81  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bminer: a fast Equihash miner for CUDA GPUs on: January 09, 2018, 04:16:38 PM
@realbminer

I seen agen 4 permanent network connection done by bminer
1. Api = OK
2. Poll what is mine = OK
3. bminer.exe   XXX.ip-79-137-XX.eu   6633   ESTABLISHED = ?!?!
4. bminer.exe   XXX.31.69.XXX   https   ESTABLISHED = Huh

3 or 4 it suppose to be dev fee, BUT way 2 address ?!?!?! in version 3 was only 1 from 4 & 5 it came with 2 ?!??!?!

How do I have to write it in the .bat file if I want to enter the following (that's how you write in EWBF):
 miner --server zen.2miners.com --port 7070 --user YOUR_ADDRESS.RIG_ID --pass x --eexit 3 --pec --fee 0

I don't know how to write the
Code:
--pass x --eexit 3 --pec --fee 0
part in the .bat file so bminer is able to read it correctly. Can anyone help me please?

bminer -devices 0 (card what you want to use) -uri stratum://wallet(or username).worker:pass@webpooladress:port -api 127.0.0.1:1880

look here for more details https://www.bminer.me/examples/

cheers

Thank you for a detailed feedback.
I think there are some misunderstandings on your part, however.
First, GGS is intended not to be a bare-bone miner but to be a complete mining package.
Second, my current focus is not on NVIDIA but on AMD.
I have most of current NVIDIA cards as I worked for NiceHash before and I will eventually get to them, but I would like to achieve a top-notch performance with GGS and AMD cards first.

In any case, GGS'es design choices only make sense if you think of it more as a comprehensive platform than as a component part.

Well i not undestend what i do "misunderstandings" but well it was a feedback & how i see actual situation.

- IF you want to make a complete mining package is your choose & is nice but i am just tell you how i see thing: a application/package what try to do to many, with untune algorithm (but part with tune is because see below). IF you want to implement something similar with MSI Afterburner inside application is your choose off course but at list give ppls option to use your OC system or not & say it in description, because if there are 2 app what try to OC in same time a device they will end fight & cause trouble Wink Let ppls to chose what part it want to use from your package, it will be wise because it will make application more flexible ...

- IF "focus is not on NVIDIA but on AMD" then say it in first OP treath / program description, coz there are already ppls who ask how it work app from NVIDIA perspective

anyway anything what you choose to do is your & only your decision i & any person who try your GGS it will tell how it see thing from there side, perspective ... at list from my side everything is perfect clear & i undestend exactly what i do (my be my writing in eng is horrible i know i am eng butcher Smiley )

cheers & glad to see your work & special you was not stop work after nicehash experience end

Hello o7
GPU: Gigabyte Windforce 2 NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 3GB (Samsung)
OS: Windows 7 Service Pack 1
Video Driver:  388.71
MSI Afterburn: 4.4.2
Gateless_Gate_Sharp_1.1.16_alpha

Device #0: 252,01 Kh/s (NeoScrypt) vs other miner what can hit 550-650 Kh/s = very LOW speed
Device #0 (CryptoNight): 154,35 h/s vs ccminer.v.2.2.3 = 512 h/s = very LOW speed
Device #0 (Ethash): 23,16 Mh/s > is most close to a good speed 24 Mh/s = GOD speed

- this error was trow when Ethash i was test it:

Comment:

1. You try to do to many thing at this point, in stead focus on optimize miner algo aka miner application it not suppose to OC, Control Fan or tune in any way GPU > GPU tune it need to be done before any miner application (what ever it is) it start to be be use & miner it need just to use setting what is already done ... for that it exist MSI Afterburn, for that ppls make update & tune video bios, so short version your application need to start & mine. IF in future you can add extra option what allow to make fine tune is ok BUT first focus on optimize mining algorithm ...

