201  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014-6-18] HSBC Considering the Benefits of BTC on: June 19, 2014, 02:14:07 AM
May be true:
A Hong Kong-based research firm has warned investors that HSBC has overstated its assets by £50bn and will therefore need to inject £70bn worth of capital by 2020.

202  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: [GUIDE] Innosilicon [A1 Booster + A2 Terminator] Support/Tuning on: June 13, 2014, 08:39:05 AM
I picked up a Terminator for the electric savings alone. Competition's about to heat up amongst the manufacturers, so it'll be an interesting year.

204  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin integration for online store on: June 13, 2014, 08:27:55 AM

How to encourage online store to put Bitcoin integration links in their description. Don't just wait for google to implement a feature not many will use.
205  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Cheap, scalable mining rack - Build overview + files for 3d printing on: June 13, 2014, 08:24:21 AM
I'm surprised that there hasn't been a commercial giant in this market yet. Thus far, there has been no mass-produced 3D printer and the market is wide open.
206  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Has anyone tried to purchase WMX(BTC) on WebMoney? on: June 13, 2014, 08:21:43 AM
This isn't how it works: Usually store accepts a specific currency, e.g. it might accept WMR (Russian ruble) or WMZ (USD); and if you have a different currency you need to use an exchange.
207  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Antminer U2 on Mac Help !!!!!!!!!! on: June 13, 2014, 08:19:24 AM
My AntMiner U2 still will not work either. I try to use "M" + "+" and then typing either amu:all, all, or auto, it still does not detect my device.
208  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is an IPO Alt-Coin? on: June 13, 2014, 08:15:41 AM
I bought IPO Alt-Coin about a month ago and have already made over 120% counting dividends and current stock price. IPO Alt-Coin is a damn goldmine, and an amazing dividend paying hedge.
209  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: neutrinocoin on: June 13, 2014, 08:13:19 AM
Only found a multipool: https://www.multipool.us/stats.php?curr=ntr

Haven't seen an announcement thread for this coin on Bitcointalk, which is kind of strange.

Apparently this coin uses the Tor network for anonimity (http://www.neutrinocoin.org/assets/neutrino_whitepaper.pdf).
I don't see daily profit stats, hope its coming soon. Very soon.
210  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: rpietila Altcoin Observer on: June 13, 2014, 08:10:08 AM

I would still feel that we need more than one cryptocurrency and about as interested in altforums as I am in altcoins, I suppose.
211  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014-06-12] PayPal’s Bizarre Bitcoin survey on: June 13, 2014, 08:07:46 AM
2 in 5 people owning bitcoin regularly use bitcoin to pay for goods and services. More people have read the satoshi whitepaper or own altcoins than use bitcoin regularly as a currency.
212  Bitcoin / Press / [2014-06-13] The Free State Project: A Libertarian Testing Ground For Bitcoin, on: June 13, 2014, 07:59:25 AM
http://www.forbes.com/sites/kashmirhill/2014/06/12/the-free-state-project-a-libertarian-testing-ground-for-bitcoin-3d-printers-and-drones/

Long before billionaire venture capitalist Peter Thiel dreamed up the idea of a floating libertarian island nation, a 24-year-old Yale grad student named Jason Sorens proposed a far more down-to-earth experiment for those who wanted to live the limited government lifestyle: that a critical mass of “freedom-loving people… establish residence in a small state and take over the state government.” The “Free State Project” call to action was in 2001. By 2003, five thousand people agreed to take part and they held a vote to decide which low-population state would be the staging ground for the libertarianvasion, which would be triggered when 20,000 people signed on. New Hampshire (population: 1.3 million) won — narrowly beating out Wyoming (population: 576,000) — and early movers began trickling in to help the state fully realize its “Live Free or Die” motto.
213  Bitcoin / Press / [2014-06-13] Bitcoin Prices Plunge As US Government Prepares To Auction Off Huge on: June 13, 2014, 07:53:51 AM
http://www.businessinsider.sg/bitcoin-prices-tank-2014-6/#.U5qvNHaBlAY

The agency said it was auctioning off more than 29,000 Bitcoins, worth nearly $18 million at Thursday prices. The amount remains a fraction of the 144,341 bitcoins now in the government’s possession from the Silk Road case.
214  Bitcoin / Press / [2014-06-13] Silk Road Bitcoin On The Move For Government Auction Of $18 Million on: June 13, 2014, 07:16:49 AM
http://www.forbes.com/sites/kashmirhill/2014/06/12/silk-road-bitcoin-on-the-move-as-government-prepares-to-auction-off-18-million-worth/

The Bitcoin is a public ledger, and if your identity gets linked to a wallet or address, everyone can see when you move coins. That’s what happened to the feds Thursday. The federally-seized Bitcoin was moved out of the two addresses — here and here — where it had been stored, a huge transfer of funds that was noted by those watching Bitcoin activity such as market data app Zeroblock. The Bitcoin addresses had been notated on Blockchain.info as “Silk Road Seized Coin” and “DPR Seized Coins” (for Dread Pirate Roberts, the pseudonym assumed by Silk Road’s overlord).
The Federal Marshals are auctioning off seized digital money for the real stuff

215  Bitcoin / Press / [2014-06-13] Bitcoin in Argentina - If it can’t make it there on: June 13, 2014, 06:08:29 AM
http://www.economist.com/blogs/schumpeter/2014/06/bitcoin-argentina

ARGENTINA and Bitcoin would appear to be a match made in heaven. On the one side stands a country which since the second world war has suffered numerous bouts of inflation, and even hyperinflation--rising to as high as 20,000% in the late 1980s (see our recent briefing on the country). Things are better these days, but inflation is still expected to hit 38% by the end of the year.

You can deposit instant but cannot withdraw for any reason be coins or fiat. I tried to withdraw fiat and after 2 days the request was cancelled with reason: invalid payment details.

220  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2013-06-03 Cambridge House interviews Mike Maloney - Why Bitcoin Is Wonderful on: June 05, 2014, 04:50:52 AM
It is important to take all information with a bit of skepticism. I do understand that. Still I think its a great video.
