1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / What hardware to invest around 200k to? on: September 20, 2020, 05:47:01 PM
Hey fellow miners.

I have decided to invest around 200k to build a mining farm (I have really cheap electricity). I am having a hard time finding good and in-stock equipment these days. Especially GPUs and motherboards. What are your preferred mining GPUs for late 2020? I was thinking 580 or 570 8GBs, but I could not get any seller with that amount of stock.

What would your recommendation be? Are there any other new mining specific GPUs out there, something similar to p104-100 for example.

Hello fellow miners!

I have found out this website https://www.wheretomine.com/. I thought about sharing it with you. What do you think about it? I like the fact that someone actually started that project and that it can help you to choose the best mining software.

I would be concerned about the delivery of the equipment, the condition of the equipment and the method of payment.

What payment methods do you accept? What solution do you offer for "door-to-door" delivery?

I wouldn't want to do these errands because if you buy online the seller is responsible for delivering the purchased.

I can arrange a delivery. I can also deliver it personally, where you can take a look at the condition of the hardware. I will also send pictures of the hardware if you are interested.
I accept cash, transaction, paypal or cryptocurrencies.

How much shipping to Bremen, Germany?

Depends on the quantity. If you were to buy all, we could arrange a transport.

You can check DHL prices for shipping here: https://www.dhl.de/en/privatkunden/pakete-versenden/weltweit-versenden/preise-international.html

How many Kilo is one rig and what size package will it be?

Thanks

I would say around 8 to 10 kgs per rig. Thats just an assumption.

7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Selling Large amount of Zotac P104-100(8GB) on: November 12, 2019, 06:01:42 PM
My partner and I have recently closed or mining farm due to not being profitable anymore. Long story short - electricity price rised for around 30% - 40% in Slovenia in the past 2 years, we have had an old contract for two years which had eletricity price at 0.07€/kWh.

We are looking for a buyer who is interested in 75 rigs(6 slot and 12 slot motherboards).
We have been mining Raven and Ethereum most of the time.

Each rig is made from:
- 6x or 12x Zotac P104-100 flashed to 8 GB
- GA D3A motherboard
- 4GB ram
- Intel celeron G3900
- 6x or 12x USB riser
- 1600w 1st Player PSU
- 16GB SanDisk USB

We also add a lot of spare hardware like:
- 50x USB risers
- 10x 1600w PSU
- Electricity extensions
- LAN cables
- Bounch of 180cm x 90cm x 40cm racks that were used for rigs
- Smart swithces and normal switches

Price for one rig (6x GPU) is 1300€, if you buy all, we can go down to 1200€. That is the final price, which is fair for both parties.

If you have any questions leave a comment below or send me a PM.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / All the back USB ports dead on motherboard on: June 28, 2019, 07:26:18 AM
I am facing a weird issue where all my back USB ports are dead. There has been a power loss and after that, the USB ports are not working anymore. The DVI output is working.

What have I tried:
- Reset BIOS -> did not help
- I used different ports -> did not help
- I tried with keyboard and USB -> still not working
- I luckily have a spare PSU to try with -> did not help

I am waiting for PS/2-USB adapter so I will be hopefully able to use my PC.

Anyone had a similar issue before?
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: AMD Mem Tweak - Read/modify mem timings on the fly - [Vega Friendly] [Win/Linux] on: May 16, 2019, 11:44:48 AM
I own Sapphire RX vega 56(hynix) and I am trying to tweak it without success.

I BIOS flashed it to Sapphire.RXVega64.8192.180125_1. Did I use the correct BIOS mod? I read somewhere that _1 at the end of the name means that this is NOT a power saver bios.

Then I was looking for the best MEM and CORE first. But I saw that people use 1080 Mem and more. I get errors with 1020 and above(dots on the screen) and I have to restart the PC.
I was able to get 40MH/s on ethereum with the following settings:
Core
P7: 1530/1000
Memory
P3: 1000/950
Timing level 3

So my questions are:
- What timings should be lowered/raised in order to get better speeds?
- Did I use the correct BIOS to flash the card?
- what Core and Memory should I be using?
- what does the Timing level mean exactly?
- is there any difference between AMDtweaktool and BIOS editor except that AMDtweaktook does not require a restart/loading BIOS everytime?

