I'll check with someone I know on that side of the country to see if they have something for you. There's a good chance they will have something. If not I'm in the middle of the country and have a few of those PSU's around I believe.
Let me know if you decide to go that route.

The only check I've ever done on  PSU is to check voltage at the connectors. Apart from that I don't really know anyone who has bothered to open it up and look for what component malfunctioned.

Brilliant. Perhaps the forum should also stream every user's webcam feed and share their screen on user profile so that we would know exactly what everyone is doing at any time.
Stop trying to see my nipples. I mean I wear a shirt when I'm posting.

This reminds me of when texts and stuff first started telling people it had been read. It does nothing more than let you know your being ignored... or they are doing something else. the forum isn't "real-time" if someone doesn't neurotically click on the "Show new replies to your posts" link then it might be a while before you get an answer or hear back.

Sometimes I actually decide to think about a response before posting so it may be a day or two before I get back to someone. Other times I like to leave time for others to chime in on a thread rater than me and OP going back and forth for the first 8 replies. This seems like an unnecessary use of forum resources. Not to mention I would probably break it on one of my bored evening when I randomly just click around the forum looking for anything to read or look into.
286  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: ADVICE PLEASE -Which pool is best suited for miners not running 24/7? on: November 02, 2020, 10:56:25 PM
One that wasn't mentioned is Novablock you can check out there thread. I'm not positive but I think their fee was 2.5, but you can ask in their thread or through their support.

for what you are running and the timeframes involved, you won't notice a large difference between pools apart from their fee. I imagine they are all PPS+ in one form or another now, but if any state they are only PPS you miss out on an estimated Block reward percentage.

If it were me, I'd probably go with viabtc pplns since it has a 2% fee and their pool hashrate is large enough that variance is pretty low. Daily payouts may vary but by the time you get to a week or a month there isn't going to be much variance. Since fees are lower you'll end up making more profit in the long run.
Gotta disagree here. When a PPLNS pool is large enough, your contributed hashrate disappears quickly when seeking a reward with the machine off. This adds in a gamble aspect where you hope the lower fee, and variance good or bad puts you further ahead than a steady payment based on shares submitted.

So the choice between PPS+ here and PPLNS comes down to whether you want to gamble or not. I will say this if at a time the fees do go high it can be worth looking at a PPLNS pool that consistently hits blocks daily, as the miners reward can make it worth the risk over straight paid shares.
287  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is there any art marketplace for crypto? on: November 02, 2020, 10:43:21 PM
I can't speak to outside the forum. In the past few years some members have come here directly to sell pieces they've created. I suggest dropping onto the Collectibles  board. if you have some pieces you could post it as 4 sale or put it into an auction. The majority of users who frequent there are helpful, and will point you in the right direction.
Best of luck.

Can you post an image of what you are seeing on the miner status page? It could also be helpful for you to post the Logs from the Antminer, as someone might pick the problem out from there. Be sure to post this using the code button looks like this "#" when you make a post. What do you see pool side? Does the pool see the miner? and is it reporting any hashes pool side.

How many pools have you tried to connect to? If only one try another.

Iirc your miner should still show a hashrate on it's status page as it's still technically doing the work.

I just want to clarify is this "discarded" or "rejected" shares. I haven't looked at an Antminer in a while.

Here is an older thread detailing "discarded" shares - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3629509.0. This is why we need more info from you.

Its not going to looks good for whoever loses in this game . Lots of money and pride is on stake here. Someone probably going to lose up to 300k in this game and thats is definitely going to haunt them in their nightmare
I'm pretty certain someone is going to lose 300K just from the hands alone by the time it's done. Especially if it runs the full 25K hands. I don't think either would really bat an eye at that number, now the sidebets each have made is where they can really start piling on the losses. Doug for instance has a 2 Million bet on himself, to win 500K from Bill Perkins.

Bill has also given Daniel action on the same vein at something like a 10:1, I don't know to take Perkins at his word it's legit but it sounded as if it was a motivational bet. Who knows.

Just by his demeanor and actions I think if Doug loses it will be his pride that takes the hit, and I think that will bother him more than losing the cash. I think Dan will try and brush it off and go with what a lot of people called from the beginning "I wasn't expected to win" " This was just to put an end to it, and make it fun for the fans". Again it will be an ego pride thing, that he'll try and hide. The money again would just be a feather in the cap, as he's not hurting for cash.
I messaged Betnomi mentioning they should try and capitalize and offer odds. If they go for it I'll post. Apart from that, I did set up a pokershares account, I opted not to fund it yet because BTC was moving and I didn't really want to put any into Fiat  Cool
They probably wont have time to set it up and not to mention that the transaction fee is quite high recently, Im out of funds in Betnomi and I probably wont sent any btc to anywhere in couple days lol
Yeah I wish I had thought of it sooner, but figured if they really wanted to catch a few bets, similar to what they did with the US election, they could toss something together rather quickly.

is that all we get, 200 hands?
That's all that is going to be free, through Pokergo. I still don't really know what the final viewing options will be but I still think we will be able to see Dougs side of things via, via his or the upswing streaming channels. I think twitch but could be youtube. Luckily I have a day off on the 4th so I'll be trying to  figure out the what and the where.

