for my small farm($0.17/kwH): 22 gtx1070 12 gtx1060 18 rx570 4 rx580 what would you guys recommend to mine i.e. most profitable coin? nvidia GPU: RVN or nicehash-x16r with z-enemy miner amd GPU: XHV or XMR with XMRStak miner? none of the above? tnx

hi phil. I see you have a new thread. hope you are doing fine. Sold all my btc and will be remaining in cash during this price down turn. I plan to scale back in when the down turn shows sign of reversal. I started a mining farm with 3 friends last JAN 2018 and deployed: 12x1060 22x1070 18x570 4x580 we rented out a room which means we have recurring monthly rent cost. we installed internet service which means we have recurring monthly internet cost. we cant stop mining unless we pay the pretermination cost on the room and internet, both contracts are 24months long. i will crunch some numbers to find at what price btc should drop to which makes profits drop to zero.

Guys, The temps on the 6x zotac 1070 minis on this onda D1800 board is bordering on unacceptable for me. Acceptable to me is all cards running equihash below 65C. The hottest card#0 ~ 68C and card#4 ~ 66C. I already put a 9inch industrial fan(45W) blowing directly from the back. The fan is centered on the card#2 and is blowing from the back to the hot aisle/section of the room. The hot aisle/section has a 14" industrial exhaust fan taking the air out. This creates negative pressure. There is an open window to the outside beside/near the exhaust fan. We stick on some insulation board/material so as to funnel outside/colder air away from the exhaust fan so that it only exhaust hot air and hopefully the colder air will circulate to the cards. Suggestions to get the temps down would be appreciated.

Hi Guys. Am trying to consolidate data on how to properly overclock for different algorithms. It will be a public spreadsheet so the community can benefit. Hopefully, the veterans in this thread can chime in and recommend how to OC for each algo i.e. for ethash: min core/max mem for equihash: max core/min mem <-- not sure about this Thanks in advance. I have the onda d1800 riserless motherboard and am trying to run a sapphire nitro 570 4gb on it. I downloaded rx os dagfix zip file. Unzipped it then used etcher to write it to my usb flash drive. I plugged the usb flash drive in to one of the usb ports on the board and powered on. It started booting with some text flashing on the screen then the screen went blank. no error messages. no blinking cursor. nothing I press on the keyboard affects the screen. not even ctrl-alt-delete. do I just leave it running and plugged in to the network? is it updating with a blank screen?

Thanks for the reply guys. I was able to enter the bios so no loose memory or power cables for me. Figured it out. Had to flash my board to the latest bios. Scary 3 minutes with NO UPS. For those with same issue on the ONDA D1800, I made a bootable DOS usb stick and flashed using the tool/bios from the ONDA site. Good luck. Ensure your board boots, press ON button, listen for beep, if not then reseat DDR3 RAM and ensure all cabling tight and secure 1. Most BIOS defaults at GPU0 for monitor (PCI slot closest to CPU) 2. To use ONDA onboard mobo graphics - you actually need to change BIOS 3. In use smOS or nvOC, no changes required in BIOS to get mining running. 4. Plug monitor at GPU0, save BIOS and let it run. 5. logically Win10 will probably same as above. 6. I use smOS Linux mostly for my rigs - for ease of deployment, except for VEGA/Win10 and older rigs 1080ti Equihash/nvOC

@citronick and other guys/gals with Onda D1800 Hi all. Are you able to run the Onda D1800 with nvOC? Or are you all on windows10? To run nvoc properly, I think I need to disable the IGD. I tried to disable the IGD in the bios. I installed a pcie gpu(gtx1060) on pcie1 slot. I connected a monitor to the gpu on pcie1. I powered on, no display on the monitor. I connected a monitor to the builtin vga on the board, no display on the monitor. Am I doing something wrong? Help???

Is the total rig cost for deploying 4xVega56 optimally higher due to memory requirements for activating HBM2? i.e. 32GB REQUIRED? Will you also need to run win10? which means deploying an SSD? Or can you run on linux usb stick? hows about power draw? at what power are those sols produced?

hello phil. I have access to galax 1070 katanas for a little less than $450. Are these cards any good? Planning to get an 8gpu-riserless board + 7 of the galax 1070 katana and 1 zotac 1070 mini. I can resell them to you or any one else. Just need to figure out cost effective shipping.

hi phil, you recommended: 2 x EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti SC2 GAMING 1 x ZOTAC GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Mini The evga cards are not blower type. Are they going to be okay heat wise? I am guessing they would be fine on open air/no case build? but for a build inside a case, I would need blower type cooler right?

Lancusters It's very hot in out country(PH) so ambient temps are quite high. also my mining room is warm. this is as much undervolt as I can manage. anything lower hangs.

Ethash:29Mh/s temp:66C power:85W errors/hour:27/3 started with original bios then with PBEv1.6.2 - applied one click timings - upped max fan speed from 3000 to 3300 - upped the core voltage@300 from 750mv to 824mv - changed core voltage@900 to 65282 - changed core voltage@1145 to 65282 - changed core voltage@1215 to 65283 - changed core voltage@1257 to 65283 - changed core voltage@1300 to 65283 - changed core voltage@1365 to 65283 - changed memory voltage@2000 to 1024 MSI AB setting: 1145core/2100mem/80% fan Trixx setting: 1145core/2100mem/-108mV
