1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why did dogecoin survive? on: June 24, 2020, 05:46:45 PM
Doge's price descent is likely due to the infinite supply that is inflated by a significant value per year.  Perhaps it still stays alive due to the meme nature of it.

The early year it was created and launched in is also advantageous: it was launched at an early age of Blockchain, right when memes literally exploded all over the web so it does not surprise me at all that it still survives many years later.  Furthermore.. it is cheap, fast, the fees are absolutely meaningless.. only if strong development continued, it might have been placed higher in the ranks today.

But being a joke cryptocurrency, it probably would not be a very sane move to make it a legitimate, widely-adopted one, albeit in case of a real cooperation with Musk it would not be too far-fetched.  Cheesy

It might jump and surprise everyone though.
It certainly has a very cyclic and unusual graph for a cryptocurrency and many expect a new cycle to begin soon.  The latest Doge predictions were not very accurate though, the new cycle was supposed to begin months ago but it seems to be on a constant delay.

As for me I love to download files with crack license, sometimes I also think of the risk that my laptop might be compromise but when I tried one time and nothing happens to my files, I then continue to download more files/programs from different forums, what's important here is to always read the review and download only those files with good reviews.
Never put downloading/accessing files in a relationship of equality with file destruction/ransomware.  Downloading a cracked game or software does not necessarily mean your computer will go crazy.

You are accessing modified executable files that in most cases are not open-source.  Bots exist, just visit YouTube for a minute and check how many fake Bitcoin giveaways there are out there.  Does that make the giveaways legit?  If you have used YT often before, have you ever seen suspicious videos with a lot of positive comments but if you wanted to comment it wouldn't allow you?  You can call that fake positive reviews.

It could be a very sneaky virus that slowly downloads your data into a computer, but undetectable yet by an AV.  Next thing you know, a few months/years later you create a BTC wallet and your money vanishes like magic.  Thank those 'good reviews' you followed.
