Advanced???
Let's forget for a second AE is probably had/has one of the most abysmal token to coin transitions.
Let's forget for a second AE taxes it's own miners 11% for "R & D" even though they have stashed away millions (~50 million) in AE tokens pre launch

If you bought at Pre-Launch, your investment would be -55% right now.  That's not taking into account the soaring prices of ETH or BTC.  Simply based on the USD purchase price compared to what it is now.... which is SCAM

Current prices of AE is FAR below what launch and pre-launch

How are you advancing??  AE has been on a downward slope for many months now.  The volume of trades is dropping very fast (not to mention the value) with almost 60% percent of trading by Asian exchabge ZB.com

You have no community.  90% of all posts on here are made by AE, spitting out B.S. about what is launching.

The markets are calling your bluff.  By the end of the year AE will be lucky if it is in the top 100.  Binance trading of AE is currently at all time lows.  Interest is being lost.

AE had potential.  Unfortunately, you guys/gals are unorganized, greedy and piss-poor marketing.   I feel bad for all of the "investor's" you have scammed.

The numbers don't lie.   Declining everything.  I now sit back, and look to light my cigarette with the burning flames of what was once AE.

=====================================================================
HERE ARE SOME FACTS:

Less than 3 mining pools
No actual wallet
No launch
No updated website or roadmaps
You have MILLIONS OF DOLLARS at your disposal
No Marketing
No Product
Declining Sales
Declining Value
Abysmal Trading Volumes across ALL exchanges
Value now lower than Pre-Launch
Fucking Taxing miners
Nothing New in innovation (just talk)

Hey,

We hear your concerns and we're doing everything we can to remedy the situation. However, your sarcasm doesn't help in any way and does not contribute to a healthy discussion.

Hi AE, please excuse my use of profanity... But...  No one gives a shit about your "We hear your concerns and we're doing everything we can to remedy the situation".  You received millions of dollars and almost 2 years to get this project off of the ground.  Yet you failed in every step of the way.  From initially stealing the code from one of your partners, (Zach Hess)  to the abrupt leaving of your CTO.  THE WORST MIGRATION in the history of tokens and finally.....

The outright theft of a 13% cut from the miners for your own greed by using authoritarian votes that MOSTLY you control in for any outcome

This isn't an open consensus of users believing in your project.  No investor in the history of any organization or token would have allotted a 13% cut off of al profits.   This is compounded by the fact that your mining pools are abysmal and limited to what??? 2 maybe 3 pools NOW???

SO with all that said, please spare your fucking bullshit "We hear your concerns and we're doing everything we can to remedy the situation"...      This by far the worst project out there if that is what you would call it.  But certainly one of the better exit-scam projects / Scam coins.

Again:  No one gives a fuck about "your best"..... Or "you're trying".... Or "but its really hard"...  "We are doing everything we can"....  This isn't fucking kindergarten.  Act like a fucking adult for fuck's sake!!!!!

Way to go AE.

Instead of to the moon, you are steadily going towards the ground.  Current price of 28 Cents is far below the ICO.

If I'm not mistaken, this is the lowest price ever.  But AE's marketing (or lack of) is hard at work.  Pretty soon AE will be for free.

Dear AE team, once the price of AE reaches 0.00, how difficult will it be to buy and convert the tokens through your convoluted, confusing and possibly worst Coin launch?

I would highly recommend AE team, (Due to the major price drop) to have another consensus/vote and increase the allocation of mining rewards (to themselves) from 13% to 75%....... You know...  For "research purposes"... Not because AE Team is greedy and is the only Token to steal funds from user's mining efforts.....

Its not like AE already has 45 Million AE Tokens in their possession/ not in the market supply!!!!!!!!!

On another note,  Why dont you just call the recent vote to skim 13% off of the top of all mining rewards exactly what it is... A 13% AE tax... At least you would be honest for once....

Excited about Mainnet?

Not sure what that really means since we have no reference on if/ when there is an expected [SPECIFIC] date on Mainnet launch, other than pointing to the vague pivotal tracker on an estimate. I cannot think of any other reputable coin/ token that has Not had a specific date in mind...

