184  Economy / Exchanges / Re: BTC-E.com exchange Bitcoin, Litecoin, Namecoin <-> USD\BTC (fee 0.2%) on: November 27, 2013, 11:36:49 PM
What about use OKPAY to fund btc-e? I think that 2% fee worth the money considering all the troubles you are talking about. Or there is also troubles funding with OKPAY?

I've used OKPAY 6 times to deposit and withdraw amounts over $1000 and I've experience no issues.
I use OKPAY as UK banks are rumoured to close accounts that interact with Bitcoin related exchanges so my transfers only come or go to OKPAY as I'm not prepared to risk my personal account being closed.
OKPAY also exchange your currency (not the cheapest but not the worst and currencyfair have also stopped dealing with Bitcoin related exchanges) I need to send £ to my account as the fees to exchange € $ on arrival are ridiculous!
The withdrawal from BTC-e to OKPAY usually takes about 3 hours and OKPAY tx to my UK bank is aprx 24 hours. My Bank also charge for the incoming cross border transfer! So with all the fees its not cheap, but still cheaper than the usual UK buying routes of Localbitcoins, Bitbargain and Bittyliciuos

I've experienced no issues whatsoever and will continue to use BTC-e and OKPAY all the time they are dealing with each other. OKPAY released a statement a few months saying they no longer dealt with Bitcoin related exchanges but so far that is not the case.

2 factor on BTC-e and OKPAY (Email style) is a must and i do not leave unwatched coins or cash in BTC-e or OKPAY, its an in / out operation.

Hope this helps.

Percentages are fine, no need for exact numbers
A popular UK exchange I also use has a follow the money option
So you can see what event is attracting the most ca$h.

Great Site  Grin

The blog section is address unknown (Or "Theres nothing here") and I did enjoy the stats / facts on there.

Any plans to bring it back? With more stats, esp what volume of bets your taking on what etc.
I'm doing my best to bolster the Soccer and NFL / NCAAF stats lol

If you are having issues accessing the site you can try uising https://bitbook.bz. We set up this address to help out in these types of temporary situations, but be aware that your browser may warn that the .bz address is suspicious because it is pointing to the normal .biz site.

190  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [EU/UK GROUP BUY] Blue Fury USB miner 2.2 - 2.7 GH/s on: November 12, 2013, 09:44:32 AM
I have a mixture of BES and Blu's running

I could only get them all working with one instance of Bfgminer (BLU's) and one instance of Cgminer (BES's)
I'm getting 59% HW errors on the Blu's?

Ubuntu 32bit 12.04 (On crappy old laptop, it won't run win7 or anything 64bit)
Cgminer 3.3.1 - Running all BES's fine (And has been for ages now)
Bfgminer 3.30 - Running 4 x Blu's 59% HW errors but hashing OK 2.27 - 2.48 GHs

Annoyingly being a Windows and Mac user i can only install onto Ubuntu via a PPA (typical GUI user, I know...)
Hence the 2 legacy versions of Cgminer and Bfgminer

Do I have to FLASH the BLU's, i've read theres a firmware update?
Is there a PPA that has later versions of Cgminer and or Bfgminer

Does anyone have a "TARD" guide to install cgminer / bfgminer from source code (This looks a strong learning curve....)so i can install the later versions
(Or should i just leave alone as they are hashing?)

Is 59% HW errors the norm?

I have 3 BLU's with RED leds and one with a yellow / orange led?

I've had 6-7 (maybe more) requests via PM today from people asking that I issue their compensation immediately, because they need it to buy something or want to cash out Huh. Some people have even requested that I send their funds to an address other than the "refund address" they originally specified when they ordered. (you'll have to send a signed message later)

There is very little chance in me the compensation now (today), I'm not at home now until this evening, nor do I think its a good idea to complicate things by issuing the compensation to just a handful of people, but I will begin bundling up a transaction to process them all in one go, shortly.

To keep everything open and transparent, I was thinking of posting a list of peoples refund address and username and then allowing 12-24 hours for people to message me if they see anything wrong before I send.

What do you all think? Any objections?

Wow this has come to life today

OC3
Do what u think is right, its your GB and you've looked after all of us very well (All your repeat customers will agree!) esp with your excellent service and regular comms. The most trustworthy GB-er on here IMO (Soniq a close 2nd)
If he hasn't sent all of them, there is nothing you can do, I think its reasonable of him (Beastly) to pay a bit of COMPO - BFL certainly wouldn't! Some of us need to remember you are the reseller and not the manufacturer. Pre orders for BTC kit is a risk for everyone involved.

Thats my 2p (2 uBTC)

Keep up the good work lol

No issues or dropouts for me in the past 24 hours, full hash speed and consistent and frequent payouts.
+1

please can you add more betting options for soccer. I've been suggesting this for months. Common things like BTTS, first goal scorer, player x to score next, etc.
BTTS Both teams to score - yes please +1

Morning

Compensation has been decided. We will be compensating everyone 0.05BTC because of the delays.

These delays have been out of our hands and they have caused us a lot of issues and grief. We are sorry for the issues caused.

better than nothing  Grin and a reasonable customer service gesture compared to some ASIC manufacturers

(sadly some extra inconvenience for OC3)

Cynical viewpoint - 5.8% compensation on BTC that has increased 60% in value since september....

Will there be a price reduction on these?
YXT dropped his to BTC1.475

If the match is V (versus) then the home team is 1st
A v B
If the match is @ (at) then the home is 2nd
B v A

Thats how most UK bookies work
In fairness over here USA sports (NFL / NBA) are normally @ and Soccer (Association Football) is V
