now i curious to know more about this world, how its work, how to start here.
how can i help someone.
I love the fact that you're already thinking of thinking other people, but I guess there's a perfect time for that, and with how you created your thread, I guess you need to help yourself first before helping other people.

As to where you start, this forum is one. Youtube is another one that can help you. There are so many platforms online that will help you in terms of knowledge. For now, don't think of helping others and instead, help your first. Start at the basics of cryptocurrency. Start at the basics of Bitcoin. Over time, you will learn more and more as you watch and read online. We started here as a newbie. I started as a newbie as well, and the internet helped me learn more, and more about cryptocurrency.

I hope you will continue learning so that the time will come when you will be helping other people on how to open Bitcoin wallet. I just hope that the people who helped you open a Bitcoin wallet will not get the Bitcoins that you will store there because for sure they might know the private keys on it. Cheesy

Re: No risk no reward
Well, this is true, but take note as well that taking a risk doesn't mean you will get rewarded all the time.
There will be times where you will take a risk, and in the end you will not get rewarded.

There are some people out there who wants to invest into different assets, but they can't afford to risk their money because they're afraid they might lose their money. There are some who are a bit conservative when it comes to investing that they only use small amount of their money, and they only invest into the safest assets like Index Funds, Bitcoin etc. There are some who are just straight up risking all of their money hoping to get as many rewards as they can.

High risk = high reward, and it isn't only applicable in investing, but in other aspects of life as well. I guess it's only a matter of how much risk can we take or not. Like I said, risking everything doesn't mean that you will still get rewarded.
483  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it advisable to invest in JITO (JTO)? on: December 12, 2023, 07:15:17 AM

Do you think these amount of stakers and TVL are enough to have governance token airdrop? And is it advisable to invest in this coin?
Whenever it's a new project, I always have this feeling of being skeptical because of the fact that it's a new one, and the chance of it being a scam project is very high.
On the other hand, I looked at their website, and it seems like there's many validators on it already, and there's around 6M SOL that's currently locked, so I guess I can say that there's a bit of a support or I should say community behind this project.

It's also listed on Binance so it's a good thing as well. As to it's advisable to invest into that project, many always say to do our own research, and it's true. You can't just invest into a project that's currently hyped. Always look at it's long term benefits. Always look at the use case of it. I'm not saying that you don't invest into it though because we don't know what can happen with the project 6 months from now, or even a year from now. It's just that invest at your own risk.

You can invest, but not advisable to hold for long term. Just trade it for short term since it's listed on Binance, I guess. Cheesy
484  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Jamie Dimon said he would close Bitcoin down if he was in government on: December 12, 2023, 06:51:28 AM
He's the same person who said that Bitcoin is a fraud 6 years ago. Now the price of that "fraud" thing that he said a few years back is much, much higher now.
Another one is that, he's the owner of one of the largest banks, so I guess there's no surprise that he will be saying things like this in the public.

Luckily, he isn't a part of the government, and even he does, I don't think that he can do it. Bank owner have always look not only Bitcoin but crypto in general as a negative thing for them as it affects their business. Let them speak because at the end of the day, what they can do only is to just speak, but they can't do anything about it including stopping or closing Bitcoin.

If one day he will be in the government, I will be sharing 2 words for him if he will still try to close Bitcoin down. Good Luck.  Cheesy
485  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Trend or long term projects? on: December 11, 2023, 07:52:43 AM
~
Should we rely on only buying long term projects or we should invest according to trend despite of looking that trends coin will have no value in future?
As a big believer of long term investing, I always believe that long term is the way to go.
Lesser stress, lesser risk, yes lesser reward but how can you cherish your rewards if you might already have a mental problem thinking which coins might go up in the future in the short to mid term?

