1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] BANKERA - the Bank for the Blockchain Era on: November 11, 2017, 03:06:59 PM
A WORD OF CAUTION

I saw mentions of Tony G the poker player (real name- Antanas Guoga). The fact that he has been a member of EU parliament sure sounds like a serious title, which should give a lot of credibility, but everyone should keep in mind that its the people of the country who elect the parliament members, and there have been many occasions where total incompetent idiots have been put in those posts, not only from Lithuania, mind you.

But my point here is, the Tony G character has had a fair deal of not so righteous stuff done in the past, take the newest leak of off shore documents - the so called Paradise papers, it is quite evident that he has basically hidden a vast fortune obtained through shady deals with Poker Stars concerning the news site pokernews.net

Here is a link to a non yellow-paper newspaper about this, its in Lithuanian, but Google translate should help:

DISCLAIMER: I am not preaching that this project is a scam, all I'm saying is that one or the other person backing this should not necessarily be reason to call the project trustworthy. Another example - a Lithuanian politician- past mayor of the capital - major shady league player Arturas Zuokas has been the face of a project called "Token Desk" (which is in my opinion 99% a scam), which is also funded by a LOT of shady Lithuanian businessmen with lots of black spots in their histories.

Just do your research and dont trust a single source. Stay safe and happy investment fellow crypto folks.
2  Economy / Economics / Re: Why You Should Never Sell Your Bitcoins Ever on: September 06, 2017, 06:31:40 PM
But if everyone just holds their BTC and no exchange is used, then it becomes rather useless, does it not? Like the infamous Dutch tulip bubble? Well not exactly like that.. but still. I fail to understand where does the value of the bitcoin come from? Its valuable only because it is scarce? How does that make any sense ?
3  Economy / Exchanges / [ADVICE REQUEST (for a noob)] Best exchanges for Europeans on: September 04, 2017, 09:33:23 AM
Hello people,

I'm very new in the whole crypto thing, I've watched from the side for a bit like 4 years ago, ignoring the opportunities. Now I'm starting to get into this. As I do not have much (near any) capital to just buy and hodl (i love how everyone uses this typo-abbreviation instead of saying hold Smiley )

So the best I can do is buy a bit by bit during the dips and learn how to trade.

This leads to the question- what are the best exchanges for Europeans? I'm thinking to use kraken or bitstamp, but I'm open for options. Is it better to just focus on one exchange or use a few at a time?

Thanks for any of your input!

Hello, this is a dumb question coming from a noob. Please dont hate. I just found out about the ouraibot blog yesterday, today i found out about the ico, i mean that its still on going. I have no wallet no nothing, can i still manage to participate? My question would be what is tge fastest way to obtain ether (i guess) so i can participate. 5  Economy / Speculation / Re: Invest in Bitcoin right now? on: August 26, 2017, 05:58:10 AM
I really f*&#^ing hate myself for ignoring BTC when i was a first year student... it was already 150$ per one then....

now i cant afford even half a bitcoin thanks to the shitty wages in my country. I want to invest in something, but i have nothing to invest... is mining anything a good option these days ? if i could even get free electricity?

Whats the best way to start i wonder...

and the big question, are all cryptos in a bubble now ? they all have risen sharply from May this year, it sure as hell seems like a bubble, do you people think it will ever back down to at least 1 or 2k$ per BTC ?

EDIT: this is my first post here by the way, hello everone