Are you looking at Mainnet Launch before end of the year, or Q1 of 2019?

Although I can see the team working hard, and we appreciate the constant interaction with the community via updates and conferences, I must say not having a hard date in mind/ having mainnet launch on-par with a moving target does not instill excitement (at least not for me).

I guess at this point, I'm at the "I'll believe it when I see it" mentality regarding mainnet.  Hopeful.... Yes... excited.... no..

Dear Aeternity Team,

Assuming no MAJOR issues and we stay relatively on track.  Is it fair to assume that mainnet will be launched before End of the year? (i.e. December 29, 2018)

I think this is a fair question.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] æternity blockchain ∞ AE TOKEN ∞ [PoW & PoS | Oracles | Smart Contracts] on: October 07, 2018, 09:55:59 PM
XTZ, a coin with a very shaky start has released their mainnet.  EOS released their mainnet.  aeternity project has been going on for an aeternity.  I understand you have a pivotal tracker and security audits to complete, but seriously.... You're not giving us a timeline at all (other than simply stating check out the pivotal tracker) as an answer?

Any project, no matter how big or complex (from soaring buildings and bridges spanning 2 countries) have an idea of projected launch/ end date.

Are you telling us, with everything and all of the work and all of the people and talks you constantly post on here, you still don't have an idea on launch?

As a community we understand delays happen, especially considering security, but as an investor, I think a lot of us are tired of referencing the pivotal tracker instead of giving us an actual date.  This project continues to be delayed regularly.

A sufficient and direct answer would be nice.

Thanks team..

Coinbase has stated they are looking at listing 37 Altcoin additions.

As of right this writing, AE is listed as #30.  In addition to BTC, BCH, ETH and LTC already listed on Coinbase, technically, AE should be a no brainer (for a multitude of reasons, including its current ranking).

While AE has a phenomenal team, is making great transaction, I However, doubt AE will be listed on Coinbase.

I know AE team is more concerned with substance/ launching great product, but it would be nice to see a movement of their marketing department in getting listed in the US market/ exchange.

Wanted to see if the team has had any communication with Coinbase or plans to?

Lessons from EOS.

EOS recently had their mainnet launch..   Unfortunately, they were unable to process their first block/ convert their tokens over as there were not enough people completing the token swap, so technically the mainnet has not live yet

Part of the reason is that people are afraid of being hacked or entering their private keys into the wrong website (bound to happen to some poor uninformed person regardless of the oversight).

How will AE execute their token swap to make sure there are no delays in the mainnet going live, when it is actually primed.    Also, my previous post above was not answered by AE team.

Please let us know.

AE is big on mobile mining.  With iPhone's stating no mining will be allowed (which is a big percentage of mobile users) how does/ will this affect AE?

I understand, expected and respect the delay in this project's projected 2nd quarter mainnet and 3rd quarter does look promising.   While getting the project right is more important than simply getting it out as fast as possible.  What steps (if any) are you taking into consideration to prevent another delay to 4th quarter (which I believe is a distinct and likely possibility).?

Thanks

With Q2 Nearing..  A steady flow of updates and announcements with no hints of a possible delay...  I'm must curious

How will the transition from AE tokens via cold storage (i.e. MEW paper wallets) does Aeternity team plan to implement to minimize or possibility of eliminating the loss of someones funds while completing the transfer (barring phishing scams).

I know you are working hard and steadily on all aspects for the much anticipated Launch date..  Just no word on a "rough draft" on how the transition from paper wallets to token will occur.

12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] æternity blockchain ∞ AE TOKEN ∞ [PoW & PoS | Oracles | Smart Contracts] on: January 28, 2018, 11:21:10 AM
My main question is: Why Cuckoo PoW instead of PoS? Ok it is a new type of PoW but... in any case PoS is better! You do not have to waste any hardware for getting coins!! It is true that PoS has some points to improve, but Cuckoo PoW is also experimental... so I do not get the point. In my opinion PoW is old and was chosen when Aeternity designed the ICO... the new projects are all born with PoS. The old projects that are able to migrate (such Ethereum) are also trying to migrate to PoS. So, in my opinion, the basis of Aeternity is not innovative by beginning, so the project is destined to fail cause does not offer new relevant features (as I posted in my first post). If somebody can refute this argue to me, I can reconsider my opinion about AE.

