexis is outdate Wink

short version Nvidia on Neoscript & Equihash (only 1 chose dstm, excavator is very unstable) algorit miner have lack of a good miner

sory for off topic Claymore & still hope to see you release support for Nvidia to Smiley

cheers
23  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: hsrminer - Nvidia mining software for various algos by palgin&alexkap on: March 08, 2018, 11:41:12 AM
Sounds like you guys should collaborate on the miner and split the devfee. Justaminer has spent quite some time figuring out what the end-users want, including API and reliability. I doubt that he had any ill intent by patching it in the beginning based on posts in respective thread. Slapping a devfee on a patched release was questionable, but that was done before Palgin's return.

Palgin's kernel optimization work is amazing. No questions about it.

We all would benefit if you two combine your knowledge and experience and make a great miner to try and beat that excavator which currently has ~10% advantage on 1080/1080Ti.

I don't approve patching someone else's proprietary binary, but when the only dev went AWOL, there was some excuse for it. If I were the original dev in such situation, I would expect an apology from someone who hacked my binary without my knowledge and would be open to suggestions and collaboration. But that's just me.

In any case, try to be respectful and open-minded. The last thing we need right now is a dev war in this space.

With respect,
SCSI

Agreed 1000% & i will say for sure all community it have more to win if in stead a war between 2 brilliant person it start combine your mind & force !!! it create more for bouth of you & for all community Wink

cheers

Somebody knows a good pool for neoscrypt?
maybe a pool switching automatically between best neoscrypt coins?
thanks for ideas

if you not want to farm random coin try to farm GoByte on official pool
https://us1.gobyte.network see more here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2442185.0

or you can pick here a coin see this treath "List of NeoScrypt Powered Coins"

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=901149.0

altminer.net is good choise for multiple coin pool

cheers

Did I miss something? Difficulity and price went down by about 25% in 10 minutes. Did someone decide to unload GBX and move his farm to another coin? Cheesy
Well, I don't complain, I can mine more coins now!

about difficulty this it was happen after Claymore was release a new miner app for neoscrypt algoritm (AMD support only, sadly) Smiley for example on www.altminer.net site from a normal hrate 2-4 G was a jump to ~20-25 G hrate so conclusion is simple Smiley this it will settle in few day probabil ...

Hello
@gobyte small suggestion for official pool like:

https://us1.gobyte.network/

a. try to rise automatically pay balance from 0.001 (to low & it generate to many low transaction) to minimum 0.01 or better to 0.02
b. try to lower minim confirmation from 100 to 50-60 (like other coin) it take to much 5-6 hour to swap from immature to confirmate (this it will be good for other pool to)
c. make on Next Payout: 12:36 UTC to become "Current TIME Next | Payout: 12:36 UTC" & give option user to can swap on GMTor make page to automatically detect time region Smiley
d. try to add eu pool server but from what i see it goo well us aka for me from eu 123 mls is fine best was 40-50

cheers
27  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] dstm's ZCash / Equihash Nvidia Miner v0.6 (Linux / Windows) on: February 27, 2018, 11:03:14 AM
Hey all,

I created a small script to extract Nvidia and DSTM telemetry data into Prometheus to create nice dashboards.

Check it out and let me know what you think: https://github.com/pwm/rig-stats

that look intristing for a person who like to track statistic BUT from what i see it working only for linux Sad so when you have time to make for windows to will be nice Smiley cheers
28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's NeoScrypt AMD GPU Miner (Windows) on: February 24, 2018, 09:22:09 PM
Please Also think about us........ NVIDIA miners.......
Earlier yours Zcash was also AMD only....

Both my ZCash and Neoscrypt miners will be AMD-only, sorry.
There are many NVIDIA devs here and they already released appropriate miners.

come one mate because there are other miner out there not means equality is same, plus more choise always is better & it can create a good dev competition my be in a pozitive way ... personal after i was use your Eth one damn i can say i wish you to change your mind & make Zcash & this new Neoscrypt supporting Nvidia to

but probabil maintain AMD & Nvidia on same equality is not easy task ...

anyway hope to change your mind & make a lot ppls happy

Cheers & thx

a suggestion for all who post diferite test result with diferite gpu to make post relevant & help developer, community it require more that number & it will be good info to post technical data to ... something like

Hardware Spec & setting:
GPU 0: Gigabyte Windforce 2 NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 3GB (Samsung for some algorithm it is relevant for)
OS: Windows 7 Service Pack 1
Video Driver: 390.65
MSI Afterburn: 4.4.2 (version)
Power limit: 74
Temp limit: 80
Core Clock: +168
Memmory Clock: +600
GPU 1: - . -
Power limit: ---
Temp limit: ---
Core Clock: ---
Memmory Clock: ---

