561  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Crypto trading simulator on: February 17, 2020, 04:25:14 PM

Safe ba ito? I mean ang .app is sobrang secured na good for applications na kahit anong genre (mostly educational), at may SSL certifications naman siya. But then minsan kasi ang nakakatakot sa pagsisign-in ng Facebook Accounts sa ibang websites.

Pero to be honest ang ganda nito. Triny ko ito kanina lang and it is somehow a good simulation pero ang hirap kasi ang laki ng perang iniinvest nila at live yung chart nila like for everyseconds updated ata kasi animated pero di kasi realistic sa kung paano mo makikita ang mga graphs ng price at volume sa karamihan ng mga trading platform na mayroon ngayon. Thumbs up sa gumawa nito btw.
562  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Just because a user has Trust on another website does not make them trusted here on: February 17, 2020, 01:28:37 PM
I see this everyday on the currency exchange threads! (Mostly newb and brand new accounts trying to scam I ASSUME)
~
I KiND OF STRAYED AWAY FROM WHAT I WAS GETTING AT HERE BUT ANYWAYS ALWAYS CHECK THE LINKS OF EVERY TRADE. AND ALWAYS CHECK THE TRUST FROM OTHER USERS LEFT AS IT CAN ALWAYS BE A SCAMMER LEAVING A + TRUST ON HIS MAIN SCAMMING ACCOUNT!

Have fun and happy trading!

This post isn't necessary for this section (Beginners and help) as you only tell subjectively your own experiences and even generalized that scams are mostly made by newbies and brand new accounts on the forum. If you ever found one, better report it to the moderator instead or if ever it isn't a user but only someone is promoting such scams on different platform especially telegram, better make a thread to Scam Accusations.

But then again, to all whom are reading this thread. Just be aware and never trust easily. No scammed people = no scam at all.
563  Other / Meta / Re: Account Recovery on: February 16, 2020, 10:57:59 PM
Is it possible to recover a permanently banned account (for whatever reasons) on bitcointalk forum? Actually one of my friend is facing this problem. He said that he didn't do anything wrong, but participating in different bounty programs. And suddenly one day his account was banned by some moderator. Now he want to know if there is any way to restore his account? Someone told him to buy copper membership but he is not sure. Please share your fruitful thoughts. It will be really helpful. Thanks

As long he didn't disobeyed any Forum's rules and regulations, it can be recovered. BUT if ever the management found out that he is banned and created another account and continue using it, the new account might be banned as well as it is ban evasion in which is also prohibited in the forum.

And if ever that you are "your friend" talking to a third person, it might still be considered as ur new account evading your ban.

I personally recommend Kali Linux for intermediate users na maalam sa computers dahil good to for ethical hackers and syempre enhanced din by them.

565  Other / Meta / Re: Do we need merit sources for low ranks? on: February 14, 2020, 08:48:57 AM
Forcing a merit source to merit only specific ranks is counter-productive and which is why I think such a idea would not be followed up.

A merit source's job is to go through posts and merit those that are worth their time and having something substantial to talk about. If you force them to only merit certain ranks then they would have a hard time completing their merit quota or end up diving the distribution of merit in a wrong way if the ranks being talked about start spamming meta with their "Give me merit but I dont ask for it" threads - which I am sure almost every other older member here has seen and become sick of reading.
I don’t think we really need to specifically have merit sourced focused on specific ranks, but sometimes new merit sources will bring diversity in terms of rewarding, and the more eyes on the field the better I figure (but again, not specifically with a rank-based focus).
Indeed. It would be too subjective and would not be that effective. Giving merits can also be a person's reputation, as if one give merits to a non-sense post do somehow also means that he/she tolerate such actions. Also, having many trusted users to give merit to threads/posts or users they think worth and deserve the merit would just be messy and somehow useless as there were in fact a variation of different user's perspective on what is a useful post, a helpful and informative post, or even a funny one.

