I definitely know what the OP is alluding to. In the past I have maybe spent more using crypto than I would on certain purchases with fiat. When you see 0.01BTC vs $570 it does feel like you’re spending less. It’s kind of a detached from reality feeling. We must try to stop doing this though as Bitcoin increases in value over time. It can be even worse if you look at how much Bitcoin you spent for example 6 years ago.
I'm still suffering from this digital effect when it comes to spending in general. Mine is not only specific to crypto but online payment in general. I have no problem spending huge amount online through mobile transfer but I will have problem spending same amount with cash. I do feel spending extravagant whenever I'm dealing with cash but will spend much more than that with any form of digital payment without feeling disturbed. Probably, this happens simply because there's no tangible value but a mere digit in wallet/account and fiat give a grasp of actual value. Going through my transaction history sometimes, it is not possible for me to have spent such amount if I should be holding cash. my problem is specific with in crypto payment, but even i hesitate to transfer big amount of money in online like my local currency, it seems much valuable to me before make it, it can be online (local currency) or cash money, but which amount is nothing for pay via cryptocurrency. it's might be crypto is not our local currency and earning in online so we also feel comfort to spending in online. |

Problems of wealthy people would really be that most likely be on health matters or other things which cant be bought by money like love, family, respect, time or similar things to this.

Another instance is the airdrop fever, the airdrop have been ongoing for years now but social media through telegram and Ton blockchain has caused a mass participation of airdrops lately compared to previous times and to crown it all, telegram which is one of the biggest social media platform have even got their own exchange and wallet where it's users can easily purchase Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. I don't participate in airdrops and I don't care about shitcoins. Everyone wants to get something valuable for free, but life doesn't work that way. Getting worthless shitcoins via airdrops seems pathetic to me. I would rather do some actual work and get real money in return. Social media has influenced almost everything in the human civilization during the last 15 years. The influence was both positive and negative. The crypto world wasn't living in an isolated island, so it's normal to be influenced by the social media during the last several years. may be you have good earning source in online or offline, so you don't need to earn by participating in airdrops, but who have no enough skill like you, they always try to earn money in any way like airdrops, bounties or other ways, now time is for telegram airdrops so everyone try to make some money without any cost, airdrop coins might be shitcoins but they are paying and you can sell it. |

Well first thing, I will lose my job, I work on blockchain industry, and as freelance most of my client also from blockchain Industry. I will need to find a local job with low salary definitely. I don't have much portfolio on crypto but still I will lose some money. But the certain thing is I will get any job that I can, and I think there is also many people who will lose their job so the competition will be tight and fierce, I am not sure what will happened next, but surely I will be depressed for a few days.

I don't know about your view but the truth is that in my part of the world inflation is bitting really hard and as a consequence people are finding it hard to provide healthy three square meal, pay tuition fees and utility bills (some have dropout while others homeless), or even affording the basic necessities of life entirely without milking themselves, it was this bad when I was growing up as a little boy. Times have really changed.
I think the economy have become worse than how it was some years back because of so many challenges. Just some few years ago the world was combating pandemic which many are trying to recover from it. The pandemic disrupted so many activities which affected the economy so much because of the lookdown. Some policies of the monetary system have also affected the economy, wars and conflict have also play a role for this hard time we experience today. The politicians we have today are different from the ones we had before now, people who want to be in power for their own selfish interests but not for the interest of the people. Change is just the reason why we face difficult time in this modern day, i just hope everything change just like how it was before. The Covid pandemic is not the only pandemic the world has ever experienced, there have been many pandemics that caused much greater loss and damage in the past. Also, things take time to recover and grow, we were worse in 2022 but things are slowly getting much more stable. So to say that things are worse than before is too hasty, I don't think that's true. but convid-19 pandemic was destructive, my country has not faced such problems in the past few years, still people can not recover their losses in the covid-19, many businesses have been damaged, they have not yet fully recovered from the loss and many have lost their homes, and many have not been able to repay their loan, personally i am lost big thing still i have to pay for that. |

I'd say it's like 200 million active users. And of those a 10% might be crypto interested. Seeing the "mass" adaption of wallets more like 5% but ok.

Printing money & providing stimulus is not helpful because it drives inflation out of control. Look what happened after COVID money printing, we all get lumped with the costs of everything sky rocketing. Money printing & stimulus is a terrible thing.

Usually the problems you have in mind is not about the country lacking money, it is a bout the government lacking money. It is called budget deficit which they try to cover by increasing taxes, printing more money, etc.
The solution is not this but a much simpler thing. The government has to cut its costs and by reducing that they can close the gap.
Some governments like the one in my country would rather increase taxes and print more money, and demand loans from other countries or financial bodies than cut their cost. In my country for instance, were politicians are earning ridiculous amount of money, it has remained their motivation to remain in power. Politicians here do not care about budget deficits, they know the solution and ways to solve financial problems, but because of corruption and focus on personal gains they ignore it. The citizens are the ones who suffer the economic hardship. the government of my country is moving in almost the same way, government think that there is no other way to deal with economic crisis of the country, so they continuously printing money and increased taxes in every sector, because the government has a foreign loan is 129,000 crore currently, mostly politicians are corrupted, they don't care about country's economic condition is good or bad, they money laundering in abroad. |