2. Application is very lagy start, stop, close, open, change thing it response very slow & something it have habit to freze or not response for 10-15 sec

3. Warning with Windows Swap size is bad one for a system with 8 G ram & 2 video gpu asking to set 24 G Swap O.o really ?!?!?! 8 - 16 G swap is more that inaff for mining or gaming or anything what is need to be done, add an option to remove, ignore that warning from beginning ...

85  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: excavator by NiceHash - multi-algorithm NVIDIA & AMD GPU miner [1.3.7a] on: January 03, 2018, 07:45:10 PM
Hello Team,

Is there a way to setup backup pools in excavator ? If not can it be added as a feature ? Would be great to have, some nicehash stratum are going down and it's a shame to lose out in mining time when they does.

Thanks  Grin

Currently there is no option for backup pools, but it's definitely a reasonable request, I'll see what I can do.

ello there
few small feedback & request:

1. Excavator need attention for BTG algoritm coz it generate to many reject / fail & same equihash algo it need better tuning like speed / power see dtms, bminer what are much much faster & optimal

example: dtms, bminer work constant 1060 GTX 3G with 300-310 Sol /s - 86W vs Excavator 282 Sol/s - 86W ONLY if is set on M0 mode

2. Neoscript same it can get more speed
example: 1060 GTX 3G Excavator work with 540 when hsrminer or nsgminer it push to 600-620

i test all version 1.3.0.a, 1.3.3.a, 1.3.4.a, 1.3.6.a, 1.3.7.a, 1.3.8.a ... all are great but they need better ajustment & personal i will like to get back to Excavator becouse i like much more json + bat run combo it can make thing more organize & easy

cheers
86  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bminer: a fast Equihash miner for CUDA GPUs on: January 03, 2018, 07:08:54 PM
Recently tested Bminer: agree, the performance is just amazing. More than 15% faster than EWBF on the same cards. Up to stable 320 Sol/s for 1060 3GB and 600 Sol/s for G1 1080.

But before mass moving to Bminer I have two questions:
1. What the "firmware.bin" file is for? Does Bminer reflash your video cards? Can this affect guarantee?
2. Why it keeps connections not only to the specified pool but two more hosts nowhere mentioned?

Good questions. Would also like to know an answer to those before mass moving to bminer.

I don't think these questions have actually been definitely answered? I see speculation on #2, and nothing on #1. Thanks.

1. It contains runtime and licensing information. It does not flash the video card and will not affect the warranty.
2. They are related to devfee.

If your bminer need 2 constant connection to get dev fee then sorry you do it wrong!!! way not do same thing like claymore in his program aka connect to pool what you want use only when dev fee it meant to be collect not to keep 100% extra connection in your case after 4.0 ver x2  Embarrassed Undecided  & that was make me to say pass but nop thx ... special ip what was there was very let say strange ...

Tcpview done by sysinternals it reveal easy all network connection use

about speed your bminer it do same speed like dtms but it push power with extra 2W more that it suppose to be in stead 86 it make to be 88 or 88 to be 90 & that i seen in more heat to, other way is very stable, same amount of reject like dtms from time to time 1% very rare ...

cheers
87  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] dstm's ZCash / Equihash Nvidia Miner v0.5.7 (Linux / Windows) on: December 30, 2017, 06:41:18 PM
GPU: Gigabyte Windforce 2 NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 3GB (Samsung)
OS: Windows 7 Service Pack 1

Power Limit:   72% (around 86W)
Core Clock:    168
VRam Clock:    760
Video Driver:  388.59
Fan Speed:     66%
MSI Afterburn: 4.4.0

GPU0 61C Sol/s: 303.2 Sol/W: 3.45 Avg: 298.9 I/s: 160.1 Sh: 2.20

Power limit it can be up more but it will not be justifie speed gain aka from 300 (86W) to a my be 320 (102W) aka 16W it will not push much more Share/second .... plus temp it will jump from steady 61C with 66% Fan Speed to a 67C same fan speed. Soo from my point best tuning for x60 is Power limit 72-74% = 86-88W optimal Sol/W ration
88  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: EWBF's CUDA Zcash miner on: December 28, 2017, 10:43:21 PM
Hey guys i set up this miner with nanopool and i have 2x1070’s and 1x1080ti with a 760 watt psu. When i launch the miner it runs for about 2 second. And then crashes and my pc reboots with a power surge error in the bios menu.