Low-ranks, even I myself, must not focus on gaining merit. But instead achieve greater and useful ideas by continue doubting and looking for a new knowledge to be further explored.
566  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [GUIDE] A good post/reply and formatting on: February 14, 2020, 06:49:51 AM
I guess the OP didn't include both underlining and literally highlighted texts as it is somehow the same size and seems to not calls off attention as much as his tips did, because even I myself don't see underlining being worth to have enough attention especially if the post/replies were too long and the subject or idea to be embossed is in the middle of the context.

I also see that the OP's tips is mostly used in formats in the world of Academe/Universities, as it offers not to be so simple and not to be exaggerated at the same time.
I don't think words in italic are more visible than underlined ones. So I'm not sure you're right to assume that's for this reason. Moreover underlined sentences are often used in titles, even in academic articles.

Maybe we just lived on different perspective having different stand on what gives us more attention to a certain formatting.

But with thorough searching I've found an article that might help the OP and other users here in forum that contains the good formatting between the bold, capitalized, underlined, and italicized on a good reading for web content.

Bold, Italics and Underlines: How to Use Them Effectively?

And as stated in that article, underlines are only better for Links and SEO optimizations.

Indeed. Glad we had the same perspective.

Iba parin talaga ung all-around ung knowledge mo sa programming or development in general.

Ang hirap din talagang magpaka-all-around ka sa lawak ng fields ng IT kaya I do suggest na if programming yung focus ng tao is yun lang pag-aralan niya. opportunities are better on those who are the master of their own skills.
568  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [GUIDE] A good post/reply and formatting on: February 14, 2020, 04:13:23 AM
HERE ARE TIPS FOR A GOOD FORMAT OF POST
TIP #1 USE BOLD CHARACTERS - Use bold characters for important ideas and mostly main subjects such as what you have seen in this posts.

TIP #2 USE ITALICIZED CHARACTERS - Use italicized words/phrases/sentences for supporting ideas. It is commonly good for ideas that is most likely required a highlight, but not of too much highlight.

TIP #3 USE BIGGER FONTS OR CAPITALIZED CHARACTERS - Use bigger fonts if and only if it is either a title, a greeting, or a necessary message that requires bigger amount of attention than the other content of your posts. Capitalized characters are best used for ideas that can be the same font as the explanation but is much important than them.

TIP #4 USE ONLY 3 FONT COLOR/SIZES AND LESS - Using of exaggerated font colors is irritating to the eye. Even exaggeration of bold characters are already unpleasing. Use basic colors such as gray, red, and blue (disregard the black as it is the default and standard font color). Also have 3 font sizes to use, one for the title/header, one for the subject title, and one is for the explanation and supporting ideas.
Why don't you say anything about underlining? Are you against it?
I'm sorry but it's more pleasant to read an underlined sentence or even a highlighted one in reverse video style than reading a whole sentence written in capital letters.  Undecided

569  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Mga Mungkahing Terminong Dapat Nating Malaman Kaugnay sa Seguridad on: February 13, 2020, 03:02:41 AM
....

570  Other / Meta / Re: Is it possible to re-create threads without permission on: February 12, 2020, 09:44:50 PM
I have found few threads that are not updating as they should be because of the in-active OP of those threads. So I'm asking here, can we publish a new thread where we re-post those threads text/designs and starts updating them on a daily basis.

One example here; 🔥🔥🔥★OVERVIEW OF SERVICES★🔥🔥🔥

I guess the OP was just recently busy. His last activity/post was way back Nov. 2019 and his last day of active is January 06 of this year.
He also mentioned that he will be busy (from his last reply on that thread):
Quote from: 0t3p0t
Sorry for the inconvenience mate as i only have limited time for now. This thread will be updated as soon as i have time.

Hence, as long as he has granted your permission to continue the thread, you can. But then, copying the idea of that thread is somehow plagiarism and stealing of one's intellectual property. Better to search or find new ideas of threads while waiting. And if ever you really want to push urself posting the same thread idea, make sure to paraphrase and properly cite your source. But then again, better not to do it without any further permission with the original content creator. Because, who the hell wants to have his idea being used and stolen wihtout any consent right?
571  Other / Meta / Re: BitcoinTalk can become the facebook of money on: February 12, 2020, 07:38:56 PM
Perhaps what is missing in this forum is a section for proposals, if it exists already I haven't seen it.