Code:
INFO : [19:15:42] : GPU#0 - Gigabyte GTX 1060 3GB, Temp is 57C, Fans at 66%, Power consumption 86W
 INFO : [19:15:42] : Share Accepted
 INFO : [19:15:59] : Share Accepted, overall speed is 731.01kH/s, efficiency 100.00%

way it help this data because say GPU X = Y Speed with out care / provide info like what tuning it use PL., Core Clock,  Mem. Clock is not help anyone nether dev nether community, print screen is good to but not such important like what i suggest first

cheers

probabil if Claymore it will add support for Nvidia to it will make many miner happy & i will love that to ... hope to see that day came Smiley
32  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: HSRMINER Neoscrypt Fork by Justaminer - New ver,GTX 970,980,980Ti supported now! on: February 20, 2018, 02:39:40 PM
Just_a_miner

now i get it after reading what you was replay "Okay, now how to connect. As far as I know you can connect from linux with telnet." & "If you are trying to connect from browser using websockets - please show .html you are using" what means you was just implement api request not provide let say a default .html to ... it require user to build own html or use telnet, putty (windows, linux) or Remote manager provide by claymore see the EthMan

about awesome miner i not advice to recommend only for appi, putty, telnet (booth work on windows to) is more that inaff ... awesome miner make to much mess, personally i spend to much time clean after i was try to test it ...

for future try to implement a default html to like dstm, bminer, excavator have if you can Smiley same say in OP treath description it require a external application like telnet / putty

cheers & thx for clarify this

Hello
It seams API is not functional or bugy coz i try to use  -b, --api-bind=port & i recive:
A. The connection was reset or B. Unable to connect

With TCPView app i see port is allocated for hsrminer but nothing is show in browser aka see msg

cheers

Can someone please explain me one thing.
When I run DSTM or EWBF I have one card that starts ok but then goes down very fast to 1/2 hashrate.
NVIDIA Inspector shows very small (about 30-40%) usage of MCU on that card.
If I run ccminer (any algo) - all is fine, all cards are equal. So it seems to me that this is an equihash issue.
Please check card 1. Sometimes it shows shares like .. That card is totally equal with 7.8.9 GPUs, so it must give 750 h/s

Defective card?

@Shodo if that card alone run at max speed with out problem i doubt is Defective card or riser ... single issue what came in my mind is Power or miner have issue suport 10 card. Anyway i see you have 10 card, try to run with lower batch like 3 card, 4 card, 5 card & see if that wierd bug it happen & if it apear at some higher combo. IF bug is about to many card then single solution what i have in my mind to run 2 diferite miner sesion like 5 card to a pool 5 other to other pool ... or in any stable combo you find ... same i not think it need to be full restart your rig just stop miner & restart is inaff for testing special i see bug it strike fast under 2-3 min ...

cheers
35  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: excavator by NiceHash - multi-algorithm NVIDIA GPU miner [1.4.4a] on: February 19, 2018, 11:17:57 AM
When you use the commandline option M, is there any visual indication on startup?  I'm just playing around with it and equihash, and I tried -M 2 and -M=2 and neither one seemed to make any difference, so I'm not sure if I'm missing something.  FWIW, I'm running the latest Linux version.

@MarkAz for equihash algo to change Mode of algorithm you need to do it like this in confing json file:

Code:
{"id":1,"method":"worker.add","params":["0","0","0"]}

Were ["0","0","0"] = a. 0 = Device 0, b. 0 = worker 0, c. 0 = M0 (for M1 use 1, for M2 use 2) this is only for equihash for other algo there are diferite value

https://github.com/nicehash/excavator/tree/master/nvidia#equihash

Yes it is a visual indication at witch Mode excavator start exactly on beginning in console it say that (using Mode parameter in json or not excavator it start on a default stage & it say it).

p.s. for dev make in logs to be record Mode & Block value to pls

cheers

@dropky hello

I see a good improvement with 1.4.4.a on neoscrypt algoritm!!! & now i am try to figure how i can tweak best for get close to Hsrminer performance, so can you explain or give more details about what means "Mode of algorithm" is a intensitie, what exactly do ? With default excavator parameter neoscript algo it bring this value mining VIVO:

Code:
core | Algorithm 'neoscrypt' total speed: 692.720640 kH/s

Hardware Spec & setting:
GPU 0: Gigabyte Windforce 2 NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 3GB (Samsung) dedicate to mining
GPU 1: Gigabyte NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650 2GB only for own use, not for mining
OS: Windows 7 Service Pack 1
Video Driver: 390.65
MSI Afterburn: 4.4.2
Power limit: 74
Temp limit: 80
Core Clock: +168
Memmory Clock: +650

https://github.com/nicehash/excavator/tree/master/nvidia#neoscrypt

Any news about fix & improve equihash algoritm ?

