1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Concern about Ethereum performance on: February 19, 2020, 06:38:47 PM
The problem with these is the fact that you can never know whats going to happen with ethereum at all, I mean I remember when cryptokitties when first started and there was so much attention to it that people made insane amounts of profit from it, however when you look it at now, there is no way we can say it can do the same thing once again.

So, when you do something like this, there could be a lot of stuff going on because there is a new dapp or basically just a reason to do it, but at the same time there could be nothing at all and you may end up losing money, we will never know which one will happen. You basically just gamble this money away and you end up just assuming whats going to happen and roll a dice, maybe you will profit, maybe you won't.

Yes, I was researching the CryptoKitties case. It drastically increased amount of transactions on the network that time. It was almost 5000 txs an hour, with average 300 txs an hour.
But now Ethereum has almost 3600 txs an hour at average, so CryptoKitties won't congest the network if it would launch now.

But I still have the same concerns.

When you worry this much, i think it shows you have little gas fee to spend
yes the transaction gas has been high since money, i think the etherum is busy and it is stil not a huge amount.

The highest gwei can't be more than 0.6$ which is cheap

TS meant network capability. Your post is irrelevant.

In case of 500.000 transactions a day everything is relevat

I am ready to pay up to 12 Gwei with max 300.000 Gas per tx.
I know it is more than enough.
I am worrying that network by itself will get congested and we will not get anywhere with Ethereum.

I am looking also to use Tron as backend. Do you think it worth it?
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Concern about Ethereum performance on: February 18, 2020, 08:36:12 PM
I ma going to launch a smart contract that will produce massive amount of calls to it. And calls are going to be pretty much costly (due to memory allocation).
One call is worth 150.000 gas now, I am trying to optimize.
I plan to have more than 500.000 calls to it a day.
I am concerned that Ethereum blockchain is not capable to do it.
Are there other blockchains that can handle such huge amount of pretty costly calls?

So I managed to install Raspbian on Raspberry, and now I am looking for some simple test utilities that will allow me to test connectivity to MEI using USB-RS232.
6  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: General Bytes BATM Conversion Kit on: January 21, 2020, 10:44:09 PM
The ATM has generic Logitech camera for scanning QR-codes and very common bill acceptor called MEI.

The camera is USB, while MEI bill acceptor is RS232 connected.
I will try to use USB-RS232 convertor to get everything on USB.
7  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: General Bytes BATM Conversion Kit on: January 21, 2020, 10:41:07 PM
The major issue with converting ATM into some open source machine is the display and touch screen.

Touch-screen:
Transparent Glass I2C Interface 7" Multitouch Projected Capacitive Touch Screen FN070AV01.

Luckily Raspberry has capability to communicate using I2C.
I2C is a bus communication protocol similar to RS-485 (very popular in security systems) or CAN-bus (very popular in automobiles).
They are a little bit more complex that RS-232 or TTL that is being used for peer-peer connectivity.
8  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / General Bytes BATM Conversion Kit on: January 17, 2020, 09:30:55 PM
Hi everyone,

I own General Bytes BATMTwo Classic (with 600 notes).

I decided to get rid of General Bytes software and have some other software installed.
So if anyone has experience with getting it done, any help will be appreciated.

I will use this thread to keep everyone updated.

Thanks!!!

I've seen these ATM's popping up around the city but they never seem busy and some seem to avoid it, when I asked around many said it seemed to complicated.

Does the unit include any help or instructions that people can follow clearly?  When you are starting out, how much BTC/UDST should you have in there.

Can you adjust the fee's and does the unit need any upkeep / regular maintenance?
Hi, yes, the unit include complete maintance and installation guide and instruction for people how to use it.
As to the BTC amount it's up to you. Some of our clients load 1500 USDT.
You able remotely configure your fee. Regular maintenance include printer paper changing and cash collection.
Hope I answered your questions. If you have more, please feel free to ask.

Any news on this?

11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coinrail hacked. PundiX mostly affected. on: July 03, 2018, 10:14:42 AM
I feel the story with Coinrail hack and Pundix smell bad.
1. Why does Pundix do ICO at first? They are having a product almost ready. They could make it presale... I mean they could get money out of nothing much easier way.
2. What if they don't have a product nearby ready? Or facing some technical bottlenecks to release it? Then it makes sense to do this shit with token hodlers and mock the robbery....
Well, the history will settle it for us, but currently this story is awkward and not clear at least.

T1 it's 1-way model, to buy & sell you need T2.

Hi, any news on two-way machine? Any time estimate maybe?

Hi, 2-way machine should be ready in 2 weeks. Now we did some upgrade and it's in Beta testing.
Send me your contact details and I'll inform you.

Great, I am sending you my contacts in PM. Thanks!

16  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: How to get my BTC money refunded? on: June 02, 2018, 08:54:55 AM
Hello Everyone,

I need your suggestion to get my money back. I have paid some BTC to a PTC site to add it to my balance but that PTC site is not giving any response. What should I do? How can I get my BTC money refunded?

Please give your advice.

Thank You
you should be careful in sending btc to any unknown site because some people say this diforum do not know at all what is PTC site whether it is the same stock exchange site or wallet including I also do not know what is PTC site and just heard about the site but usually in a site there is a service for a mistake you can try just ask.

It is clearly a risk, and if you want to keep using Bitcoin you should learn some basic about how it work.
17  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Are You Afraid of KYC? on: June 02, 2018, 08:53:01 AM
I do not see a problem with KYC, IСO - that's the real problem.

Scam ICO is a problem. As well as classic VC is a problem as classic VC in most cases plainly speaking just kills entrepreneurship as a class.
18  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Why Banks are attacking Bitcoin ? on: June 02, 2018, 08:51:36 AM
I also really like Bitcoin and I always pray the best for the development of Bitcoin in the future. I am sure that one day all the countries of the world will legalize Bitcoin and accept Bitcoin completely. Yes, it seems very unlikely but I believe in any crypto can happen. Banks attacked Bitcoin because the bank feels a big loss since the presence of Bitcoin.

For some reason I think Bitcoin is a little bit more than payment tech.
I guess it is really a device for major structural change in how governments and countries are operating now. Therefore if governments want to stay almost the same without starting a large scale opposition to Bitcoin, then they need to adapt and do it ASAP.

I am interested and I live in Canada. No government registration required for both buy and sell operations.
Questions
Can the T1 do both buy and sell?
Can I connect to an exchange via API? I dont want to have my own wallets and own crypto, too much fluctuation risks
Will bill checker work with Canadian funds? Or will I hafto buy more parts?

Hi,
T1 it's 1-way model, to buy & sell you need T2.
Yes, you able to connect to exchange via API. At the moment we're going to launch our own exchange that give you opportunity reduce all fluctuation risks.
Yes, checker work with many currencies and Canadian funds as well. You don't need to buy any spare parts.
For more questions contact me by email: dpanasenko@jetcrypto.com or write here.

Can you send more details about your exchange and how it is gonna work in connection to your ATMs?
