221  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: [BOUNTY][ICO] Genesis Vision Bounty campaign on: September 08, 2017, 04:57:28 PM
Dear friends!

Considering that the participants' flow aspires to grow bigger and bigger, we need more time to check all Twitter and Facebook participants. Stakes for the Twitter and Facebook campaign will be credited within a few days. We bring our apologies for a delay!

I am surprised at the reduction in the reward of translation if the thread is not active, because some sections in other languages are not as interactive as they are in English
I think this point should be reconsidered.

The reward for translation could be reduced to 50% of the actual payment only if you failed to keep the thread active. It is clear that other languages threads may have less activity, but the translator must keep the thread active by translation of official announcements, news, posts and so one.
223  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: [BOUNTY][ICO] Genesis Vision Bounty campaign on: September 08, 2017, 04:49:04 PM
Hi dev;
Here's the explanation in the Bounty thread:

From 250 to 999 real followers— 10 stakes
From 1000 to 9999 real followers — 20 stakes
10000 real followers and more — 50 stakes

But everybody got 25 stakes. The number of followers is not considered. Has the rule changed? Or will it be fixed?

You're right! Stakes for the Twitter and Facebook campaign were credited incorrectly. Currently, all charges were removed.
Thank you for a comment!

I see a good price on ICO, interestingly, if I do not misunderstand, you will distribute 36,960,000 to ICO, but the maximum ICO fund is $ 33 million, would you stop ICO if the maximum funds have been earned?

Hi. Let's see, 44,000,000 tokens will be created in total, of which 36,960,000 will be distributed to the ICO participants (33,000,000 tokens for sale and 3,960,000 tokens for bounty, marketing and advisers) 2,200,000 will be reserved for a fund and 4,840,000 will be circulated among the team. If the maximum cap will be earned, ICO will stopped.

Did not see the substantive content, that is, some pictures with the introduction, github did not find where? Feel like a joke, ask the author to make more statements

Hello! You can find link to GitHub at the beginning of the thread http://prntscr.com/ggvduv

Please specify what information is lacking in the current thread. Thank you in advance.
232  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are fees going so high? on: August 31, 2017, 01:53:44 PM
Difficulty is rising, number of transactions is rising, so it needs more for which you should pay.

Lightning is supposed to fix this, though it's not arriving anytime soon
233  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Shouldn't address have "domains" (easy entry for normies) on: August 31, 2017, 01:40:08 PM
Unfortunately, this can't be done in a decentralized way. Ethereum has ENS, but only because  it has smart contracts that made it possible.
234  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Thought experiment on: August 31, 2017, 11:43:09 AM
I was having a kind of thought experiment...

Let's say that you create a new crypto-currency. Before the creation of the first genesis block you create 25 billion wallets with each 1 coin in it. The purpose of this would be that anyone on earth, could claim his 1 coin at anytime.

My question:

How would you prevent that someone claims more than 1 wallet?

PS: I didn't incorporate more details because this is not necessary for the question at hand.

It would require something unique and universal, like a passport, drivers license or national ID card, it depends on which country the person lives.

Works the same way as KYC on any exchange, poker site, betting site, etc, and it would be quite expensive.

Exactly. It would be more practical to handout coins proportionally to some balance of cryptocurrency a user already has (like it happened with Bitcoin Cash on exchanges)
235  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and governments on: August 31, 2017, 09:42:25 AM
Hi btkers , discussion about the relationship between governments and cryptocurrencies.
Why don't governments officialise the use of cryptocurrencies .
Can these cryptocurrencies affect countries economy?
Bitcoins is decentralized there are no countries or corporations become regulator of bitcoins
basically bitcoins doesn't needs countries, even some countries or government ban usage of bitcoins.
Bitcoins will be alive because bitcoins has large of comunity on around the countries in the world,
many miners, investors, developer of bitcoins around the world.

The problem with Bitcoin is that it IS already regulated. Not to the extent of fiat, but the main regulation points (exchanges, payment processors) are already heavily regulated. Many governments require ID verification and phone tethering.
236  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: How to create trading bot? on: August 31, 2017, 09:27:44 AM
Each major platform (Bitfinex, OKCoin, Bittrex etc.) has API that issues you a token after you sign up. Pass that parameter to each request, then you can freely trade via API. However, if you plan to do an HFT arbitraging, be warned that it is too late - huge Bitcoin tx fees make it obsolete.
237  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin be replaced by another cryptocurrency? on: August 31, 2017, 09:18:56 AM
Bitcoin will most likely be replace by Ether. It is faster, cheaper (in terms of tx fees), and is about to get a huge scalability boost.
238  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Post your SegWit questions here - open discussion - big week for Bitcoin! on: August 31, 2017, 08:51:05 AM
What about the lighting network? When will it be avaible?

Poon and Buterin have already announced implementation of Lightning for Ether nicknamed Plasma, I doubt that it won't delay Lightning development for Bitcoin...
239  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Bitcoin transaction time on: August 31, 2017, 08:39:40 AM
The fees are mad, mycelium forced me to pay $3.4 to send $27, how is this viable? I noticed my transactions with blckchain.info were much lower. Is it a Mycelium thing?

If even after the increase of block size to 2MB and Segregated Witness introduction Bitcoin fees are exorbitant and tx times are so long, then we can safely say it is high time to switch to lighter algos, ltc and eth are good alternatives.
240  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Bitcoind is a mess, an alternative for Low level bitcoin programming? on: August 31, 2017, 08:31:21 AM
Bitcoinj is on Github, try it. It allows to download both full chain and light chain, has multiformat RPC.