thx & cheer
37  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] dstm's ZCash / Equihash Nvidia Miner v0.6 (Linux / Windows) on: February 16, 2018, 06:45:01 PM
anyone has tried intensity option in start.bat in v0.6? i still not understand Sad . CCminer for neoscrypt easy just put -i 17.6 <--(value)

i will quote from default cfg bring from dstm, see in your directory were you was extract zm . cfg
Code:
#intensity=0:0.9,1:0.85       # Reduce the load which is put on the gpu valid
                              # range ]1.0-0.0[. Format: comma separated list
                              # of dev_id:intensity values e.g '0:0.5,2:0.6'
                              # Intensity uses performance data - it takes
                              # some time till it gets applied.
38  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] dstm's ZCash / Equihash Nvidia Miner v0.6 (Linux / Windows) on: February 16, 2018, 06:30:43 PM
@neekir do not increse clock to much aka +160-170 is aceptable one for 74 Power limit you risc 2 thing: get agen more temperature & fry gpu force him to goo on higher clock with less power

make this hapen, i know easy to say hard to be done
Code:
   GPU0  71C it need to become    GPU0  ~61C - ~62C
   GPU1  71C it need to become    GPU0  ~61C - ~62C
   GPU2  71C it need to become    GPU0  ~61C - ~62C
   GPU4  71C it need to become    GPU0  ~61C - ~62C
   GPU3  71C it need to become    GPU0  ~61C - ~62C
   GPU5  71C it need to become    GPU0  ~61C - ~62C
   GPU6  69C it need to become    GPU0  ~61C - ~62C
then you will be fine, so do this:
- Power limit 74, temp limit 80, core clock +160(my udvice max 165), mem clock 0(100-150), Fan: 75% fixed
glad i was can help you

39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] dstm's ZCash / Equihash Nvidia Miner v0.6 (Linux / Windows) on: February 16, 2018, 05:58:50 PM
@neekir well thx to @promomei here your prof see how much important is temperature Smiley
@promomei perfect proff memory it not matter Wink

Code:
his  45 C temp with 80 Power limit = 170 intensity = ~310 Sol/s = micron
my   61 C temp with 73 Power limit = 161 intensity = ~302 Sol/s = samsung
your 71 C temp with 74 Power limit = 145 intensity = ~260 sol/s = hynix

to get better result you need to lower your temperature to at list ~62 best case scenario for 80 Temperature Limit & for sure that is not easy for you be in india were humidity + temp are usual high from what i know .... so now i think you get it Smiley

Power Limit it set a limit what GPU it will goo base on Temperature limit set aka that 2 value are link togheter what are translated in I/s: = intensity / sec what influence Sol/s

@neekir set this Power 74, temp 80, core clock +160 , mem clock 0 , Fan: 75% fixed = you will get slice more

cheers
40  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] dstm's ZCash / Equihash Nvidia Miner v0.6 (Linux / Windows) on: February 16, 2018, 03:24:45 PM
see @neekir there is your problem

your temp limit is 78 (you are already on limit) & you let fan auto speed aka your gpu are already to 77 so is exactly what i think aka you get low hspeed because miner it lower intensity to protect (I/s: = intensity / sec)

try this setting:

- Power Limit 74 = this it suppose to lower heat to a max ~62 my be ~63 depend how is your ambience temp
- set Fan speed to a permanent 65 - 70% (tune your value till you see you get lower temperature) let them work on auto sometime it work badly better keep them on a specific speed always coz your rig is never stop & never rest

idea is to high temperature it lower gpu & miner intensity because it try to self protect so who say keep them on high temp is good tell them to goo to hell .... yes actual gpu can run on high temp BUT that not means it is normal most bad enemies for all electronic is temp & dust
- Temperature limit 80
- Lower GPU clock to 160 that means it will lower temperature to Wink & it will alow to increase memory probabil bigger value but i say agen on equihash speed memory count less

yes hynix is worst vs samsung from any point of view but see what i tell about equihash algoritm ... if you was mining eth i say yup is relevant but in our case nop

the point is you need to get a balance between power usage > temp > fan speed other way you get scrue up your self losing a lot from income & killing your equipment, tuning you can make it with out stop & start miner app if you using windows & msi afterburner but it possible to crash till you find right combo ...

same get a better pool with better latency 250 is bad bad bad special for a dedicate rig Wink

hope it help