Maybe on the side note-is it better to do the timings in BIOS editor or in AMDtweaktool for RX570 4gb?

I own mostly Nvidia an RX 5704gb so this is all new for me.
Any help much appreciated!

10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Antminer Z9 support on Nicehash? on: April 29, 2019, 04:35:44 PM
Hey guys,

apparently, Bitmain released a new firmware that makes Antminer Z9 work with Nicehash. I was just considering buying one and would like to know if it actually works.

Can someone confirm that Z9 works normally on NH now?
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Raven mining profitability formula on: April 07, 2019, 10:11:37 AM
Hey guys, does anyone know how to calculate raven mining profitability based on block time, block reward, difficulty, and hashrate without whattomine or any other calculators?

I tried this one that I found online, but apparently, it does not match. (block reward * 24.0 * 3600.0 /(difficulty * 232 / hashrate))*exchange rate

Any help will be much appreciated.

13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CPU benchmarks on: April 05, 2019, 01:30:39 PM
There is some website that will give you a list of CPU with hash rate nicehash is not accurate but it can give you an estimation.
Check this website to find other model and hashrate result https://monerobenchmarks.info/

I know about this webpage. But like I said, there are no hashrates for CryptonightR.
For what purposes you need it? For mining it is really low. If you want to catch some profit - you can try wallet mining with new shitcoins without pools

I was going to build myself a new PC and I am not sure what CPU to buy. I have limited budget and have to think about what CPU I will buy. Then I googled how much can I earn with a CPU, and I did not find any information regarding hashrates of CPUs

Hey fellow miners!

I was googling CPU hashrates and I could not find any hashrates for CryptonightR. So it came to my mind that we could post our hashrates on this thread and eventually we should have a decent CPU hashrate database for future reference.

I will start with my AMD Ryzen 3 1300X, I also included CNHeavy and CryptonightV8 since I used Nicehash for benchmarking.

CryptonightHeavy: 20.6 H/s
Cryptonightv8: 55 H/s
CryptonightR: 56 H/s

17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / 3x RX 570 and 2x RX 480 wont work together on: January 24, 2018, 04:56:17 PM
Hello guys,

I have a problem running 3x RX 570 and 2x RX 480 together, when I run sgminer via Nicehash it crashes my rig. If i run only 1x 480 and 3x 570 it works normally.

i have tried running each card by itself and it works normally. I have 1000W Chieftec Navitas PSU. I have tried changing raisers with new ones and reinstall of drivers and all the basic stuff.

I have been running this kind of setup for few weeks and it has been working normally.

Did anyone had any similar problem?

Thank you for your time!
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / GTX 1060 drops from 280sol/s to 0 sol/s in 5 minutes after start, help please. on: December 29, 2017, 08:12:52 AM
Hey, I have had problems with my rig for weeks now. I have asrock btc r2.0 mobo with 3x 1060 3gb and 3x p106-100 mining edition gpu.

First problem is that windows recognizes all gpu's, but when I run nicehash with, for example, EWBF miner it says "thread exited with code 30", then I restart nicehash and EWBF works fine with 5 gpu.
After few seconds one of the gpu's Sol/s starts to drop and stops at 0, others work fine all the time(except the 6th gpu, which I am still figuring why wont work even though it is recognized in device manager.

I have tried getting new raisers, reinstalling drivers with DDU...

Any help would be appreciated!

20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Mining rig keeps restarting. I can't save settings in .bat file on: December 25, 2017, 11:28:56 PM
Hey,

I have been mining with my rig for quite some time without a problem. I am using 6 Sapphire rx 570 4gb, Asrock H81 pro btc mobo and 2x 700w psu.
Now when I start mining my rig keeps restarting, I am mining with claymore on dwarfpool and now on nicehash via claymoreminer. I have tried mining with Nicehash.

I figured out that when I change settigns in bat file in claymore miner and then start mining, computer restarts and when it turns back on the settings in bat file are same as before. I have tried saving bat file and do the manual restart. It still didn't save settings.

Anyone with similar problems?
