Rules: You may use a maximum of two, 3* players or better per game and you can enter as many tournaments as you want.
How it works:
Prizes are selected randomly once 3 players have entered using the same prize pool multiplier shown in the poker example above.
(In the above table, 6% is kept by PokerStars as rake, meaning there is an additional 60 000 XFC per 1 million XFC paid in tourney fees that can be used to purchase and randomly award 3* or better player cards just for participating. )
- Only having to select 5 players should be a lot easier for novice players & decrease the skill edge
- Limiting the amount of >3* players per game further reduces edge of richer players.
- Because there are only 3 random people per tourney, even bad players should often win a tournament.
- Players have the excitement of having the possibility to win 100k XFC or up to a 5* player card every time they enter a 3 man tournament for just a 10 XFC buy in.
This definitely sounds like a great idea, but might need to be tweak a little. It solves one of the major problems, getting players to move from freerolls to contests they pay a fee to enter. I would certainly enter if they were available.