No one asked for your opinion, nor does anyone care.   Just because you invested heavily in XTZ and they will probably have nothing left after the class action lawsuits and attorney fees doesn't justify your need to FUD.  I don't think we care to convert a Tezos fanboy to AE.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] æternity blockchain ∞ AE TOKEN ∞ [PoW & PoS | Oracles | Smart Contracts] on: January 10, 2018, 04:05:40 AM
I'm not sure AE will reach $100 by the end of 2018..  But I certainly woudn't be surprised if it did (certainly would be happy).

Right now, I just look forward to my early Christmas present...  Mainnet Launch and all of the excitement, exchanges, talk/ buzz that will surround AE.  CAN-NOT-WAIT!!
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / AE Safety / General Crypto Coin Guidelines on: January 06, 2018, 08:01:59 PM
To ensure the security of your coins and tokens, I have created the best-practices guideline (if properly implemented) will minimize your vulnerability footprint.

1.   Do not invest more than you’re willing to lose.
2.   Do not keep coins on exchanges unless you are actively trading them
3.   Do not keep coins or wallets on any mobile devices as they are easily hacked
4.   Do not access your wallets, coins or bank accounts on any Public network (Too many man-in-the-middle attacks)
5.   Use a VPN service  (Top 2 =  PIA VPN and TorGuard)
4.   Avoid keeping coins or paper wallets on computers as they could also be compromised via various exploits (Please view Example #1 regarding wallet obfuscation)
a.   Recent Meltdown & Spectre Intel vulnerability means 98% of ALL computers/ servers are vulnerable.

5.   When creating a paper wallet make sure you only use the following sites below or a site you are 100% certain is legitimate (too many phishing sites out there)
a.   https://www.myetherwallet.com/#view-wallet-info
b.   https://www.bitaddress.org
c.   https://bitcoinpaperwallet.com/
i.   Make sure you bookmark trusted sites / do not continuously “Google” for wallets as you could be going to a scam site
ii.   When you are on a “trusted” site make sure not only to look for the green [SSL] padlock in your browser, but make sure that you click on the padlock and view information regarding the security certificate and who the issuing authority is.

6.   Paper Wallets are “burn-n-turn”.  Once you have unlocked it for any type of transfer (i.e. transferring to app or digital wallet) make sure NEVER re-use it.
7.   Be wary of coin forks as in some cases (i.e. Bitcoin Gold) a user can withdraw all of your coins using a replay attack.
a.   To retrieve coins from a forked wallet, move all funds to a new paper wallet.  Use the “old” wallet to try to retrieve the new forked coins, thereby preventing any replay attacks as your coins are in a new wallet.

8.   When sending coins, quadruple check the address (even if you copy and paste).  You can’t imagine the millions of dollars of locked-up coins because someone sent funds to either a wrong address, or sent Bitcoin coins to a Bitcoin Cash wallet.   Remember, once it is sent there is absolutely no way to retrieve it.
9.   Do not disclose to online how much coins you have.   People are murdered for few dollars alone.  If you have a sizeable amount, it might be worth the risk for a criminal.
10.   Make sure to have multiple backups of your private keys.  At least 3 on-site and one off-site in case of a fire or theft
a.   Might be a good idea to create a PGP public/private key pair and then encrypt your private key and email yourself as an alternative backup.

11.   Educate your significant other on how to retrieve the coins in the unlikely event of your death (maybe give your significant other 1/3 of the private key, your attorney another 1/3 and a trusted 3rd party another 3rd)   just a suggestion…
12.   Create 2 wallets for each coin in case you are forced to give up a private key under duress.
a.   Example you have a total of 10 BTC
i.   Keep 1 BTC on one wallet
ii.   The other 9 on another
iii.   If you are forced to reveal your private key, you would give up the wallet with the least amount.

