21  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🏀 🏒 Over 1.2 BTC on NBAxNHL Promos-- All Playoffs Long! 🏀 🏒 on: May 10, 2018, 03:50:52 PM

If your country is banned but the people from there are allowed by Nitrogensports to access their website with a VPN, then would it not be contrary to the ban?

Also it is the cheaters who use VPNs. I reckon it would be better to ban VPNs, proxies and others. There should only be one IP for one user allowed to access a gambling site. That should be a special rule.

While I can understand some of the points you bring up (using a VPN allows people to get around country restrictions which probably isn't what Nitrogen wants), the latter comments you made are fairly ignorant to be quite honest.

I'm not attempting to make assumptions about your lifestyle, but some of us (like me) have a life where we travel, go to work, like to visit different parts of our city, countries, etc. You've never logged into Nitrogen Sports from your phone while on the go or while connected to a public wifi hotspot (which you really should only be doing with a VPN unless you enjoy getting your information stolen)? Or maybe you go to school or work and you've logged in via your internet there? Guessing these all are different IPs, right?

There are plenty of legitimate reasons for having different IPs in accessing any site, not just a gambling site. Unless you live in a box (that has internet) and you never leave to do anything else. Ever. Who does that, haha?

That's the challenge Nitrogen's fraud team has - a simple blanket ban of any user who uses multiple IPs would probably eliminate the VAST majority of their clientele. Wrongly, might I add. But yes, I'm sure people try to use multiple IPs/VPNs to defraud Nitrogen, but that's almost certainly not the only thing they do. Think about it.

does somebody know a fantasy draft website who accept bitcoin please.

Best regards

You mean like a Daily Fantasy Sports site like DraftKings or FanDuel, but that also accepts deposits and withdrawals in bitcoin in addition to fiat? I know of at least one, but not sure what you are looking for...

To those who are participating in the Nitrogen March Madness bracket, we unfortunately had to take it down shortly after launch. We have since reinstated it, but the bracket will only recognize entries and picks made prior to take down.

Check your bracket here

If you wish to see the status of your bracket entries, please input only your Nitrogen account # to the field listed on the March Madness bracket page. We recognize this is not an ideal scenario, but we wanted to ensure the ultimate survival of the bracket with the honest entries we had prior. It's awful that a few had to ruin a good thing for everyone.

You are implying that the failure of that promo was due to users acting poorly.  That's the first I'm hearing of this (I have heard that you were using an outdated service and that was the cause of the issue).  What is the full story?

Any response to my question or are you going to go full Betcoin and just make up things that make you look good and refuse to discuss those things when asked to clarify?

Hey DarkDays,

We apologize for the late reply. While most applicants entered the bracket in good faith and followed Nitrogen's "one account per household" rule, others did not and we decided that it was only fair to those who entered in good faith to close entries early. We understand there were people who may have wanted to enter later but didn't get the chance to. For that we apologize.

-Jason

Yeah, pretty bummed since I didn't get to enter a bracket with Nitrogen since I was waiting on the Wednesday's games to finish. At least I still got to enter my brackets through promos with other sites (though they aren't doing very well, haha). At least Nitrogen is offering some other MM promos.

Other places are running Sweet 16 (second chance) MM bracket contests that start tomorrow (Thursday). Would have been cool if Nitrogen did this as well given the original MM hiccup, but oh well.

Seems very likely that it's the IP flagging issue as mentioned previously in the thread as to why roll rewards have been cut in half. I contacted wetsuit + Myfe and actually like within one hour I received an email saying my account at Freebitco.in is now whitelisted and apologies for any inconvenience. And my roll bonus resumed to normal amounts.

The email:
"Your account at FreeBitco.in has been whitelisted and you should not get any further 'blocked IP' messages. We apologise for the inconvenience caused and hope you continue to roll and win with us!

Kind Regards,
FreeBitco.in"
How did you contact them?

I have some referrals with the same problem and until now I am telling them to be patient, but if it is necessary to contact support I will tel them.

