1  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Too many exchanges? on: December 02, 2019, 12:08:37 AM
I suppose it’s really fine to have that many exchanges. Bad ones do not survive and die fast. But good small exchanges eventually grow and challenge the bigger ones, so in order to survive either of them has to adapt and make their product better each time. I especially monitor exchanges without KYC and AML, like Basefex. They caught my attention recently. Wonder, how far they’ll go
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 6 safety concerns? on: November 30, 2019, 05:01:06 PM
I've known crypto for over 2 years now so somehow I could easily spot a scam so I think I am safe in that part. My only concern is the security of my crypto wallet. I'm using an app on my phone and since everything was processed online, I got no hold if that app company goes "poof" in an instant taking all my money. I'm can't think of any solution on how I could feel secure when it comes to my e wallet.
3  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trade with USDT or BTC? on: November 30, 2019, 04:53:43 PM
Bitcoin’s volatility makes it a bit risky for margin trading. When you short BTC using BTC, you lose more than you should since your margin becomes less valuable along the way.
I consider usdt as a better alternative to BTC due to their stability.
I genuinely believe that stablecoin-settled contracts may help derivatives market to grow bigger as they could attract traders, who are just starting margin trading. I tried usdt-settled contracts on Basefex a while ago, and it went pretty well. However, I prefer to use BTC since the profit can be bigger.
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Earning Interest with Bitcoin? on: October 12, 2019, 01:13:37 AM
Is this possible?  Example you lend bitcoin to something similar to like a bank and they give you interest on it?  Like how now they give you 2% interest?

I heard binance is doing something similar like that but it was like 10%?

I haven't explored Binance yet but I do have altcoins there since last year.
Regarding lending BTC with interest like banks, it is kind of risky unless the company is well established for years and is really making profits (probably like exchanges).
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ICO - Blockbid: Bringing Stockmarket Exchange Quality to Cryptocurrency on: July 01, 2018, 10:02:05 AM
Will KYC providers keep all my kyc information indefinitely do you know?

7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Market status on: March 20, 2018, 10:55:03 AM
it looks like the current market is starting to green, coin prices in the market start growing back maybe in the next few weeks the market will return stable

I do hope it happens as I've missed looking at my port on green. I guess there were many FUDs out there that we're not able to keep track of them one by one. The dump of major exchanges and the news about Google banning crypto ads must've really made the market bleed these days.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you still support Ethereum? on: March 20, 2018, 10:50:23 AM
Even if ETH's value dropped a lot on the past few weeks I am still supporting this coin as it is still very promising. More ICOs are built under ETH platform so there is still room for improvement as well at BTC. I think in the next following years, ETH will be recognized and accepted as a form of payment too just like BTC.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you like airdrops? on: March 19, 2018, 10:33:03 PM
I do like airdrops for a reason that they are free! I just hate it when those ICO do not distribute their airdrops after letting me sign those form and even provide a KYC. As of the moment, I ignore airdrops with KYC as they will just probably steal my identity later  Grin So let's stay away from them as we can. I haven't have received any good amount for airdrops yet but I am hoping that I could get one soon.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Markets stabilizing or G20 bullish news? on: March 19, 2018, 10:29:55 PM
I don't see any major changes yet regarding the prices so let's just stay relax as of now. There will still probably investors who are waiting for the chart to turn to green and do some panic selling after. I think these few days of March will still stay as bearish so let's just sit back and relax, and enjoy the view.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is a good amount to invest? on: March 19, 2018, 10:25:21 PM
Invest what you can afford. I remember I started with $10 or $20? Then I started building my portfolio and invested around $60. I haven't tried investing $100 in one go since I am not in the stage yet where I could risk a week's budget for crypto  Grin Anyway, I only invest what I can afford to lose so that if the market is bullish then its good and if the market is bearish I am not one of those cry babies who are afraid to look at their portfolio and keep ranting why their investments are down  Grin
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is market going to bounce back before September? on: March 19, 2018, 10:20:55 PM
If there will be no major negative issues surrounding Bitcoin in the next two months, I think it will bounce back. I remember that altcoins are down round September last year because of China banning crypto so I think these dips are just repetitive every year, giving us a hint not to be afraid and be affected by it because the coins value will definitely rise up and become bullish again.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shitcoins winners on: March 17, 2018, 09:23:21 AM
Recently I noticed that mainly Shitcoins are the gainers. I found out when scrolling down the charts https://www.coinranker.net/ that these Shitcoins are making profits:
-Latium 202%
-Jiyocoin 85%
-Hollywoodcoin 72%

I should not only focus on the top 10 coins but we should also take notice of the smaller coins.

