Posted here for reference as the other Topic is self-moderated and this will probably get deleted: There's currently a >51% attack going on on XVG which exploits a bug in retargeting in the XVG code. Usually to successfully mine XVG blocks, every "next" block must be of a different algo.. so for example scrypt, then x17, then lyra etc. Due to several bugs in the XVG code, you can exploit this feature by mining blocks with a spoofed timestamp. When you submit a mined block (as a malicious miner or pool) you simply set a false timestamp to this block one hour ago and XVG will then "think" the last block mined on that algo was one hour ago.. Your next block, the subsequent block will then have the correct time.. And since it's already an hour ago (at least that is what the network thinks) it will allow this block to be added to the main chain as well. This is what is going on since about 06:00 UTC of 04.04.2018: SetBestChain: new best=00000000049c2d3329a3 height=2009406 trust=2009407 date=04/04/18 13:50:09 ProcessBlock: ACCEPTED (scrypt) -- As you can see in the text above, those blocks are all subsequent, so one miner gets them all and you see there's 90 min difference between all the blocks, thats one bug the miner is exploiting. You also see the correct time is the latter time.. so the last block ended on 13:51:06 and the block before was 12:17:47 and the block with the correct time before that one was at 13:51:05 .. That means the hacker is mining one block per second !The vergeDEV @ Discord says "everything is okay - there's nothing to fix".. Since about 99% blocks by legit pools are rejected - and the dev team is not able to understand this problem, i'm closing and removing all VERGE pools from suprnova. Here's a incomplete list of the malicious addresses: https://verge-blockchain.info/address/DKE3tKrXJJ2s7nCPYtE5vntBKBZKGLb2kBhttps://verge-blockchain.info/address/DBbZgu2eeZfxdUiqtf1dbG3H5kExDTqzCMhttps://verge-blockchain.info/address/DTnxUQ476HWeSqm5hct2astEp2EB8BQBMDhttps://verge-blockchain.info/address/DMK8aqjFGUNVQibv7i3qu4pyUyXcnSHHcChttps://verge-blockchain.info/address/DN4rx2gKm7Lepa6kyZx62zJtWVLAxNBc15https://verge-blockchain.info/address/DFSnNgjEyYkfDVJGR8BG2LdFLYbJgdtFRahttps://verge-blockchain.info/address/DAf5YdtmvTaq2gySAPtfPzv86jC9nGY1RRhttps://verge-blockchain.info/address/DUCtin38xfPWvLvkAtWMJoUDefg3mu1rYQhttps://verge-blockchain.info/address/D5Gz63joDNteuMJSMuiD153hQHPN626rywFrom what I see there are a lot more this shows the incompetence of the XVG developers. Myriadcoin had these type of attacks years ago on their multialgo so there is a fix out there Buy XSH XDDDDDDDD

The miners and development team at Bitcoin are part of the cartel as many developers already know who have not sold themselves out to the bankers. of course bankers can pump and dump and no one can stop them now they own the development team too.
I saw this article more than days ago, and it was pretty interesting. i came out looking for a lot of information and it seriously make sense. Well, i think that the price of each bitcoin will drop a lot during the upcoming days, or even weeks.. i am sure that we all are gonna make a very good profit if we buy at the bottom. This "paper" lacks of sources and what is and should remain an assumption is written down as a fact. This is nowere near to be serious.
|
|
|
It does not matter if this is true or not, but the problem is that this article is too much popular now and since people are looking for a reason to find the price drop, these type of articles take the popularity. And above all, they bring more panic in the market. Agreed. As usual, people aren't sharing deep thoughts and ideas, they're sharing emotional reactions. This isn't good if we want to think straight about possibilities and solutions.
|
|
|
This "paper" is too much shared. There is probably price manipulation and whales coordinated attacks but I dislike the way this thing it written. It's sensationalist and it's heavenly lacking of facts and serious analysis. If, and I say if, we're suffering price supression, this topic have to be seriously investigated and I wouldn't call myself a data analyst by showing four charts. Hell with those charts I could even write down an article pretending the aliens are among us and Trump is pepe.
I tend to think people who came in arond 10k and before 20k are had too much expectations. They probably don't even know what Bitcoin is about and they don't care about how blockchain can change their daily life, so now they're dumping in panic, dramatically increasing the weight of anykind of manipulation happening around anyway.

We don't see often no ICO coins coming out with something really interesting & new Just wait guys, this is just the begining

So no big news it seems ?!?!
besides the huge upcoming news, that everyone is talking about.. on discord/telegrame/something else. and only slightly mentioned here... I don't know why is always the same sh** with XVG, drama, drama, drama. Same thing happens when they were announcing wraith ! Then supporters get mad and throw XVG, I hope this will not happen again The secret is just to deliver in time. By being professional you'll avoid drama.... It's absolutely impossible to build trust otherwise.

Stipend best coin!
The price is tanking and they haven't even considered telling the exchange to suspend trading to protect the community. You think these scammers really care about anything other than the price of the coin and eventually dumping to get as much money as possible. Suspend the trading ? Congrats, you reached a brand new level in the great history of trolling. This coin have a team working on a use case and so far there is no scam. Deal with it.

