1861  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin SV? on: December 06, 2018, 05:26:25 PM
"Bitcoin SV"?
it's BCH SV and to be honest... These forks are going no where, Just another avenue for the lucky BCH holders to dump what they earned out of the forks and move on.
I agree. I think it’s called Bcash SV

BOOM!

Is the December figure an estimate or only for the first five days?

What a poor scam.  No onchain safety - sold with a nice Bitcoin label....
Hows your Bcash doing?
1863  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 06, 2018, 03:55:37 PM
Who sold all the bitcoins?

Smoking is disgusting. It makes you feel weak, smell like shit.

I only smoke when I am on vacation and I still feel bad later. While having fun I feel like smoking amplifies the fun. While at work, since ,i feel like shit, I never smoke. (Amplifies the rage too)  I gotta stop smoking in summer too.

Used to drink scotch, then I realized drinking heavy liquors is also a dumb idea. (Tires your liver, fucks up your stomach acid levels) Wine&Beer is the only ones I enjoy though they aren't good for stomach neither.

I'll limit myself to drinking only wine&beer probably and gonna delete the rest from my memory.
Yeah I have standards to. I refuse to do crack, heroine and don’t drink much . Everything else is pretty much fair game  Smiley

TLDR:
Not traded or withdrawn yet, but with a UK Bank a/c it looks like a damn fast way to get fiat in - you're loaded up in minutes.
DYOR
I have recently withdrawn strait to my uk bank account. It was about one hour to show in my uk account

Impressive.  Any other issues?
No issues. Just make sure if you buy from coinbase you use coinbase pro and not from the app(which is vastly more expensive)

Anyone used GDAX in London (GBP/BTC)?

You'll have to tell us how it goes if you do use them. I've also been thinking of hooking up now they supposedly have faster payments sorted out.

Well I sent a few quid in at 1.00am and it was there in minutes.

I had a coinbase account way back to try it out (it sucked) so I hadn't used it in years, but it did mean I didn't need to go through registration again to be on GDAX (or Coinbase Pro as it's called).

I have not bought yet (or tested withdrawls etc), I just wanted to be 'ready' and check it out.

Initial impressions - albeit it was past my bedtime:

Normal-looking exchange trading deck.
Spread was as little as a penny up to around £10, looks like pretty good liquidity.
Pairs of GBP and EUR with ETH / ETC / Bcash / LTC and a short list of some crypto pairs inc USDC / ZEC and er... BAT
You can see a USD exchange but not use it from a UK ip.
Didn't look into whether margin trading available.  API available.
GBP/USD price equivalence while I was there was a little over the actual price on Stamp - looked little under £15 more, make of that what you will.
Maker fees 0.0% taker 0.3% I haven't looked for into volume discounts, but it did seem to show a 30 day trade volume.
Withdrawal limit £10,000 /day - you can apply for higher.

Just a brief update: First round of beers have gone out. I've intentionally used low-fees. The mempool has risen since I started, this morning, and is in the process of clearing up. With any luck, you folks start seeing at least one confirmation soon.

I sent PoolMinor an extra two beers as thanks for compiling the list.

Apologies for the drama, but JJG made me legitimately see red.

That, and I'm a bit pissed at myself for not trying to resolve the "logistics" of the "beer boast post" sooner. Pure laziness on my part, really, and in retrospect, I have no excuse for not paying out.

In my defense, I recognize that I had difficulty reconciling the logistics of handling losing the call - "I can't really buy drinks for the entire thread. That is not practical. How do I resolve this in a fair way to the community ?"

It took me seeing red before I saw a reasonable solution.

Again, sincere apologies for trying to weasel my way out of it. It genuinely was not my intention, and I hope my resolution was considered fair.

EDIT: Just saw the entire first round of people get their first confirmation, so, cheers to you.
I Just had confirmation. Thanks for the beer. You really don’t owe anybody here anything
But thanks anyway . A true gent. I will keep this bitcoin as a momento (I may sell when bitcoin reaches $500,000)  Smiley

Why don't we celebrate in Amsterdam?

Very friendly city for all kinds of people.

Temprature

Temperature is quite good in summer. That's not an excuse imo.

Amsterdam in the summer sounds good to me.

I might even be able to find my favorites there... Shirak-i-mazar, Malana Cream and Nepalese Temple Balls.

I'm spoiled rotten.  Cool
Now your talking jimbo. Amsterdam in the summer it has to be

Correcting your misunderstandings about the world and reality in which you live is getting tiring.

SV is an altcoin. Bitcoin is the old bitcoin.

It doesn't matter how hard you want to believe anything else. When you're wrong, you're wrong.
Lol I think this thread has a lot in common with the “FLAT EARTHERS” thread

I BLAME BCASH TRASH for crashing all of Cryptoland.

BCash is a total fustercluck and they need to stop destroying the good name of other coins.

I watched the price of CW Coin rising earlier as bitcoin was dumping. They’re a fucking disgrace & should be ashamed of themselves.
All the above