13.   When printing out your wallet (or storing it on your computer) make sure to obfuscate the private key and delete the QR Code of the private key.  Below are the steps I would take if I owned Bitcoin as an example.

-------------------------------------------------------------

Example of Obfuscation:

1.   Think of word that is very memorable to you.  In this example I will use the word  Bobby       (We will call this my secret key)
2.   I would go to https://www.bitaddress.org
a.   Follow steps to generate address
3.   This example the bitcoin address created is:
a.   14V1pAf2XLPu5K1gvKn3Q6DLcANLguuSxe
4.   Corresponding bitcoin private key is:
a.   L4S2Gn9vqk2d9F7B7utirKKcwrs6ev2RbFNZbgH1EXgFZyfxpzmN

Unfortunately, there are no letters or numbers that correspond to my secret key.  I would then continuously click on the “Generate New Address” button on the top left to generate new keys until I found a Private key that includes my secret key (Bobby)

This may take lots of attempts, but I found one close in this particular example.

Public Address:   1AmCCwwdZrbD18RguxPSykZNFSC2CpBbqL

Private Key:  L41RdYAS53B6s2cSadhKEDoBhK2P2SeDFF4fxbbAanz4C4VoX51i

You would then replace the letters B-o-b-b-i with asterisks like this below:

O-Private Key:  L41RdYAS53*6s2cSadhKED*BhK2P2SeDFF4fx**Aanz4C4VoX51*

Finally, you would add some additional characters and words to the beginning (possible middle) and end to make sure you secure your keys substantially.  (make sure to complete this next step as it would NOT be difficult to brute force the original private key if it is missing only a few letters)

Final Key:   Exam*L41RdYAS53*6s2cSadhKED*BhK2P2SeDFF4fx**Aanz4C4VoX51*Test*

Using the Final Key as an example, it would be very difficult to brute force this as the attacker would not know where the start or ending would be not to mention the extra asterisks.   Obviously the “Exam*” in the beginning and “Test*” is just so you see what I am doing.  In reality you would make sure it would be more complex.

At the end of the day, you are the protector of you wallet.  If you are a victim of a phishing site or don’t regard security highly you are making yourself a more enticing target.  The responsible actions you take will help protect you in the dangerous crypto world..  Where millions of dollars are made every day and millions are stolen every day.

Just wondering if the dev has requested aeternity to be added at binance during Community Coin of the Month #R5.

https://support.binance.com/hc/en-us/articles/115003646731-Community-Coin-of-the-Month-Round-5

No they haven't/ they won't until they have a product aka Mainnet Launch.   So no push on exchanges by the team until Q2 of Mainnet in 2018.

Thanks for for the answer but are you sure that they will not push/apply for a new listing until the mainnet of aeternity is launched?

Yes, this is mainly for legal/ compliance in the original country AE was founded (Lichtenstein).  As a result, they are not allowed to push for listings on exchanges.  They are also not allowed to discuss partnerships unless they are finalized after working product.

So the good news is... after mainnet launch, they may have exchanges lined up along with partnerships they could announce.  I'm not 100% certain on this, but I certainly wouldn't be surprised.

Moral of the story:   Hodl!

I sold my AE tokens long time ago and to be honest I'm more than happy, because now they got a serious problems with mainnet launching.

What serious problem(s) you are talking about? Hopefully, you didn't sell your token at a loss because soon aeternity is going to sky-rocket.

No serious problems....  Either he is just fudding around, or he sold his AE too early just to see it climbing up as we close in on the mainnet.

Dude Aeternity main network will launch on the Quarter 1 of 2018 but theirs no specific exact date when that happens. Grin
i am just afraid that the market cool down when the main network launched, then we may not share the profit when the whole market rising
I doubt that we will see a mainnet launch in 2018....

No point in listing ae TOKENS when they will have a COIN in the next few months.  AE Team is adamant about getting their product and app ecosystem working before launching full scale marketing for their COIN (not just another (Ether token).  While some may disagree with this process, it is the route they are taking and will provide stability to the project as a whole.

We all want to make lambo-money, but AE is doing everything they can from preventing unnecessary pumps and have real-tangible product behind price increases.
