1  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Looking for advice on repair kit for S17, T17 and other miners on: March 22, 2021, 01:53:13 AM
Thanks Mikeywith.

The Russian one you posted looks more robust. Have you personally used it or know people who have used in the past compared to the zeus makeshift one?

Price is definitely very high but if the Russian device does the job then I guess its completely worth it.
2  Bitcoin / Mining support / Looking for advice on repair kit for S17, T17 and other miners on: March 21, 2021, 07:07:06 PM
Hi Folks,

I am looking for advice on various repair kits and equipment needed to repair the hashboards. The T17 and S17 miners are not as reliable so looking specifically for those. I have looked into Zeus mining gear in the past and looks very makeshift.

Is there something better out there in terms of speed, quality, performance and support? Thanks in advance.
3  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Is there a way to run the Avalon 1047 efficiently? on: September 20, 2020, 11:55:57 PM
The header will probably be the same, eg  --avalon10-<command>-<subset> <value> but beyond that, no idea. The previous generations all have slight differences in how values are formatted and permissible ranges.

Can't say I've tried futzing around with it but I'll ask Kano if he can get some information from his contacts at Canaan. I will say that you cannot hurt the miners. If a code(s) is wrong or out of range it will just be ignored. Push them too hard and again they largely self-protect themselves by throttling down to safer levels before again trying to push towards what you have set.

Were you able to OC or make the 1047 better in efficiency?
4  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon A1041 Review on: May 17, 2020, 03:12:54 AM
Low power mode in the A1047 is now only doing 25 TH. Anyone noticed it? Has this issue been fixed?
5  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Is there a way to run the Avalon 1047 efficiently? on: May 16, 2020, 11:14:59 PM
I still have not figured how to OC it.

Did you notice that on the new firmware low power mode only gives you 25 TH or so?

Hey OP, any update on the 55 watt/TH software?
7  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Is there a way to run the Avalon 1047 efficiently? on: May 05, 2020, 02:07:19 AM
Do you think these will be the same as the old codes used in the old gen miners? Did you try any of that?
8  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Is there a way to run the Avalon 1047 efficiently? on: May 04, 2020, 08:40:30 PM
So from what you just mentioned their speed can be made low or high and they can be made more efficient?

My only issue with the A1047 is efficieny and their PSUs. Their PSUs go bad quite often no matter what temps you run them at.

Would love to play around with that. Let me know if you have any updates!!

In the latest firmware upgrade from April 29th, they have multiple pool configs and also a way to CGminer configuration and more options. However, I am not sure how to play with this feature. Have you done anything with this blank column of cgminer configuration-more options?
9  Bitcoin / Mining support / Is there a way to run the Avalon 1047 efficiently? on: May 04, 2020, 06:51:36 PM
Hi Folks,

Is there a way to run the A1047 efficiently? Wondering if there are any improvement softwares like Braiins or Vnish for these?
10  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: ckpool.org ZERO FEE SPLNS no registration mining pool US/DE/CN on: May 02, 2020, 12:03:20 AM
When I changed to 443 it did work on pool.ckpool.org:443 on the hiveOS software.

How do I connect the new generation miners on CKpool? I put some miners on HiveOS and then used below details but the pool shows dead on the miner. I know I am the one doing something wrong because other old gen machines are running fine on CK pool.

pool.ckpool.org:3333

try

 pool.ckpool.org:443

pool.ckpool.org:4334

or

depool.ckpool.org:3333
depool.ckpool.org:443

The pool shows as dead when I put in following details

solo.ckpool.org:3333
Bitcoin address
Password: x

I have tried 443 and 3333 both.

The software on the miner is HiveOS.

I wanted solopool. So I guess I posted in the wrong thread. Going over there now.

So what I have up there is not for Solopool? What is the URL for the solo pool?

15  Bitcoin / Mining support / S17 Pro PSU Issues? on: March 23, 2020, 09:21:22 PM
Hi Folks,

Has anyone noticed issues with S17 Pro psu's. I have a bunch which have gone bad lately. Wondering if others are facing similar issues?

works great. Actually the best S17 firmware on the market.
I like the presets, detailed ASICs management and of course with all advantage of HiveOS.

What are some of the benefits of using the HiveOS? Not the firmware but the management software I mean.

I meant more so like the S9's how people are overclocking to 17.7 TH and so on. Anyway to do that on this brand of miner?

Is there a way to overclock the Avalon miners?

How did the tax laws change again for miners?
20  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Braiins OS: open-source mining firmware [S9, T1]. New release includes AsicBoost on: September 03, 2019, 03:49:31 AM
What are some high efficiency settings for the s9 people are using? Hearing of 10th about 600W is possible.

This would be a game changer. Have you tried this?

I did 10025gh and 815 - 825 watts

Not sure anyone can do 600 watts.

What frequency did you use?