I use these same 3 cards to mine ethereum and it runs for weeks. What could be the issue? I used a power meter and with all 3 cards i get 580 watts being used. Why does it work for mining eth but crash when mining zcAsh?

first of all the big difference between ETH (ethash) & Zcash (equihash) is ETH more high speed memory usage & less power need coz it not need so much GPU & Zcash aka equihash algoritm it need more GPU aka more real power & it care less about video ram speed & all of this is translate ETH (ethash) it consume less power vs Zcash (equihash) more power aka your 760 W PSU for sure is at limit special you have 2 x 1070 + 1 x 1080 ti ...

i will give my 1060 example: ETH = 65W - 70W vs Zcash = 86W minim soo conclusion is up to you Wink

zawawa,

Your fantastic work is always appreciated!
Nevertheless I see the gap between users wishing you to add support for this and that (also, web-interface, linux version, etc.). We all know how depended your work is from the dev-fee.
May I suggest, you use something like https://www.bountysource.com to get "paid" for implementing new features etc.? It could be another source of income for you, while users can pledge (small) amounts of money to have things implemented quicker (e.g.: add equihash algo = $250. Only 25 members pledge 10 bucks and you'll have a nice "motivation-boost" to add this fast). Maybe by using such a mixed form of financing your work, you could even lower the dev-fee in the future?
Just an idea you may want to consider..

Cheers,
Andy

Well point of a fee add to miner app: to get income to motivate dev to keep app update & on optimal performance. What it means if ppls ask for diferite alg ? it means there are demand on that type (with it can be a good feedback for dev, my be he not have time to track all UP & Down crypto movement), then if is a demand it means more ppls it will use miner app aka it means more income for dev from fee, is simple aka a win win situation. Same if ppls ask for something it means ppls see in dev work a potential improvement & it can help dev to make his app better & better

Soo from my perspective asking for a specific amount $$$$ just add a algo or for some feature it will look greedy, i my opinion ... but in the end is choice of dev how it decide to work ... aaaa IF a person say I WANT now a alg or something to be ad & i want NOW yes dev can ask for pay or they can negotiate in private, there are multiple option ...

Now what is benefit of have more miner app? it create competition between dev with is good for miner get more happy & dev steady fee income, agen win win situation

Is a easy task ?! off course not but none force someone to make something free or payd ... & at this special period crismas, holiday when most of us want to spend time with family or frend's it not matter Smiley all we just need to be patience & wait thing to move on Smiley soo cheers agen & Happy Holiday to all mates

p.s. zawawa like a joke if you get wife agroo or on enrage mod then i gues it will not mater anything Smiley cheers

Gateless Gate Sharp 1.1.7 alpha
https://github.com/zawawawa/GatelessGateSharp/releases/tag/v1.1.7-alpha

* Removed the 8 GPU limitation.
* Made stratum connections more stable.

Now it's much easier to add new algorithms.
I will work on Equihash next.

damn!!! you have time on this period to work on your project Smiley cheers
Waiting patience for equihash algo to be add Smiley but wath out try to came with same performace like dtms & bminer & probabil many it will switch special you have only 1% deev fee Wink
sadly excavator with i was like it become to slow & it not work on pool what i need coz that damn ban conflict ...
cheers & glad to see more miner app choise
91  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: excavator by NiceHash - multi-algorithm NVIDIA & AMD GPU miner [1.3.7a] on: December 27, 2017, 01:24:10 PM
Hey Nicehash,

I am starting to really enjoy using Excavator.  Unless I am missing something, any thought on add the ability to device print speed?  This would sum up all the workers for that device.

