Nowadays even big exchanges are being threatened by hacks and ridiculous security filters that affects first time traders or just to exchange their normal coins. And worse with their customer support adds to the burden. Just always trade with caution and with extreme volatility you should check the volume to have safety nets.

You could also add on the first part why you have picked the certain project in the first place. Hoping you could do more and make it better as you go along.

What we're doing in investing in ICO is called speculative analysis as the product is to be tested yet so we know that this is the highest risk along with fundamental and technical approaches. Ofcourse if the risk is high there's also a higher chance of it to gain much profit. To be safe as always invest what you can afford to lose. Alot of booming ICO can be off with a good $200-300 start of investment and would still gather alot of gains. So invest wisely and learn from the loss along the way if there'll be.

Hardware wallets are the straigtforward option but you should take into consideration the amount you store. Also you need to have backups for your private keys that are offline or encrypted online. Right now I couldnt suggest one. but in case you would like to access if anywhere and anytime I think this is a good way and like they said never ever store it in online exchanges.
