961  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What will be the new method of "Initial offering" this year? on: April 11, 2020, 09:08:27 PM
IEO is what a lot of people think will successfully replace the ico. Even though this is true, the result is still not different. A lot of people are not interested in investing in new project but rather invest in already existing coin and as we all are passing through the global pandemic, I see no hope for investment in new project this year
962  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How would a global recession affect cryptocurrencies? on: April 11, 2020, 03:11:43 PM
How would a global recession affect cryptocurrencies?

Those that bought into the BitCoin as a safe haven asset lie are going to get wiped out.

Hard Facts
I do not believe this your statement to be true. bitcoin price now and before the global COVID19 pandemic started is relatively not a wide gap. In fact, at the end of 2019, the price of bitcoin was around 6k and presently it is above this. people have been coming with different theories on how the pandemic has affected the price but very few are talking about what propels the current rise in BTC price
963  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Offline cryptocurrency transfer? on: April 11, 2020, 03:05:19 PM
It amazing to see people thinking very deep in a way to make crypto transfer easy. I only know of airwire blockchain that allow people to receive crypto via email, Facebook etc but hearing about receiving via SMS is another interesting story especially for some old folks that do not use the internet well. This will make it possible for people like that to recieve and send crypto
964  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Wrong BTC Adress, copied from Binance's Dashboard on: April 10, 2020, 08:21:51 PM
Try and scan your computer with malwarebyte. This thing has happened to me before in the past. I tried to purchase airtime using btc on bitrefill and I discovered that the address generated is different when I pasted it. Luckily for me, I have this attitude of double checking an address anytime I'm making transaction before completing it. Sorry for your lost
965  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why is everyone expecting continuous growth? on: April 07, 2020, 08:06:04 PM
That is because they want consistent profit and not going back to the drawing board. Also when bitcoin grow continuous, it give hope and bring about media attention that might makes more people to start investing in crypto. This is the reason why no one want the price to fall because when it happens, the result is bad
966  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is this A Misdirected Coin? on: April 07, 2020, 07:11:43 PM
This case it seems it will be very difficult to know how that excess coin got to your wallet but since you have pointed out that you made  comment about getting donation, maybe someone generously send the the bucks. Hopefully the exchange is not those clone exchange platform. You should have elaborate more by mentioning the name of the exchange
967  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The first BTC ATM in Nigeria on: April 07, 2020, 07:07:13 PM

well, it's a good news if, so. Atiku did mention legalization of virtual currency in Nigeria if, he's elected as the president Unfortunately, he lost the election.

The last time I heard government making public address about crypto was during the ponzi scheme popularly called MMM. I could remember the CBN was warning everyone that they should stay away from it because it is unregulated. I do not think the government will regulate it neither will they ban it
968  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The first BTC ATM in Nigeria on: April 07, 2020, 07:04:12 PM
How about the license and approval ? I thought those ATM are regulated by financial institution own by government. I will like to see how it works. Hopefully it get to the northern region soon.
969  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bot attack bounty thread on: April 07, 2020, 04:05:31 PM
Even my information is used to sign up for other campaigns, this is really crazy

This is unfortunate situation. I have also seen my name on some spreadsheet while I wasn't participating and some I was. In such, what I do is to alert the BM and he would sort that out by removing the fake name. This not thing is getting so high these days in bounties.
This has been a problem in bounty campaign for a long time now especially in telegram and article campaign. Apart from the not entry, people manually stole other peoples work and registered it just to have token. I have also discover that it is very common with projects managed by similar persons in which all this perpetuators have succeeded earlier
970  Economy / Economics / Re: CoronaVirus USA - Open by easter? on: April 07, 2020, 02:09:09 PM
I watched the news on CNN also. Alot of American are already starving and people have already lost their jobs and the US economy is gradually going down and I think the best way to restore the economy is to open businesses again. However, they will have to deal with the spread of the coronavirus and the economy together when the time comes because the spread of the virus can rise if  the business open.
971  Economy / Economics / Re: returning to normal on: April 07, 2020, 02:04:34 PM
I heard that most of pandemic disease that have happened in the past always have huge implication of the global economy and with what is currently on ground, I think the same thing will happen. Many companies will closed, People will lose their Job. There will be low standard of living and so on but it is better for everyone to prepare for the worst and above all, there will still be so many business that will still be functioning no matter how bad the pandemic is.
972  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Robert Kiyosaki believes in Bitcoin on: April 07, 2020, 01:59:36 PM
Many believe in the success of bitcoin, but bitcoin still can not realize its full potential
It is human that will make use of the crypto to realized its potential. Few months ago, nobody will think demand for common sanitary materials can go gaga to the extent that there is global shortage due to the crisis. The same thing can happen to crypto one day when people start depending so much in it to buy goods and services.
973  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin current situation on: April 07, 2020, 01:50:46 PM
Risk is always involve in a business and same when you wanna invest but the most important thing is to take a brave risk. It is not right to borrow money to invest in something that involve huge risk. What if you end up losing part of the money. What do you think will happen ? We all know crypto is affected by volatility and there will always be up and down but there are still some people that luckily make profit even at the extent of volatility.
974  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: The sincere bounty managers should escrow bounty rewards on: April 06, 2020, 09:27:55 PM
While this might reduce the issue of scam, I still do not think it stop the dev from depriving them the necessary things. Take for instance, many projects in which I have participated will give all hunters the token as allocated but they will lock it so that it can't be traded. Sometime they will create another smart contract thereby rendering token given to hunters useless
975  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Scammers don't trap victims with too good offers anymore on: April 06, 2020, 09:22:36 PM
This is very true. There are many ponzi schemes going on in Nigeria. But I have discovered many people that fall victims are new investors that want quick money. Average Nigerian is a chancer and they can go far just to get money to sustain life due to poor and shitty standard of living
976  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CoronaCoin More drama, third exit scam and discord deleted on: April 06, 2020, 09:19:00 PM
Anyone that get scammed shows they are not yielding to advice. There were many threads here created about this coronacoin and many people have warned investors not to take part in such project. I personally analyze one of the website that was poorly developed and I warn anyone not to take part.
977  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin has Seen a Major Boost Amid Dollar Crisis on: April 06, 2020, 08:52:08 PM
Are those packages being bought using bitcoin ? I have not seen any evidence if that is it but if not, I do not think it has influence on the price of bitcoin since it is fiat currencies that are being used for this transactions. I understand that at the moment, the price of the coin is increasing but I do not see correlation between the price and the stimulus package
978  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: John McAfee 2020 Prediction on: April 06, 2020, 08:47:50 PM
McAfee is no more sort after again amount people that promote crypto. He's a known clown and nobody takes him serious except newbie like you. He only try to work for what will bring money to his pocket. That a look of histories of the past project. MCafee is known to promote scam projects and he always wanna take side to gain popularity
979  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: AIR DROPS ! wasting time or not? on: April 05, 2020, 09:35:12 PM
If bounty is not paying well again, how do you expect airdrop to be profitable. When you participate in such airdrop, you will discover that the reward that you are given is not going to be enough to pay for transaction fee. The era of good paying airdrop like deeponion has passed. Both bounty and airdrop are theoretically dead
980  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: The bounty group is dead on: April 05, 2020, 09:32:22 PM
Many of those manager that own those group have gone elsewhere to find their daily bread. I participated in files.FM and up to date I have not gotten my reward even though I was told it has been distributed. If I message manager on the group, he doesn't respond and always comes into the group in awhile