Edit: Read somewhere that the 200 hands on Pokergo, will display hole cards for both players.

Everything solved, got my bitcoins back.
Thank you very much to all!

Internet is an amazing place Smiley
Glad you sorted it out. Now you have a much better understanding of your wallet and didn't have to pay the price of getting scammed. Don't forget it's worth looking into taking steps to protect your wallet by securing your network, or at least operating it on a separate machine from where you perform day to day browsing and what not.
293  Economy / Gambling / Re: LOL.. so little warning sending coins to Roobet - =) ur gonna love this on: October 30, 2020, 09:07:00 PM
Confused here.

So you sent them BTC, fee was to low I'm guessing so you decided to send some ETH so you would have a balance to play with? How long ago did you send the BTC, and have you taken any action to move the transaction forward if available.

Next why are you trying to withdraw? Did you play and win? It just seems like a very fast series of events. Biggest question did you reach out to support before deciding to come and blast them here, this is generally the action of someone being disingenuous.

I really don't see anything wrong with the automated system not allowing you to deposit and withdraw from your account regardless of the currency being used. It's unusual behavior and it makes sense to treat it that way.
294  Economy / Gambling / Re: Betnomi Poker series discussion thread on: October 30, 2020, 08:38:54 PM
I'm not trying to keep all newbies out or anything, this just looked like a very obvious case of multiaccounting. I'd also rather not see users make an account on this forum just to get a password then never be heard from again.

Tourney is supposed to be in the lobby in 26 hours. Once I see it, I'll start pmming users the password. I also considered releasing the password to the public about 30 minutes before the start. Thoughts?
No worries, I was more interested in mentioning sticking around for the series even if you decided not to provide them the password for the freeroll. You very clearly have more experience in routing out multiaccounting individuals, and am not questioning your judgment here.

I wouldn't post the password publicly, I think that's when we'd truly see some multiaccounting going on; especially if they know when it's going to drop.

In general, I tested the Betnomi platform, and, to put it mildly, I am disappointed ...

  • Only 15 seconds (which is actually quite good when there are no lags ... but I only saw terrible response / sync).
  • After about 30 minutes, my maps stopped showing (I tried to restart the online version, but the situation did not change).
  • I thought the desktop version would solve this problem ... But this did not happen (I rebooted the laptop and restarted the router).
Crazy, I had some minor connection issues, when first launching the client. Had one disconnect which logged me back in right away. Would be a shame to lose you before it starts but I get not wanting to play on software that doesn't work for you. Could be new platform issues they are working on, hard to say.

My first tournament it did crash when I was trying to flag users and write notes but nothing similar since then. Still haven't been able to put much volume in there so I've been holding off on my review I've been putting together.
295  Economy / Gambling / Re: Betnomi Poker series discussion thread on: October 30, 2020, 10:06:54 AM
I'm interested to join on this tourney.

Betnomi username: TGD1000

I can play anytime since I can adjust due to pandemic, I have a lots of free time cheers. I hope that the organizer will give us notification about the exact time and date, direct link to the poker room and clear rules and regulation 1 day ahead of the scheduled date for the preparation and to free some of my schedule activities.
There are 2 things going on here. First is this freeroll

I am filling out a request for a freeroll to be setup sunday 6pm UTC. I'll give you all more details once the request is granted.

I have sent in the request. 250$ freeroll Sunday 6UTC. The tourney will require a password which I made and players will start with 20000 chips 10 minute blinds, no late registration.

Make accounts and post your betnomi name here please. Use my affiliate link if you don't already have an account. Just pm me to get it. Once you get the password don't share it with your friends. If they wanna play they can make an account and post their name in this thread.

Only players who posted names in this thread will get the PW.

Apart from that we run a forum series which will be hosted on Betnomi, we are currently talking about some of the details in what we want to see changed or left alone from past the previous series we have ran.  Either way good to see some new faces popping in, hope you stick around for the series.
296  Economy / Gambling / Re: Betnomi Poker series discussion thread on: October 30, 2020, 09:57:32 AM
I seen this as well. I will be very selective about allowing any newbies in to deter cheaters.
I would imagine this is something Betnomi can look into more deeply anytime we have concerns. Should be pretty straightforward considering it's part of their day-to-day to try and catch multi-accounting across their entire platform. Not really beneficial for the freeroll but in general over th ecourse of the series.

It does suck having to try and police newbie entries for the freeroll, while at the same time trying to bring people in.

