Damn, was gonna buy some shares last week but I couldn't get that crappy WeExchange site to work that you need to fund btct...forgot about it until now.

Bitinstant works supremely for me, spec when I need $$$ in an acct ASAP for an arbitrage opp... 4 percent fee and the $$$ is transferred in BTC within minutes and the 4 percent fee beats most bank transfers... Only
Thing that sucks is they limit order transfers to $500 to make it harder to launder cash or some shit...

Nice!

I imagine it is people buying in for the dividend tomorrow; I wouldn't be surprised to see it drop afterwards.

Their mining dividends are increasing, also 200 th of mining equipment being made.

i think 3 btc will be seen before july.

it is not like bfl is going to ship any time soon.
I agree that the long-term prospects are very good.

I bought a single share at just under 1.5 a few days ago - I wish I had the BTC to buy more.

You can always buy options on AM shares to leverage/if ya don't have enuff BTC... I bought ten with a 1.5 strike only payin a .1 BTC premium on each when AM shares were @ 1.47 a few days ago...

It hasn't tanked in a month, even held steady after 3 slightly disappointing div payouts... This div is supposed to be in the .015/share range which would boost confidence quite a bit + who pumps and dumps on weekly divs when one share costs $200 lol... This spike could also have been triggered by that hugely disappointing announcement apology from BFL yest...

bfl said something?  link please!

Yea def not good news

@superduh see edited post...
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ASIC Miner Sellers - Why do they exist? on: May 12, 2013, 04:53:44 PM
All the above explanations are bullshit...

Because of all the ASIC DIYers out there and taking into account the 3 major ASIC producers competing w each other, one company mining w their ASIC tech provides little to no threat to the network. Also relevant to this point is the fact that ASICMINERS have already added 21 terahashes to the network w diff only increasing 30 perecent and their 14 TH added to BTC guild only jacking up that pools network share 6 percent...

"Sellers" exist for one primary reason only: it takes an insane amount of capital to design and produce custom BTC mining ASIC chips + create the hardware and software necessary to hash with these specialized ASIC chips. Early to mid last year there were no VCs with balls big enuff to invest in ASIC mining therefore we have "sellers" like Avalon and BFL who really just intiatiated pre-ordering as a means to raise the necessary capital...

Even ASICMINER/Bitfountian had to IPO shares in theyre company to raise captital and the only reasons they even decided to sell some of there first gen Blades is because they have a responsibility to shareholders/must pay dividends + raise additional capital for research and development of the next generatin ASIC hardware they plan to implement...

18  Economy / Trading Discussion / BTC-TC options trading strangeness on: May 10, 2013, 07:09:44 PM
Has anyone noticed how strangely these options are written on the BTC-TC exchange? For example, ASICMINER PT call # 214 is listed below-the-money + is expiring in five hours yet it still has a .105 BTC premium??? Who in there right mind would pay that premium/buy that and did whoever write it even know how to write options??? And the only ASICMINER PT put listed is a 60 strike (waaaaay out of the money) and the premium per share is .231 BTC??? Most of these options make absolutely no sense... Has anyone else noticed this?