My intention was to avoid the increase of support tickets but since Mefe and Wetsuit are offline from this topic... :\

I just simply sent them a PM here in bitcointalk - one each to Myfe and wetsuit. Not sure which of them ultimately addressed my issue, but it was taken care of SUPER quickly. Much appreciated.

Yeah, I've sent them emails to their support in the past, they almost never get responded to. To be fair, they do say they don't respond to most of them unless it's a unique issue that's not addressed on their FAQ (though even if they are unique, I feel I never get a response anyways).

We got another March Madness special: the first-ever Nitrogen Sports Bracket!

We're giving away a total of 0.5 BTC credit in this one!

Yeah, pretty bummed I couldn't get my bracket in with Nitrogen. Been waiting since yesterday. Not sure what they can do about it now that the tourney has already started...unless they decide to run it for the round of 32 starting 3/17 instead?

Guess it must feel pretty good to be one of the people who got the bracket in in time -> doubt there were many entries as most people were waiting closer to the start of the actual tourney, like me.
28  Economy / Services / Re: [50$ Bounty] Nike Air Vapormax Plus - Need someone from the U.S/Austria on: March 06, 2018, 08:26:06 AM
I'm using a Reship company so I need someone to get me the shoes from either Austria or the U.S so he can ship them to the company.

Footlocker: https://www.footlocker.com/product/model:288527/sku:24453004/nike-air-vapormax-plus-mens/black/black/
FootAction: https://www.footaction.com/product/model:288527/nike-air-vapormax-plus-mens#sku=24453004&size=08.0
Sneakers: Nike Air Vapormax Plus
Color: Black
Size: 8

I believe these are available but must be picked from the store and I can't do that because once again, I'm not located in the U.S.

You may need to buy the shoes for me and then ship them to my Reship company so what I'm offering is to pay the shoes + the shipping obviously and give you an additional 25$ (negotiable) for your efforts. I don't mind using an escrow. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

Sent you a PM

Contact support, they are better equipped to help you out as opposed to here on forums (even though that's the knee-jerk reaction for pretty much all crypto players)

Sure, I can definitely contact support. I only posted here first because it seems DarkStar_ posted about another withdrawal issue here on the forums not too long ago and you were kind enough to help DarkStar_ out with it and respond to his/her concerns, so I figured I'd do the same here.

I keep reading but don't see anything decent. If anyone senior sees anything I am missing out here please let me know

No worries, thanks for considering me! Though not ALL my posts are about gambling, heh. Like this one!

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3021933.msg31084755#msg31084755

I guess a key distinction I'm wondering is if you really aren't finding any "constructive and relevant posts" as stated in your original challenge request or is it more the necessity of finding quality posts that are ALSO of personal interest to you? Your response to my post made me think it was more the latter than the former, but I could be mistaken. It's also your challenge after all so it's completely up to your discretion.

I only ask because at least one other member has a similar challenge, but requires that the posts be about his/her particular areas of interest. Not sure if that's what you ultimately wanted in your own.
33  Economy / Gambling / Re: BitcoinRush.io - Bitcoin Sportsbook, and Casino (Lower Minimum Wager Amounts) on: March 04, 2018, 08:41:32 AM

Thank you both dhamijad and DarkStar_

You're both correct in the fact that this was a rounding issue, and a short-term fix has been applied, we will be making a more strategic fix in our next release which goes live next week.

As per our policy, we have also added a bounty to DarkStar_'s account on BitcoinRush.io He can choose to cash this out immediately with no restrictions, or use it in the Sportsbook or Casino.

I don't know if this is similar to the rounding error alluded to a little while ago, but I withdrew my remaining balance recently (for 0.02055 BTC), which was approved:

https://imgur.com/a/wB78u

However, what was actually sent to my withdrawal address (and therefore the amount I actually received) was less than that:

https://imgur.com/a/IyIL7

What happened? My current balance in BCR is 0. Not sure if this was intentional or a glitch - didn't see anywhere in the ToS or elsewhere that transaction fees were being passed on to users. My last deposit was less than three months ago as well, so it's my understanding that I don't have any withdrawal limits/restrictions on my account.

