1  Economy / Exchanges / How does Coinbase functionize? on: October 03, 2017, 02:35:11 PM
Hello, friends!

I am searching on the Internet how exactly Coinbase works but every article about this actually exposes the advantages or the disadvantages og the exchange but neither the way it works.

The reason I am asking this question is simple. As a member of the crypto community, I have just asked myself what will happen if many people buy bitcoins for $4000 from an exchange and then try to sell them on $5000. How does the exchange protect itself from loses?

Can you help me to complete my research? I suggest that few people know that. Otherwise, anybody will have a clear idea how to create a cryptocurrency exchange.

2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / What is the best for the small ICO? on: September 02, 2017, 11:14:00 AM
Hello!

I am wondering what is the best way for an ICO with a small target to be fundraised. Is it the traditional crowdfunding or establishing a connection with investment funds like ICONOMI and Taas?

Do you know other tactics for fundraising due to ICO?

Do you know other crypto investment fund?

Hello!

Do you know some crypto investment fund where you can apply with your ICO for funding?

Do funds like these exist?
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Why do some ICOs have restrictions for US citizens? on: September 01, 2017, 08:42:59 PM
Hello!

I have noticed that in some ICO have restrictions for US citizens. Monetha is one of these.

Do you know what is the reason?

Is it some legal issues? And if it is, do you know which they are?

Now is very popular PRE-ICO. So you can see results before ICO.

So I prefer invest in successfull ICO by learning PRE-ICO or first days of ICO.
This is the main trend as of now on which there are already ICO who have this Pre-ICO on which it somehow boost up the interest on some investors when they do see that it goes well. Answering on ops question theres no list about those projects that do make a refund of money back when they didn't reach target but I'm sure there are projects who did such thing.

Yes, I also can't find a list with ICOs that make a refund.
Here is an announcement of an ICO of this kind. It is written in the white paper but it is not stressed about the refund in the website. And that is why I thought that almost every ICO offers a refund.

I have noticed that almost every ICO doesn't mention what will happen if they do not reach the funding target (if they have a target).

In my opinion, investors could have an additional incentive to invest if it is clear that they will receive their money back if the ICO campaign is not successful. It is almost a riskless investment.

What is your opinion about:
1. ICO that has a certain target and if it doesn't hit it, the project will be announced for a fail
2. How the money back guarantee if the target is not reached affects the investors?
3. Is it a tendency for the ICOs to have no money back guarantee?
4. Will you be more likely to invest in an ICO that offers money back?
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What you are thinking about this GAP token? on: August 23, 2017, 03:46:48 PM
4 days already running token sale and raised 1 eth, I think this project is less desirable. Maybe this project marketing and its ads do not exist. Is there an ann thread already in this forum?
I think this project is pretty good, the total supply is small and the price of good ico 1 gap = 0.01 eth

Yes, I also find it pretty good the price of the tokens and moreover they have a clear vision how to use the money. For a project like this, they could announce a larger cap but they don't and I like this.

I noticed that many people start to invest and trade in the crypto currency market and in other financial markets without enough knowledge, just because they know about the potential of this markets but don't know how to use it. It is a fact that many young people all around the globe want to be investors and are inspired by people like Warren Buffet. The investor's mindset becomes more and more popular due to the social medias. That is the reason why many people start investing with no preparation and then lose all their money. But everything could be different if these people first invest in themselves and receive the proper education about how to be effective trading in the markets.

I noticed a project which purpose is to create a worldwide online Academy for trading, finance and programming smart contracts.
https://globalacademyplace.com/ico/
It seems a great idea to exist such an academy that combine finance and technology. Also the academy allows their students to have a professional career after graduating.

The online school has a token and business model which guarantees that the price of their token will go up. I think that is an innovative business model that can be implemented in almost every business. To put the profit behind the token sounds so simple but and effective.

I like their business conception and think to buy some tokens but before that, I would like to hear and other opinions.

What do you think about that academy? Have you ever heard about a business model like this?
