Ico landing page looks good , great update overall.
Nice to see a platform being build before the ico , with some marketing this can easily grow.

Yes it is the best way but only if you find the right project . Which is also the hardest part. But if you have the right project, yes it is the best way to invest because you get in early.

China is a big country, I think bitcoin will not die without China. But it will affect the bitcoin price if China bans total bitcoin.
True , altough i have hopes they will come back, they are just a part of the market that will be replaced. Btc wil go up with or without.

I deal with it like I deal with a win. It is all part of trading.
If you feel bad this isn't for you.

I mean you could sell some now seeing as how i could see this crash going to nearly as low as 2400 usd but yes, typically during a crash you never want to sell out.
This , when you don't sell you don't mode.

At least you can admit to and recognise some of the emotional play involved when entering Bitcoin as a newbie. Assuming you didn't just dump your entire life savings into that 1 BTC, you should just take a backseat and enjoy the ride. If Bitcoin's price history is anything to go by, it won't be long before $4,000 is the new safety net (yeah, sorry, it's at 3,800 now!). Even if it takes a year for it to recover to $4,600, that's a worst-case scenario and it's no real loss to you, seeing as that $5k is a possibility close (in the medium scale!) at hand.
I know I wish I were able to buy more often, and each dip like this current one makes me rue the fact I don't have cash on hand even more. Do stick around, stay active, contribute. Then when prices recover we can all get excited again.
This is the best advice , don't sell now for a loss just sit it out and see the stupid people panic sell. Price will go up eventually.

I love a few of exchanges. Bittrex - One of the most popular and trustable of exchanges. There are many different coins. Also, it has a really useful interface I think so. Liqui - There are many unique but popular coins. It's really great for buying fast and sell on other exchanges. Yobit - a popular place for Pumping and many seldom tokens.
Would add cryptopia to that.

This has been asked many times over the years but no one knows. Everytime it has been asked it would have been wise to invest because it has been going up over the course of years.

I don't understand how any one can ban ico? They just ban ico website? or what?
China ban their country from participating in any ico because they believe that it is not a good way to collect money from the people in their country and it is a bad news for the upcoming projects or even the current coins because the chinese might pull out their money in cryptocurrencies. Well country's like China can censor the internet so why not a simple ico.
|
|
|
No i don't think this is the end.
But it will change much , more country's will follow . I don't think it is a bad thing if you have seen all the scam ico's over the past year just there to grab as much money as possible.
Maybe we will see more airdrop coins or simply more money to the better projects.

Sending small amounts of bitcoin isn't viable anymore... For bigger transactions it is ok if you pay the fee... but sending 20 dollar in btc and paying 5 dollar fee is crazy
|
|
|
Nobody knows exactly , maybe people taking there profit...maybe some bad news.

Is there such a thing? If not, could we create one in a wiki style collaboration?

hi, i do have username and password just wasnt sure if i should show it, and ive closed and restarted the wallet then started cgminer but it comes up with the same response. this is exactly what i have. cgminer --scrypt -o http://127.0.0.1:33032 -u chicken -p *********** --worksize 256 --lookup-gap 2 --thread-concurrency 8192 -g 2 --intensity 12 -Q 0 rpcuser=chicken rpcpassword=*********** rpcallowip=127.0.0.1 rpcport=33032 port=33033 daemon=1 server=1 do i have to add anything to the mining section in the wallet. Don't show your password here, we were just making sure you didn't forget to actually specify it. You don't have to add anything to the mining section, your config looks good and should actually work now. But apparently on some systems if you define an allowed IP or IP range in the .conf file via rpcallowip= then it will not actually listen on an ipv4 socket but only on ipv6, and therefore not on 127.0.0.1, see: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=165336.0Try setting rpcallowip=* or even entirely omitting the rpcallowip= setting in the .conf file, but change your password before. Also double check if you are using the correct .conf file name and location (%appdata%\Ferretcoin\ferretcoin.conf on Windows and ~/.ferretcoin/ferretcoin.conf on Linux).

I thought I never mined them but I actually did in july And found a few new blocks too! Old blocks from july didn't even mature yet, so not many coins are mined Yeah Still a very good time to get in early!

can anyone help with gpu mining, i managed to mine with the wallet but am unable to start cgminer. this is my command line. cgminer --scrypt -o http://127.0.0.1:33032 -u -p .conf has been added, when i star the miner i get. POOL 0 SLOW/DOWN OR URL OR CREDENTIALS INVALID using cgminer 3.7.2. . any ideas what ive done wrong What frobley said. Also don't forget to close and relaunch your wallet after you made changes to the .conf file. Your wallet has to be running while you are mining with cgminer because cgminer basically connects to your wallet (via the local loopback address 127.0.0.1) using the same protocol as if the wallet was a "pool".
