1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO]🇨 Crypterium - Digital Cryptobank with Credit Token & Open Platform🇨 on: August 04, 2020, 07:35:44 AM
Cautionary 'TALES from the CRYPT'erium..

So I've dabbled in the past with thiscoin and thatcoin, traded some exchanges and even adopted btc payments for my business (much to everyone's consternation back then), but past illness and a loss of interest means that I stopped trading.

Then nobody was paying in crypto anymore anyway.

Mostly given up on it. Waste of time.

BUT, I still have pots of varying sized coins here and coins there, on different exchanges and wallets, all documented but no easy way of consolidating all of them into one place and actually spending them so that they can be practical and useful.

So someone says "Crypterium, its the future its a crypto bank, everything you need in one place".

So I looked at all the snazzy marketing, all the positive statements "send money anywhere", "instant", "low fees".

“We’ll help you pay for everything with Crypto”. I signed up and passed all the verification in like 3 minutes. This is great.

So COVID lockdown, put on some weight. Thinking I need to get a new bicycle and put some hours in to lose those extra pounds.

Got talking to a friend of a friend and it turns out he has a hybrid bike for sale that sounds great, in fact it's the one he's riding right now. We agree a price and whats more he's a crypto enthusiast, if you have coins we can do this now, turns out he's lost his job, needs the money.

I remember Crypterium, he gives me a QR code I fund my account and we witness the coin send. We walk the bike back to mine, he now know's where I live, he's happy I'm not a scammer, he saw the send to his address, I have a new bike!

Except the coin isn't sent, my transaction is locked, I need to send more ID to Crypterium: a bank statement screenshot and a debit card selfie with some kind of finger gymnastics to cover some of the details but not others (this bit is way more difficult than it sounds).

So why do they need even more id from me? They already have passport and utility bill etc? They suddenly ask for it when I try send the btc, not of course when I purchased it??

So got woken up this morning early. 'Bike-man' wants his bike back, he hasn't been paid. Thinks I'm some kind of scammer, he's not happy, I'm half asleep and now missing a bike AND a sum of money.

So Crypterium can't or won't, or is not capable of sending anything "instantly" crypto-wise. Based in Eastern Europe, they have all and more than they need of my personal ID and still want more.

"all my bitcoin are belong to them".

All the social media negativity is by "one crazed person who lost some coins"? I don't think so. There's now at least two, I'd hazard a guess at much more.

I'm apparently the scammer here :/

If it looks too good to be true, it probably is. They cannot do what they claim. Seemingly all marketing hype. Please don't fall for it.

I should have gone to the ATM, handed over the cash. Job done. The future was and still is cash, no multiple ID disclosure.  That works, Crypterium doesn't.

"Crypto financial freedom"?

It's a joke... there's WAAAAYYYY more control and disclosure here and at EVERY step of what should have been a very simple transaction.

As I said up there ^^ "Mostly given up on it. Waste of time."
