Economy / Speculation / What to do at all times when you are trading and/or speculating

I do not claim to endorse this nor am I confessing that I am practicing this.
An experienced trader-friend once told me :
"Most times it is beneficial doing the opposite of what others are doing in the markets, buy when they are selling, sell when they are buying."
In any case, I've gotten out at the 1.1 to 1k mark and am ready with fiat now. Just watching for an entry point.

fybsg is the best so far, the owner is fast and responsive... i can't believe you guys still trust mtgox... Anyone has ever withdrawn any USD from Gox before? How long did it take? I sold some BTC some time ago and decided to withdraw from Gox since doubt they will ever reach back to USD$100 levels. More than 3 weeks liao.
Hi Bro, So how you got your it already? From what you can see they are taking forever even for US accounts so just have to wait... Yeah still waiting. Open support requests also no response. Luckily not a big amount. FYB is good. Transacted and withdrawn 5 digits so far and no issues.

The first time I ever heard about B.A.S was their inception of FPGA-based miners. Seems like I never ran through any rants or complaints against B.A.S as compared to *ahem* ButtFuqLabs. However, I don't really know what kind of track record B.A.S has either. Just because I don't hear complaints doesn't mean the company is perfect. Any one here care to chime in on their personal experience regarding past purchases made from B.A.S? I'd like to know if they are actually capable of starting on the assembly and shipping process by Feb. 2014.
Ive bought and received their fpgas before. All went well.

Spread your bets, if it were me.
1x KNC (3TH) 1x Black Arrow (2TH)
Total 5TH.
That's exactly what I was just thinking, lol. KNC obv seems like the most 'reputable', and Black Arrow seems like the cheapest/fastest shipping. When do you think the Q1/Q2 will actually be though?? Also, Hash Fast looks cool, but the Sierra is only 1.2TH and is looking at early April shipping. No one knows the exact ship date. We don't even know if they have the chips yet.

Yeah, I really love what KNC has done and am eager to see what new beast they roll out. At the same time, it may come down to who can ship first..
While KNC has been working on their stuff, deliveries and all that there most likely have been other companies working on their stuff as well....miners hashing at 2TH or even more will most likely come from other companies then KNC. The problem is to find out which ones will be on the market first. Seriously, KNC's first top of the line rig was 580Gh/s. What could possibly be their top of the line 2nd gen model? I REALLY want to see an American company come out with something. I would definitely take the ride to check them out and pick up the goods, as well as a lot of other people would. American company ....lots of people went and we're impressed with BFL trips butterflylabs and look how that turned out..you just never know (still can't believe the BFL site with all the fancy pics/shoutbox/etc was a scam by never shipping stuff and the KNC site with LINE DRAWINGS of their miners was legit..go figure) Searing All's crazy in bitcoin. But I'm glad I have this community to grow with through the craziness. *lays back and sips on the wine while watching the blue led reflect off the floor from my Jup*

Should be breaking even soon. Maybe this difficulty. The beginning was bad. It was only hashing at 420GH and then 1 of the boards failed and I had to send it back to Sweden for replacement. Then after FW 0.98 then everything became solid at 560+GH. Mined about 16 BTC so far since 18 Oct with all the delays and issues. Most likely will continue to mine with it, considering nothing out there is equal now to KnC and BitFury. The other HW shops got delay also I heard.

Hi, just new to the BTC scene. Great to see a Singaporean community! Harlow. I think you can grab a mini ASIC miner, go library with laptop and mine, haha! Free power! Good idea! I never thought about that. Now how to hide my Jupiter. Lol!