For doo that you need to edit json file like this:

Code:
{"time":3,"commands":[
{"id":1,"method":"worker.add","params":["0","0","0"]},
{"id":1,"method":"worker.add","params":["0","0","0"]},
{"id":1,"method":"worker.add","params":["0","1","0"]},
{"id":1,"method":"worker.add","params":["0","1","0"]}
]},
{"time":10,"loop":10,"commands":[
{"id":1,"method":"worker.print.speed","params":["0"]},
{"id":1,"method":"worker.print.speed","params":["1"]},
{"id":1,"method":"algorithm.print.speeds","params":["0"]}
]}

this it will add 2 worker / 1 device in M-0 Mode Be ware it depend by what algoritm it is use

["0","0","0"] = 0 = Device 0, 0 = worker 0, 0 = M0 mining mode (remove if you want default M1)

This section it will make miner to print speed at how many worker you was add first
Code:
{"id":1,"method":"worker.print.speed","params":["0"]},
{"id":1,"method":"worker.print.speed","params":["1"]},

93  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: excavator by NiceHash - multi-algorithm NVIDIA & AMD GPU miner [1.3.7a] on: December 19, 2017, 09:00:11 PM
For miningpoolhub pools - resolve domain name to IP, and insert to Excavator json config - Profit!

I suspect it's more than that - as that would be a pretty trivial bypass.  I wouldn't be surprised of some part of the Stratum protocol probably includes some host field and that's what it's working off of.
You may suspect that, but did you try it?  You might be surprised.

yes i was try replace named adress with IP & yes it wroking BUT is more about trivial bypass, coz invalid share it will be many Wink aka let give you a expample > Your Invalid: 676.0354 (26.58%) for equihash algo on one rownd, it was not a problem if was 1-2% but 25% to much. I any other pool invalid share are 0 or max 1% soo my conclusion is yes is more that trivial bypass special if i run other miner like dstm 0% bad share Wink or EWBF

anyway for me is clear excavator & miningpoolhub not work togheter = https://github.com/nicehash/excavator/issues/51
94  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] dstm's ZCash / Equihash Nvidia Miner v0.5.7 (Linux / Windows) on: December 17, 2017, 01:40:12 PM
Have anyone tested dstm's miner ver.0.5.7 with GTX 1060 3G? Also, please share your setting?
I could not purchase more P106-100, but there're some MSI GTX 1060 3G are available, so I'm still considering.
Thanks!

GPU: Gigabyte Windforce 2 NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 3GB (Samsung)
OS: Windows 7 Service Pack 1

Power Limit: 72% (around 82-90W)
Core Clock:  +160
VRam Clock:  680 (vram it can be push to 920-930 depend by algoritm & what miner it i use)
Video Driver: 388.59

Code:
GPU0  60C  Sol/s: 306.9  Sol/W: 3.45 - 3.50  Avg: 297.7  I/s: 159.8  Sh: 2.20

Mining speed it is around ~300 Sol/s with this miner, with other miner it betewen 270-300. Tuning done in MSI Afterburner it depend by each video card & be ware dstm it sems it will not work with same tuning use for exemple in excavator or in EWBF or in Ccminer, same each algo it have diferite requirement Wink

i will add NeoScrypt: around 500-550 depend by what miner it use

hope it will help you but keep in mind value can variate from a brand to other & special what brand are video memory made. 1060 video card are decent for mining with good balance power consumtion > speed. i will add is better to aim for 6g Vram version because they will have a longer future usage see rising dificulty ...

cheers
95  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: excavator by NiceHash - multi-algorithm NVIDIA & AMD GPU miner [1.3.7a] on: December 17, 2017, 12:08:44 PM
First off, good job on Excavator, I really find it super easy to use - both on Windows and Linux.

One note on your linux distribution, it doesn't include the /web/index file that you do with the Windows, but if you put it in the same directory as where you run excavator from, it works fine.  It took me a couple of attempts to figure out where it wanted the web folder, I wish that when you cranked up the messages with -d 0 that it would give full paths on failures so you could see where it was looking.

