It is possible that the holiday season caused the sideways movement of BTC's price. This happened before Thanksgiving as well in November. Probably, most of those who took profit are currently enjoying their grand vacation. I personally think that these dips are golden opportunity to buy BTC at a lower price and I hope to see another rise once they got back in the game post-holiday season.

It's kinda amusing to see so much forks happening during the developmental stage of BTC. Even if there are 500 or more forks to fall from the sky, Bitcoin will still be the trademark of cryptocurrency itself. These forks will just make bitcoin even more popular. Wait for the lightning network to be implemented in bitcoin core, that will be the time for its takeoff to the moon.

In my opinion, it seems very unlikely to happen because there are many investors waiting for the price to drop, for them to buy at a discounted price of bitcoin, therefore, sideways movement of the price is likely to happen until the end of this holiday season or lightning network has been implemented.

For me, I would do both. I'll save for now and accumulate as much as I can then I'll spend my bitcoin to invest in mining rigs and security of my wallets. My goal is to have a passive income with bitcoin and alts because I believe that cryptocurrency has a bright future because of its technology.

Surely, there's no way to predict BTC price but this is somewhat expected to happen, volatile markets tend to go up and down drastically. They may have heard about bitcoin but doesn't know its true purpose, value and potential in the future. They are thinking of it now as invisible money because they haven't tried it yet or doesn't have any idea how to trade bitcoin. If you can see, it's still on its early stages of development compared to stocks and other investment vehicles but it has proven its value this year and I hope, will continue to do so.

Year 2017 has been revolutionary for bitcoin and cryptocurrency itself, it's on the adoption stage of the masses before going mainstream. It's definitely going to be a bright year 2018 but there will be more negative news as well and more attempts to destroy the crypto world, but acceptance will be across the globe despite its flaws. So, I suggest you to study the chart movement, set your goal, diversify and never let your emotions affect your strategy.

There have been many times they tried to kill bitcoin but what happened is that; all the dramas and issues only made bitcoin stronger than ever. I believe that mining will be more prominent due to more investors are being attracted by bitcoin. I think Bitcoin became a brand of cryptocurrency itself.

I believe that it's possible but mass adoption must happen first. I hope that the amazing technology behind bitcoin be developed soon for the next generation so that it may reach its full potential. It all depends on one's perception. There are those who will donate some of their profit to charity and there are those who will spend it on luxury or it could be both. Greed is taking over right now for those who bought BTC without the knowledge of its true purpose but I hope that someday they learn from their mistakes and use what they have learned to make profit as well. Surely, those who have invested early and made profits today have their own stories and mistakes to tell.

Relax for now and try to grab this opportunity to accumulate more. Most investors who took profit could just be taking their holiday vacation and enjoying this season. Once they go back in the game, it could breach the $20k price level. Since it went down, it's like being manipulated by certain big whales out there, probably one of them is Goldman Sachs.

A goal needs to be SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, Timely). Personally, I am in the process of accumulating bitcoin as much as possible right now using cost averaging method. I would be cashing out by year 2022 at a profit of 100% or more. I allocate 20% of my salary in buying bitcoin and once I have enough profit between this year and 2022, I would definitely invest on mining rigs to mine both bitcoin and alts.

Combine the FUDs with profit taking of most people for their expenses this coming holiday and panic selling of those who have weak hands - a drop like this is somewhat expected, and in my opinion, it is a healthy correction and a badly needed one. Bitcoin and its technology is always here to stay and have already proven itself as the most remarkable innovation of today's generation.