This META section is ALREADY the board for suggestions and proposals. But then, for being 4 years here in forum, haven't you noticed most suggestions are entertained in this section?

OK lets break down your suggestions:

... a section for proposals...
Those proposals will help this site to become better and provide better service to its users.
 • Already answered, this meta is used for mostly serious forum discussions. Explicitly stated "Discussion about the Bitcoin Forum.". Hence, can contain suggestions.

Dissemination of information is a good idea! a lot of people is in the need to find practical and useful information to have it ready without having to spend a lot of time searching here and there. That would be a good feature to start with.
 • Beginners and Help can also be a section of updated news. Even local boards do contain such off-topic to Bitcoin and crypto but still were posted. What information to disseminate to be exact? There's a lot of types of information (political, social, personal, even tragic events can be an information) IN WHICH, can be found on various boards in here. Though it might be scattered, the boards would still focus and were categorized on what the user wants to see. Hence, one visits a board depending on his necessity.

Courses are a good idea too, so there is a lot to do in terms of improvements.
 • It is too freakin ugly to make this forum an online school platform. This is for the Bitcoin and cryptocurrency, not for students who wants to both make school assignments and earn here.

Though you might find it a good idea, always keep in mind that this forum was made only for the cryptocurrency and digital money improvement. Not to be a server of the whole internet and be a platform of all informations to be found around the whole world.

This is a forum, not a social media website where teenagers post photos to get likes and comments.
Spot on, and sadly it isn't just teenagers who are using social media sites like Facebook.  Seems like everyone is on it these days, and that's scary to me.

LOL browsing on facebook and being added by old-aged people and even families are nightmare. It is indeed scary to see their personal life and they think having public attention is good.
572  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Coins.ph and other crypto app/wallet scams on: February 12, 2020, 06:20:26 PM

I'm not the OP pero much better kung ipakita mo nga ito or simply report nalang din sa coins about this issue may customer support naman sila sa app nila (which is ginawa ko na).

Pero in the end, coinsph padin yung original para sakin despite the fact na mas naunang idea is yung gcash. But then, magkaiba sila ng focus, in which ang GCash is for online payment talaga, and ang Coins.ph is for cryptocurrency. History based on GCash and Coins.ph.

573  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Leave gambling, if it destroys you. on: February 12, 2020, 09:54:49 AM
There are many ways to have a good gambling life. People often intend to gamble due to its satisfaction and an endless eagerness to win bigger. I mean, who doesn't want to have huge amount of money made from fun and satisfying activities? But in the end, it just gambles your life and your time.

For me a good mindset is to stop whenever you either lose or win. Stop when you took one bet and win/lose. It will just drive your ego more if you continue doing so.

If you are not financially capable never enter gambling, if you plan to borrow money just for gambling stuff, that is the biggest mistake of your life unless you are super lucky and hit a jackpot that happens once in a blue moon. Do gambling if you have extra money apart from your savings, of course, don't bet your life savings or it is the end.  Cheesy That is why there are broken families, the head of the family is a failure not able to get away from gambling addiction.

sometimes it wasn't just on the head of the family, but also how the family or the relationship was handled at first. If the heads are disciplined or took every instance of disciplinary action before it gets worse, nothing bad would happen. Hence, even addicts cou change, but it would depend on who and how he will be changed.
574  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which is easier, stop when you are winning or stop when you are losing? on: February 10, 2020, 11:23:50 PM
I like to know your opinion about the question because I believe every gambler has a different way of managing himself.

My answer to the question is I can easily stop when I am winning because I am afraid I might end up with nothing since I know to myself that I am not yet consistent enough to win in gambling, however, based on my experience, I can't easily stop when I am losing despite the fact that I already set up a limit to gamble in a certain day or a certain session.