I don't think its good to pay attention to these coins as based on what you've said, those are shitcoins so most probably it won't be forever that way. Besides since they are unknown coins, most likely you won't find a good exchanger where you can trade it. If you do find one, the price won't be so high also as you expect since no one see them as a good investment.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptopia... on: March 17, 2018, 09:14:40 AM
I don't have an account in cryptopia since just looking at it looks like the site is not okay for first time users like me. Seems like I still need to navigate to somewhere before I reach my destination  Grin Anyway, there are plenty of news about hacked exchanges lately so I guess we should really be aware how to secure our investments. That is why it is advisable to move our investments from exchanges to wallet as exchanges are prone to hacking. It is really important to activate 2FA security so our account couldn't be easily hacked.
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think digital currency will ever replace paper money? on: March 17, 2018, 08:58:43 AM
I don't think so, we will have both physical and digital currency in the future but not a replacement

Personally I agree to this. I know we are living in a fast paced environment and there will come a time that almost everything will be paid by digital currency but I think paper money will still exist. Remember that we still have the government and I am sure they will do everything under their power to keep our local money intact. Every country has debts to another country so I think they can't pay it just by using digital currencies because every country's central bank has the control over it. I think when it comes to financial issues, everything will have its complicated battle over something.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: INVESTMENT IDEAS on: March 13, 2018, 04:16:33 AM
1000$ TO INVEST, WHERE SHOULD I PUT IT?

Better to invest on your knowledge first on how and where to put that amount that you think will profit after some time. It's really hard to give an advice these days as the market is in a bearish trend. If you are an investor who positively looks at everything, the crypto market chart are on SALE alert that its good to buy everything now. If you are a pessimistic person and will only rant about the dips on your investments after a few days then crypto market is not for you. Better invest your money in a bank where as far as I know profit is fixed annually.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Google too closing crypto ads on: March 12, 2018, 11:56:40 PM
Once Google shuts the door on crypto ads related to ICOs, then it will be much more difficult for teams to create awareness for their ICO.

The marketing teams behind serious ICO projects will have to come up with creative and effective new strategies that have never been used to create awareness to prospective investors.

On the plus side, shitty projects will have to work thrice as hard and spend resources to reach prospective investors.

I agree. I think they still have other options to spread awareness if they are really serious with their project. As for scam projects, they need to think a million times to spread their scam ideas around since they will need to spend money in marketing strat to let people see their existence.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: How do you explain the bounty campaign? on: March 12, 2018, 11:51:22 PM
When I earned my first money with the bounty, people around me (especially my family) asked me where did my money came from. When I told them that it came from bounty campaigns, I saw their puzzled face. So I explain it to them with this analogy: "When politicians are running for office, they always show their faces in public in order for them to remember. They give flyers with their name and platforms in it. ICOs are like politicians and their elections is called bounty campaign. We make the ICO popular by posting in forums, social media sites, and creating videos and article." And they quickly understood it so every time someone ask me about bounty campaign, I always used this analogy. How about you?

I am not good with explaining things so I don't usually answer everytime someone asks me what is a bounty campaign but if I did I'd probably say that bounty campaigns is working on a task where you can get free tokens which you can exchange paper money after a couple of months.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it better to have many altcoins or it is enough to have few? on: March 10, 2018, 10:58:07 PM
If I were to ask I'd prefer quality over quantity. I'll have as much as I can afford quality altcoins in my portfolio than having plenty of altcoins that I can't track their progress, not knowing their performance or updates in the end. There are plenty of altcoins in the market that after some time loses its value so one should be aware of what's going on with that certain coin almost everyday. I remember a coin I got from an airdrop which suddenly dropped then gone after a few days of making a FOMO so its a bit devastating for me.
20  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin correction? on: March 10, 2018, 10:50:48 PM
If it goes to 4000 I wouldn't think of that as a typical correction, the correction was down to 6k and I still believe that was an over adjustment. If we go to 4k or lower that will be after a prolonged bear period of many months. It's impossible to say with certainty but my feeling is that worst case scenario we might retest support around the 6k level before recovering once more.
According to wave chart analysis, bitcoin can be reduced to as low as $ 4k5. Thus, the cryptocurrency market will remain volatile. But the $ 4k5 bitcoin will be a big boost to the market especially altcoin because many new investors will enter the market when the bitcoin drops sharply.

I guess we should see everything in a positive way every dip because there will be new investors coming in times like this. If it does go down to $4k, its like the price when I've entered crypto last year because BTC was about $4.5 last September. Hope it won't go down to that rate though as $6k correction in my opinion is good enough.
