2  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fiat or crypto betting in bear market? on: December 03, 2018, 04:55:33 PM
Yeah I agree if you do not compare with fiat all the time and purely look at crypto amount than its a good way to stick to crypto gambling.

I build my 0.003BTC up to 0.035BTC in sports betting past 7 days. Not that big amount but we all know how much value 0.035 was x amount of time ago. All profits made in crypto now have a potentially good value in future

4  Economy / Speculation / Re: HODL'ers lose. That is no surprise on: December 02, 2018, 05:57:37 PM
Holding is for newbies who think without doing anything by just holding bitcoins you can become a billionaire by cashing out anytime you desire. But the truth is expert or those that made their money with crytpocurrency never hold but traded their crypto.

I completely disagree with you as holding is not just for newbies, but even experienced people cause they understand the importance of holding. The common mistake with holding is, people assume holders never sell we holders do sell, but only when the price is right. As we recently saw many people dumped their coins in looses, and many people like me decided to hodl and sell only when we're in profits. I would never indulge in trading of bitcoins as you're likely to burn your hands, due to it's volatile nature.

I disagree as well. For hodlers it maybe takes longer to make profits but as long as they just keep their coins they will not loose, only when they would panic sell. But a real hodler has balls of steel and just keep his coins.
Hodlers do not sell but in this current situation they shop cheap to profit again in some time.... anyway that's what I am doing. I m expanding my hodl portfolio...

I want to share I correctly received my 6mBTC freebet. There was some kind of misunderstanding. I verified my ID which I do not bother cause I have it done at all fiat bookies as well.
So I received my 6mBTC freebet instantly after verification was done!!!

Thx Sportsbet.io

Free bet is usually credited within 48 hours of the qualifying bet

Yeah I know but through support chat they told my account wasn't qualified to receive the free bet
But before depositing, have you verified your identity? Because one of the conditions for having a free bet is to prove that you are over 18 years old

That was not in the freebet welcome offer general conditions. And on the general terms and conditions only is stated that a kyc verification can be necessary for withdrawals of 1BTC or higher. In their terms and in the freebet conditions there is nowhere stated that an id verification is needed to obtain the freebet.

It only stated.
make a deposit
place a bet with the exact bid amount of 2mBTC which I did on a single/multiple bet with an odd higher than 1.5. This I did as well cause my odd was 1.58. Beside this conditions there is not stated to run an id verification upfront

@sportsbet.io

Please reply on my PM I send you.

I would like to receive a decent explanation why my account doesn't qualify to receive the 6mBTC freebet.

I had a chat with support and they couldn't answer and security@sportsbet.io does not respond on my email.

I am not angry or something but I just want to know why I do not receive the freebet.

I registered my account 3-4 days ago and is the only account I play from.
I deposited my first amount the 28th of November 2018.
And I placed my first bet that fulfilled all requirements.

bet amount exactly 2mBTC
odds above 1.5

12  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: ICOBench Adviser Douglas Lyons:asking 3 ETH for fake rating. on: November 29, 2018, 03:11:55 PM
Yeah I agree, all those supposed 'experts' and ICO advisors just are part of a new way of scamming people.

I once spoke with a person that was launching some kind of eco friendly mining ICO. He hired a handful advisors after they reviewed the idea. They told they were going to invest themselves and bring in lots of investors from their huge amount of followers.

the team paid the advisory team 3ETH each (700$/eth t that time). After that they just posted on their linkdin they were involved in that project but beside that they never did any effort to publicly support the project, nor to invest themselves or bring in investors funds from their network of followers.

So clearly becoming an ICO advisor these days is a new way of becoming a scammer
13  Economy / Lending / Re: Loan request of 0.15btc on: November 29, 2018, 01:08:18 PM
i'm interested to know how you can OP earn more than 0.05 in 5 days period for it to be worthwhile to borrow the 0.15 btc.

It's to help me see through a real estate deal that is at the last stage. What is needed is for a survey to be done and a legal search to be carried out all of which can happen in a day; then payment. That's the reason I can afford to repay the interest, my commission will permit so.

You are in the middle of a real estate deal but don't have 300-500$ to close the deal. Sounds weird to me

17  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fiat or crypto betting in bear market? on: November 27, 2018, 09:24:40 AM
I think it is much better betting right now with bitcoin considering you have a chance of not only winning and making up the difference but also if you lost you will lose less in fiat if you care about that.

I personally gamble for getting the bitcoin number higher or at least have fun while doing it so it doesn't matter to me if I gamble with fiat or crypto since the outcome is still the same, if I am not happy with what I do, I must be doing something wrong.

However, if I was asked which one is better betting fiat and getting more fiat or betting crypto and getting more crypto I would prefer crypto in this market. Why ? Because if you bet 1 bitcoin and win 0.2 bitcoin so you have 1.2 bitcoin you not only make up the loss in the market but also will have more fiat when the price goes back up.

Correct. I would take same approach as well, but only with crypto I purchased during the crash. If you for example still hold coins bought at 10k+ its to risky to bet with. You can win of course but if you loose you loose your initial purchase amount and not todays price cause you bought much higher.
So I would gamble with crypto as well but only with fresh purchased coins.

BTW mate , does rebel betting have recorder log for their past plays ? I want to see how they are doing with pinnacle but couldn't find anything related to that in the site so hope they send logs for their subscribers

also are you finding some value bets with pinnacle and sbo ? is there an estimation of how often the software find value in these bookies ?

I checked with the software. I activated Sbo once for couple of days and the software gave quit a lot value bets. Pinnacle as well but definatelly not that much. I think pinnacle is more useful for arbitrage betting.

Think they do not have much recordings. For example the bets test for the valuebetting was done by a group that placed 12000 bets. But those group placed bets on over 60-70 different bookies.

I am in the private customer subscribers chat. I Will ask if there are punters that have logs about pinnacle and/or Sbo bets.

Will send you Pm