My main question is this - I've used it with a couple pools, such as Nicehash and ZPool without issue, but when I try to use it with MiningPoolHub, it doesn't ever seem to connect - and at the same time it doesn't seem to have any additional error messages for me to figure out what isn't correct (even with -d 0).  Any insight on this, an example of using this pool, or steps to try to debug what's going on?

Thanks again!

about MiningPoolHub from what i undestend from treath pool page Excavator it have block that pool by dev look on last page

as far as i knw excavator you are using was develop by nicehash. As they developed it they will lock it up only to be used for their pool. Greedy nicehash is to blame. It is best that we as miners exercise due diligence.

yes excavator was & it is dev by ppls what was & work for nicehash, but that not means is working only on they'r pool if you was read what i was write is working perfectly on Nano, Supernova, zpool or on any other ... only on here is not but if admin of pool decide to ban a miner apps is his decision Wink

NiceHash blocked MiningPoolHub on Excavator.

aaronsace  sorry from first your affirmation i was undestend other way aka excavator is block by pool ... now you say dev from excavator was block this pool ? errr never mind i get headhake  Roll Eyes  i will move on > that is not working here < fine fine i will keep simple Cheesy

way or if is true i not know ze point is Excavator it not mine on that pool
96  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: excavator by NiceHash - multi-algorithm NVIDIA & AMD GPU miner [1.3.7a] on: December 17, 2017, 11:59:43 AM
I'm having trouble using Excavator to mine Pascal Coin on Nanopool. The miner launches, detects the card, but doesn't seem to do anything.

Code:
$ excavator -a pascal -s pasc-us-west1.nanopool.org:15555 -u ${addr}.0.${worker}/${mail} -d 0 -ca

I get the exact same behavior on Windows 10 and Linux (Ubuntu 16.04). What am I doing wrong?

1. you need to edit / create a new json file for each algo what you want to use for be organize
start editing default_command_file.json & rename it for algo like pasc.nanopool.json

2. after create your json edit excavator+web+restart_script.bat file & 3'rd line it suppose to look like this:
SET COMMAND_FILE=pasc.nanopool.json then you are ready to mine

3. corect is wallet(user).worker:pass or wallet.worker:email not wallet.worker/email

NiceHash are not 'nice' people contrary to their name.

MultiPoolMiner can launch Excavator on it's own.

well if you refer to last bad think done with hack yes i can undestend your point. but Excavator like miner is very good one stable, good speed, plenty config option & zawawa when was work on this miner app was done a great job, sadly he was stop to work for but is perfectly undestanble Smiley he was lucky was get out before mess was hit the ...

anyway thx to you i undestend way was refuse to work, thx agen for that!!! but i will pass for use tertiary (3'rd) app only to can run what i need to run, hope in future this block it will lift

thx for suggestion

@miningpoolhub hello

one small question way i can't make excavator mining to your pool noo success to equihash or neoscript

i was use this setting
{"id":1,"method":"algorithm.add","params":["equihash","stratum+tcp://europe.equihash-hub.miningpoolhub.com:20595","user.worker:pass"]} = noo success
or
{"id":1,"method":"algorithm.add","params":["equihash","europe.equihash-hub.miningpoolhub.com:20595","user.worker:pass"]} = noo success

noo success at address europe.equihash-hub.miningpoolhub.com:12023

EWBF.0.3.4b miner it working but with less speed vs Excavator what work perfectly on nanoo, supernova or enyother pool just on your poll it refuse to conect, soo what can i doo ?
i was try run Excavator v.1.3.2.a, v.1.3.3.a, v.1.3.6.a, v.1.3.7.a, v.1.3.8.a
thx

Update:
hmm i found this:
MiningPoolHub is blocked be Excavator; try MultiPoolMiner to bypass the block.
Question is WAY was block Excavator & is any chanse to be use in future YES / NO ?!?!?
if NO then time to move from this pool

thx
