Today I will mostly be plucking a goose. Wish me luck!
Assuming that is not a euphemism, good luck. I have only ever prepped and cooked ready plucked ones. If you haven't cooked goose before, one thing to watch is the huge amount of fat a goose seems to contain. So have a deep tray and take care when getting it out of the oven. I stumbled a little with the pan once, the goose shifted and the entire kitchen floor was instantly a pool of fat. EDIT: Good choice - much better than a boring, tasteless and dry turkey. Enjoy! Thanks no I've got used to it over the years. Glad to hear there's another aficionado here, it's just so tasty compared to even the best turkey. Even better, it doesn't go that far, so we can't have a massive party. Her name was Geraldine, and she was a good goose. Goose is on the Christmas menu at ours this year too. Much prefer it over Turkey. The fat is great for roasting the potatoes in as swell. |

Prediction. Price shoots up over 100k on Jan. 3. But nobody has bitcoins on the exchange to sell. By the time they are back on the exchange the price is back down to the Jan 2 price.  I think this is the reason why this experiment will have a limited effect. The price is likely to rise somewhat depending on how short exchanges are of BTC. People will be scrambling to put their BTC back on to exchanges to get a bit of the better price action. As a result this will dampen the price rise. It will be interesting to see how it pans out. I for one, have already moved all my BTC into cold storage. |

With massive losses, Bitmain has no resources to support BCH. Illiquid BCH falls further hitting Bitmain balance sheet. Suppliers cut off credit lines & buyers wary to purchase equipment. IPO Canceled. Only solution - significant down round and VCs take over? Interesting to see! I wonder where BTC would have been today if Wu and Ver had not started all the Bcash shit and had, instead, focussed their efforts on BTC. Would we have been this low or would real adoption begun to take hold? Who knows where the price might be by now? Wankers |

I'm not disagreeing with the guy. Just kept waiting for the metagame portion that you mentioned.
I believe the ideal is that Bitcoin itself is a virus to the king. Slowly consuming until the king (banks) is dead.
Strangely enough, this was discussed in some of our seasteading discussions. We don't want to piss off the puppet masters who actually control things (especially early on). So we may have to put a Citibank on one of the first seasteads as an offering to the gods.