Do we have the same attitude or not?

We indeed could not stop gambling everytime we lose. It's like being on an endless discomfort and missatisfaction whenever we lose, ending up we bet and play more. It is a good practice to stop whenever you are winning. You already testedbyour luck and hitting it at once doesn't mean you would be lucky for the whole day. As they say, one is enough,  two is too much.

From my experience I find it easier to stop while losing already rather than keep on playing after a win, and this is the case no matter what game I play, as it seems that as soon as I got a win I can happily go away for a while but when I lose constantly its frustrating to see how easily you lose everything. So, I suppose there's some sort of control when to stop.

But some mindset differs from the others. Maybe you find losing as your limit and be satisfied that you aren't lucky whenever you lose. But surely, most of gamblers that won and had a lot of experience losing would find it hard resisting the chances of winning. That's why even you often win, becoming an addict would just make you lose uour time in life in the end.
575  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Photo editing Service (using LRcc and Snapseed) payment: Bitcoin or PHP on: February 08, 2020, 07:08:14 PM
I'm searching for a way to earn money by this talent of mine (photo editing), and I wanted to start here hoping there are some of you guys here wanted to make their photos in another level of attraction......

Try studying Adobe Photoshop sir. Medyo madami na din kasi ang marunong mag Lightroom and Snapseed sa phone, even those whom aren't onto photography is kayang matuto nang madalian. Also, learning is not that bad right. Lalo na kung freelancer ka din, at least (maipapayo ko lang), is use not only photo-enhancing programs, but somehow make your own design and art such as photomanipulation and recolorization of photos. Try to explore sir. There's a huge opportunity ngayon sa mundo ng multimedia and arts!
576  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: nCOV(Corona Virus) at Cryptocurrency on: February 08, 2020, 03:15:15 PM

Try mo ding lagyan ng return or reset button. Basically for single use lang yung nagawa mo but still maganda padin siya.

Keep it up kababayan!
578  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Poll - How did you find out about Bitcointalk? on: February 08, 2020, 06:34:18 AM
What was the reference driver (source, not motive) that drove you to Bitcointalk?

My friend told me this site years back then. It was just when the time I do need a part-time job to at least somehow fulfill my necessities, as I spend too much at my teenage years. Well, Bitcointalk went from gold onto diamond.

Gold, back when the days that knowledge are unlimited as doubts continues to grows in every aspect and sides of both technology and cryptocurrency, and as money comes with the hardwork here in forum when signature campaigns are legitimate and high-paying.

Now diamond, as everything turns the opposite. One must really need to work hard to reach the top or dig the deepest hole of the diamond mining, then a little salary would be better than having nothing, and whereas the knowledge and threads are repetitive and most doubts had been answered.
579  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Apart from AIRDROPS AND Bounties, Are there other ways to OWN cryptocurrecies. on: February 06, 2020, 04:43:58 AM
What about yours?

There are a lot of ways to earn cryptocurrencies. But the best way is convert your fiat and invest onto a crypto you think you could trust and will be good for the long run. Giveaways isn't as good as investing as it depends on the project's success and outcome, in which most projects had failed in the end and some turned to be scam. Therefore, giveaways such as airdrops and bounties IS NOT owning any crypto, its more likely to be HOLDING some project's promise.
580  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbies attention. Don't get trap yourself with greed. on: February 06, 2020, 02:16:10 AM
Note: You can think it is legit by seeing the number of online users. But nop it is not. Maybe they showing the fake numbers or most of them are alt/involved with.

You can see if it is a fake platform by checking its domain registration and IP address used by using IPInfo.info. Simply check for the domain's credibility and company ownership. Though many can fake those, still, trusting such online platforms is risky, especially transacting from Telegram.

Also, paying a person to transact isn't preferable in any aspect, at all. There are a lot of wallets and exchanges that requires fees and that must be enough. There is also no exact amount for any online transactions as it depends on how much you would transact. If ever it is a tech support, they are not supposed to have separate payments, as they already have salary to the company they belong.