You're still frustrated ? Newbie account with no activity and so much fud, you're obviously dishonest. Plus the price isn't tanking.
You know nothing about their infrastructure and its cost so the number you're throwing out of your pants mean basically nothing. Since you don't know about their infrastructure and long / short term strategies, the operational cost you're talking about is hard to evaluate precisely, and you perfectly know it. You're saying it can't function and yet you proved nothing. This is demagogy and all your questions have been answered on Discord and again : you got banned from Discord because you came up and asked a question and the community couldn't answer.
People told you to just ask in the right channel where all the questions are collected in order to prepare the dev weekly update where the team is (weekly) answering to all the important questions and concerns with details and profesionalism. You kept asking the, exact, same, question, for more than one hour, ending by saying since the devs weren't putting things his way, they were idiot and the project were worthless. This was plein and annoying fud, and if I were moderating there I couldn't have awaited one hour to kick your ass out and clear our space.

Everything is scam, it`s ok, where is the problem? I got enough profit with SPD and willn`t cry if/when it would scam. As for me - it`s normal, as for you - or, i don`t care how it for you Exactly. And if it's not a scam (which I believe, I think it's real) it's even more money for us. So, why these guys are complaining ?

Sorry to say but last 3-6 pages is boring as hell.
I can understand crayzy88 looking out for fellow citizens in not getting burnt in false scam projects but i dont think your helping anyone tbh!
If i was a new investor in this coin, reading all what ur saying wont put me off it entices me to get into the project more
In the last 2 Months :
I payed 3.6 BTC for Bithold in auction for MN and devs have left now and flogged us to with a one in a lifetime deal of 12:1 numus. I payed 1.6 BTC for Moneybags in auction for MN now worth 0.00990 BTC ( No devs nothing arround ) I payed 1.9 BTC for CBS in auction for MN now worth 0.01108 BTC ( No devs nothing arround ) I payed 2.6 BTC for ADV in auction for MN now worth 0.01249 BTC ( No devs nothing arround ) I payed 1.5 BTC for Race in auction for MN now worth 0.00770 BTC ( No devs no Discord nothing arround )
The list goes ON and ON. Why aint u in any of them 100's of discords or threads trying to save peoples hard earned cash?? this is one of the only masternode coins released in the last 3 months that is actually working and your here with your mate past 4 pages wasting your time.
In the last 6 weeks I have made my investment back with another 2 masternodes pumping coins everyday. So even if it went to 10 cents like u say what have i actually lost?
Just get on with your life m8 and dont worry about others too much, everyones got internet these days they can do there own research and make up there own minds.
Peace
Because initially I only asked very reasonable question. And I was banned for it because the devs couldn't give a real answer. And still can't, which is one that should have been thought of first before anything else. "How will they become profitable with such low fees and still manage to pay for operational cost". At this point even if they answer it can't be more than smoke and mirrors because a question like that should have been able to be answered without much thought as it should be the crux of the project. You're still frustrated ? Your questions have been answered on Discord and again : you got banned from Discord because you came up and asked a question and the community couldn't answer. As I said, we got your point, I even gave you exemples on Discord, now move on. We're all adult.
You didn't give me anything or anyone anything. The theme for this project seems to be (When you don't have an answer, say you already answered it) explain how this analogy isn't true for Stipend It's amazing that people are investing in a company without asking and getting a clearly detailed explanation of how a company they are investing in intends to become profitable. I could say today I am starting an airline and we will collect only 3% of what other airlines charge for tickets. And while that idea may sound great initially, in practice it is impossible because the operational cost are too high, it's the exact same with this project. It sounds great but in reality it can't function with it's current promises You know nothing about their infrastructure and its cost so the number you're throwing out of your pants mean basically nothing. Since you don't know about their infrastructure and long / short term strategies, the operational cost you're talking about is hard to evaluate precisely, and you perfectly know it. You're saying it can't function and yet you proved nothing. This is demagogy and we're all tired of this. Your getting paranoid at this point.

This is a great idea. I hope your team will make this idea a great success. How does POW and POS workout together?
Waht do you mean by how ? The rewards splitting or the tech ?

For god sake, get a life .. you're a cancer.
Yes, I am proud to be cancer to scam projects. Okay we got your point and we're all adults here. I don't think this project is a scam and I think they'll deliver since they already did. I saw many scammy ones and you can make a tremendous amount of BTC without working as they do. So what will be next, ALQO is a scam too ? Wait and see, and stop acting like a sweating ass. I don't care what you think. If you don't want to believe me then just hold your coins and wait until they realize there is no work around for the obvious operational impasses. At that point they will dump all their coins and move onto the next project just as they did with their last project, Sigil. I am waiting for the answers to your questions also. Crypto community is getting packed with a bunch of emotional people. When people come and ask legitimate questions, the coin-cult-members start hurling insults. We will see if they are answered in the weekly update tomorrow. Come on Discord, the questions have been answered (you can scroll up, the detailed answer is there) and they'll be adressed on the dev weekly update anyway.

You're a little harmless fudder trying to get people's attention, trying to heal your little fragile ego or trying to get in for cheap, and this is getting pathetic and ridiculous. Go get a life, work, make love, be happy but stop waisting people's time. This place is made for sharing facts, we're all getting tired of your useless wall of text full of egotrip and false informations.
