442  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What cryptocurriencies do we really need? on: October 07, 2017, 05:37:48 AM
Blockchain is changing the meaning of 'currency'. This is the ability for you to create your own currency that will meet your business needs just perfectly. It can be simplified to the following example.

Imagine your parents own a farm. Ordinary farm with cows and plants, no Ethereum mining. The farm provides milk and vegetables to several shops in a nearest city. Shops sell it to the citizens. Bank helps them all to keep money safe: parents, shop owners, and citizens almost don't care about their bank accounts, they just work to know they have money. Everyone glad to be assured that nobody can steal money or don't pay a debt. Bank fixes and invest money to provide its services and generate own revenue. Bank provides government with all the data about payments to allow it charge taxes properly. Banking service is a pretty hard job and it costs money. Now imagine a different picture.

Your parents create own currency their bank doesn't support. But that's okay since the new currency doesn't need to be supported as the previous kind of currency. It fixes and keep all the transactions safe automatically. Government could have an access to it just like by the link from your parents. Your parents currency is not better than Bitcoin, it could be even a bit worse. But if all the business needs of your parents and those several shops satisfied, the business could work.

Automated systems have lower costs. So your parents can cut prices or just earn more money for you and your little sister.

In short, new cryptocurrencies make financial ecosystem better for people's daily life.

How much money you're going to raise?

14500 BTC

That's big amount. When do you suppose to release MVP and what it will be look like?

We plan to publish the first version of Crypterium mobile app in summer 2018. It will allow clients to make contactless payments through a smartphone.

I guess MVP requires not more than $5M. Let's say $10M. Why do you need $50M+?

Your estimations of development costs are correct. Are you developer?

There are so many obstacles to overcome. Amount 14500BTC doesn't seem big from that perspective. More details we'll disclose in WhitePaper coming soon. Join our Telegram chat to get notified when we publish it https://t.me/crypterium

Is there an actual usage of your tokens? I mean, the project is cool itself, but why do you need tokens?

Tokenisation with blockchain technology creates the following benefits for economy:
- all the data about transactions are decentralized and stored securely for all parts of the ecosystem. It reduces abilities of intervention from each part, including a token developers
- in case of Crypterium, token is used as a ‘gas’ in the system. The same way as 'gas' on Ethereum platform is used as a transaction comission
- Crypterium Credit Token (a separate banking product by Crypterium that is not related to regular CRPT token) will be be linked to a smart contract that storages a reputation of a borrower. And no one can fake the reputation data.

The mission of our business is to develop a bridge between new cryptoeconomy and existing ecosystem.

In our other business projects we always try to use blockchain in order to make blockchain ecosystem stronger.

Hello guys, I believe in your business model and with such an experienced team Crypterium is a subject to success. So, I'm by all means in.

Recently I discussed your idea with my friend who is a newcommer to crypto and he reffered ICOs and all tokens as a Ponzi Scheme.
What are your thoughts?

Hey Cryptomockingbird! Thank you for the question. Ponzi Scheme is a kind of scam. We have a solid fintech-experienced team with a public success-story and strong reputation in fintech community. There is no room for any scam for us.

However, there are many projects amongst ICOs are actual scam and probably Ponzi Schemes. Some guys consider as a pyramide whole the Ethereum platform. So your friend is partly right about ICOs. But I assure this is not about the Crypterium.

And most likely not about Ethereum.

What are Soft and Hard Cap values? What is the minimum amount of tokens available for purchase?

Thank you for the question, Polina. There is no soft cap, hard cap 14500BTC only. There is a minimum ICO milestone 500BTC. If we don't reach it, all the payments will be returned. The first day of ICO is a pre-sale. There will be discounts starting from 33%. More details coming soon in Whitepaper.

Your previous question is being processed, we didn't miss it Smiley.

450  Economy / Speculation / Re: Where do you see bitcoin 5 years from now? on: October 01, 2017, 12:54:45 AM
Cool down the hype. History shows that pioneer technology is rarely viable for a long term. 5 years is a pretty long time considering the speed of blockchain evolution. Thus, I would bet on Ethereum or WavesPlatform, not Bitcoin.

I think Bitcoin will be killed by the one of its competitors.
451  Economy / Securities / Re: where to invest? on: October 01, 2017, 12:13:22 AM
Like almost everyone here I recommend to invest in a project I invest and support already. This is Crypterium—cryptobank with credit token: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2214098.0;all
452  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Bank on: September 30, 2017, 11:58:08 PM
I dont think there will be a need for banks for bitcoin. We can keep it safely in our wallet and if we want to invest, no need banks. Transactions are done with out the help or connection with  banks.

I agree with this, i do not believe that Bitcoin needs a bank. One aspect of Bitcoin is being anonymous. We can trade, buy and sell Bitcoin without needing any security verification.

Also if all Bitcoin were mined and if we have a Bitcoin bank i am sure more people will lose their interest on Bitcoin and the value of it will definitely drop. Still remember that Bitcoins price are still dictated by the market or the public.

There IS a need for cryptobank. Savings, trading and investments are not the only services banks provide for people. We still can't pay with Bitcoin or any other coin at the supermarket, right? This the first need. There are other needs, but I think this one is enough already.

Anonymity is not the only aspect, and not the crucial one. Blockchain-based currencies aim to solve the problem of intervention of the central regulator.
453  Local / Идеи / Re: Банк криптовалюты. on: September 30, 2017, 10:29:02 PM

Huh

Crypterium: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2214098.0;all.
454  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to Post like a professional thread. on: September 29, 2017, 02:25:14 PM
You have a Newbie rank so you have limited features due to spam in the past. As far as I remember Junion Member is able to post images directly.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=178608.0

According to this thread you can have a 50 character signature and you can't use styling (bold, coloring etc.) You can become a junior member in aproximately 1 month, good luck with that.

What it depends on? Time from registration only? or some activities help too?
455  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which ICO would you suggest for October? on: September 29, 2017, 01:37:21 PM
I guess almost everyone above recommends the ICOs he (or less likely she) is going to participate or participates already. Me too-)

The first one is about HR industry. Its ICO is already on pre-sale with approved MVP https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2167145.0;all

The second one I participate is another cryptobank. This project is much more interesting for me, but there is no MVP at the moment https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2214098.0

i'm not an ICO expert, just offer to pay attention.

Hey, just watched Interview with Steven Polyak, it is really good that your project has stayed away from the quasi equity.  Are you going to post more content on youtube for advertising?
Good to see such unique project.

Thank you! Yes, we surely will post more videos. Stay tuned.
459  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO]🇨 Crypterium - Digital Cryptobank with Credit Token & Open Platform🇨 on: September 28, 2017, 03:52:59 PM
Why did you decide for ICO if you could pay your team with exchange fees?

Crypterium aims to develop a cryptobank with own payment ecosystem, credit subtoken and open API. This is much more than simple wallet and requires more investments than fees can provide.

Are there going to be any fees when someone changes his assets to another crpytocurrencies and how much?

We plan to use a 'volatility mask' working on CrypteriumSX technology. It will allow to exchange a token with the lowest fee on the market. No additional fees.