Really? i have better things to do then creat a doble account  Angry
People have done more for less. Yahoo is just being cautious to protect the integrity of the game. I don't know how this plays out, but stick around a while and get a feel for what we've been doing these last few months. If people remain civil things generally work themselves out. Maybe it is a coincidence maybe not, but in the long run Betnomi will be able to help clear up possible multi accounting issues.
297  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: It's F'n happening ----- Polk VS. Negreanu HUNL Grudge Match on: October 30, 2020, 06:36:19 AM
^  Joey Ingram will prolly stream it straight from his YT channel.
Anyway...  Old school live pros are backing Dnegs.  I heard Helmuth is looking for action for 20k for something like 5 to 1.  Matusow is betting 10k.
I'd be down for watching some joey over excitement commentary while watching. It's nice to know there will be some options, I'm sure Kane will give a good explanation style commentary on certain spots.

I've been trying to find some more opinion pieces. So far I've mostly just seen guys liking the odds. Here is a Hellmuth tweet which I believe Doug took up on the offer
"I think @DougPolkVids is an amazing heads up player! Especially in no limit holdem, esp online, esp over 25,000 hands. But, I’m hearing Doug is 4-to-1 favorite over @RealKidPoker. This seems high, and I’ll bet on Daniel at 4-to-1. Reach out to me if your credible"

Matusow, I don't know what to say here is his announcement of betting half his bankroll, not to mention a 5K bet on trump winning the election - that was back in March to be fair. - my favorite is Dan's tweet back "Yikes" Michael Scott "Office" Gif

I think it was Dougs twitter where he put it best.  "The bottom line is, you arent really betting on me/my ability. I will be a very good hunl player, not world class anymore, but very solid.

You are betting on how good you think Dnegs can be at an extremely challenging and complicated game."

So what will actually happen if by any chance one of them lose horribly , like losing alot of money? It doesnt mean either of them are better than the other, its just some heads up game with some ego and lot of hype in it. Im new in these poker scene like this so Im pretty much clueless
Someone walks away with a pile of money, and the other hopes they don't rub their nose in it. Nothing else apart from that, there will likely be some videos or comments made, but I expect the end t obe fairly civil surprisingly.
5 for Dneg? Dang people must be taking Dneg lightly
Just not his game, the tweet I quoted by Doug sums it up nicely.

punters on pokershares have been consistently pricing him above 5, usually closer to 6. https://www.pokershares.com/market/poker/c0baedd8-236b-4bd5-884d-ee1926743070
i dunno any other site offering odds, and they don't allow us muricans on pokershares. Sad
i still want 5 to 1 on DN myself, if someone will take the other side of the bet....
I messaged Betnomi mentioning they should try and capitalize and offer odds. If they go for it I'll post. Apart from that, I did set up a pokershares account, I opted not to fund it yet because BTC was moving and I didn't really want to put any into Fiat  Cool

I'm off for the next couple days, maybe we find some options.

Side note just announce is the first 200 hands will be live and will streamed on Pokergo free.

Bitcoin price is up and so are the risky threads.

Forum trusted escrow is always advised for trades made on the forum. It's risky to take discussions off forum to telegram or other platforms.

OP considering you can make payment in "almost anyway" there should be options like BTM's (Bitcoin ATM) Exchanges which are now accepting CC and Debit cards.
299  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Got robbed and I can't understand how on: October 29, 2020, 09:16:51 AM
Wow are you lucky... that you were being cheap. No worries I do the same, but thanks to your low fee this transaction is still sitting unconfirmed. Follow the advice you've been given and you should be fine in re-rerouting this transaction.

I'm curious when you confirm the address, is it after you paste?? I always paste then check the last 6 or 7 characters and the first 6 or 7. I don't envy you but you have to put some work in and assume all your devices could be compromised. Dig out your seed phrases and start fresh on a new device, luckily this wasn't a massive amount and you have a chance to recover, learn, and move on.
300  Economy / Gambling / Re: Betnomi Poker series discussion thread on: October 29, 2020, 08:59:49 AM
I think I will check this site out as reviews seem to be good. The site looks a new introduction and the poker games too. Is it only the one game in the series to view in the site.
I might be missing something in translation.

Right now for a "Forum" tournament there is the one freeroll  mentioned below, not sure if it's live yet but will be soon.
I am filling out a request for a freeroll to be setup sunday 6pm UTC. I'll give you all more details once the request is granted.
I have sent in the request. 250$ freeroll Sunday 6UTC. ~snip~
Make accounts and post your betnomi name here please. ~snip~
Only players who posted names in this thread will get the PW.

Apart from that they have a full line-up of tournaments running daily. Currently Yahoo62278 is also working on organizing an ongoing forum series for us. If you keep checking back here you will see updates, currently it's in the planning stages as details get suggested and hammered out.