Please advise. Thanks!
34  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Oscar Awards 2018 Betting on: March 04, 2018, 06:49:05 AM

And now I can't even access the site, getting this: 502 Bad Gateway. Thay blocked me right after my registration. Smiley

I'm not mad. This is funny actually. Maybe there are too many hackers in the area where I live, so they have to block the whole area. Smiley

Anyway, I think I will try to bet on Oscars next year. Thanks for your help though.

Ah man, sorry to hear that! You really exhausted like every SINGLE option, haha. Next year!
35  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports betting Strategy -> Betting early vs. late on: March 04, 2018, 06:43:55 AM

Most bookmakers wait for Pinnacle to open their lines. Once Pinnacle have opened their lines, the sharpest punters will correct the wrong prices by betting on them (it usually takes a few minutes only, they are "professionals" after all). Once the lines are corrected to a more accurate prices, the rest of the industry will open the lines at a similar price to Pinnacle (but adding a bigger margin).

The only bookmakers I know which open the lines before Pinnacle, are Marathonbet and 1xbet, they offer crazy value early on but will limit your accounts very quickly if you win (Marathonbet do pay the winners though, but I would never recommend 1xbet, they will do their best not to pay you, absolutely not to be trusted).

Didn't realize that other sportsbooks waited for Pinnacle to open their lines. Makes sense now as I always hear about other people comparing/modeling their data in regards to Pinnacle's lines -> they must have some of the most accurate ones overall. Thanks for sharing.

And that picture you showed, lol. Yeah, people are all over those lines within MINUTES.
36  Economy / Gambling / Re: Anonymous Daily Fantasy Sports w/ Crypto? on: March 04, 2018, 06:29:58 AM
Absolutely!

Preliminary thoughts are reduced rake, a focus on larger % of players winning, single entry tournaments and a social live chat. A few different bonus types, referral bonus, exclusive freerolls to early adopters/ for special events etc.

We are also considering offering incentive to early adopters in the form of dividend payouts, or an opportunity to buy in to part of the company. This will be done to gauge interest and would take a crowdfunding approach, using either a smart contract or escrow service. The thinking is if the user base has a vested interest, they would be willing to spread the word to friends etc.

Ideally, we just want to offer a great product, with a focus on transparency.

Thanks for sharing. I think you highlighted some pretty good points. A social live chat would definitely be fun to root for (or against) other people's lineups. I think FanDuel or Draftkings offered it a LOONG time ago, not sure why they discontinued it. Sports, DFS, betting all are experiences that are enhanced by sharing it with others, especially in real-time.

Please keep us posted. Sounds great!
37  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win free Bitcoins every hour! on: March 02, 2018, 09:13:28 AM
Unless you get very lucky with the faucet, most people aren't getting lots of satoshi's from that avenue. Saving up RP to buy RP boosters and subsequently "Free BTC Bonus" boosters though...

...now that's a different story.
38  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Oscar Awards 2018 Betting on: March 02, 2018, 09:01:38 AM

So, the question remains open for me. Where can I bet on Oscars 2018 with BTC?

Hm, so Bovada/Nitrogen don't work for you and you don't trust BetOnline. Consider 5Dimes (use bitcoin only, they've had issues with CC fraud in the past), Bookmaker, Heritage, Intertops, MyBookie, Sportsbook, BetDSI, and TopBet. Someone mentioned that list to me and I think they all have the Oscars. 5Dimes, Bookmaker, Heritage are probably your best options.

@bbc.reporter - Nitrogen Sports actually doesn't allow bettors from certain countries. I think the list is always changing, but it is something like Russia, Ukraine, Costa Rica, Brazil, UK and Greece.
39  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports betting Strategy -> Betting early vs. late on: March 02, 2018, 08:48:52 AM
@reactorjuno - thanks for sharing that article. Yeah, betting the closing line in a consistent and significant fashion really isn't that easy to do, haha. Guess that's why most bettors are - ROI over the long-term.

@BoltBrownie - sounds like you are pretty good at live betting. Unfortunately, that really is one of my greatest weaknesses. Any particular strategies you use when betting live that you care to share?

To flip it around, how about you tell us what YOU are considering? Then we can share out thoughts on that,  Smiley