I mean long term is for me the safest and the best way to invest into crypto. We already know that the market has this thing called 4-year cycle where all of the coin are pumping up every 4 years. It happened in 2021, and in 2017, and it might happen again in 2025 (we don't know). Relying on trend when you're investing is very stressful, and I can't take that amount of stress just to get a small amount of profit. For me it isn't worth it. Looking at the market every day, analyzing each coin that it's in your radar etc. etc. Overall, mental health would be better than those profits.

I already got profits (impermanent) when I'm into long term investing. Just a wrong decision from me cause my profits to disappear.
486  Economy / Economics / Re: I need financial advice for my careless uncle. on: December 11, 2023, 07:24:34 AM
~
So what do you guys think he would do with such money to financially stabilize without going back to zero point?
Discipline.

Tell your uncle to fix himself first. We can tell many advices to him, but it will be pretty much useless if he will not change himself. Trust me, I've heard many advices from other people many years ago back when I was getting addicted to online games, and I completely ignored it all. The only time I stopped playing is when I realized that I'm doing something wrong already. If your uncle will not change, he will also realize all of his wrongdoings in the past. He will realize that if only he used that money into something more important then all will be good for him.

Our advices will be useless if he will not change at all. Yes we can share our advices, but tell your uncle to change his attitudes, or he will continue to experience the same things that he's experiencing right now. Tell to be more disciplined.

Re: Making a New Year resolution plan is Important.
TBH, I don't care about New Year's Resolution at all when I'm still young because in the end, I can't fulfill what I put in it.
During the past 2-3 years, I did create some New Year's Resolution plan, but unfortunately I can't do it for some reasons.

Creating one's new year's resolution is important because it will motivates us, but always take note that we can't do it if we will remain lazy. I became lazy in the past thus, I didn't finish any of it, but this year, I will make a new year's resolution, and I'll make sure that I will be doing it. I'm getting older, and older now, and I need to fulfill something for myself, and for my future as well.

Having a new year's resolution will motivate you as long as it's important. Whether it will be health-related one, or career-related one, having one will be beneficial for you. Overall, having one isn't enough, but we need to do everything in order for us to fulfill it. Being lazy will lead to nothing.
488  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is the absance of Bitcoin affect the crypto Industry? on: December 11, 2023, 05:24:54 AM
I don't know what will be my stance towards what he said because TBH, what he's saying might be true.

I mean with lots of altcoins emerging already, and some of them are giving a solution towards the problems of Bitcoin, there might be time in the future where Bitcoin will not be at the top anymore because we don't need it.

On the other hand, there are these new investors who only invests into Bitcoin. There are traders who are trading into Bitcoin most of the time. Overall, there will still be people that needs Bitcoin one way or another. I'm thinking how will the crypto industry will be without Bitcoin?

Please try to understand these are the same people who spreads fud during bear market and impersonates as experts.

Don't go with any such predictions and rather do your own research because I have seen people randomly investing into shitcoins just because it's mentioned over Twitter and the person who has tweeted has huge followers. There will be so much of deceiving as they will share some 10 coins and even if one of them prospers they will use it as upselling point.
In short, don't follow what others are saying.

Just follow what your instinct is. If you're a newbie, I don't know but following 1 or 2 so-called experts out there might do, but still beware because those 2 might be just some shillers out there who doesn't know anything about cryptocurrencies or at least doing TA, but they're just predicting base on what they feel.

Being caution = not following what others are saying. I agree with what you said that not everything in the internet is a market expert. I've been watching only one crypto Youtube influencer for the past 3 years, and what he always does is he's doing a TA on different market, and saying his analysis on both sides (up and down), so I can say that he really is an expert... or he is. Cheesy Bottom line is that I'm following him, but I'm not relying on his analysis. As for newbies out there, it would be better if you will just invest into Bitcoin if you don't know that much about crypto. In that way, your capital will be way safer than investing in new projects which has a high chance of rug pull.
490  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 11, 2023, 01:44:35 AM
Congrats to Lakers. LeBron is fantastic at this age, great stats. He's older than some coaches and almost at the same age as others. It's hard to play high level at that age in any sports, not just basketball, and he's still making near career average stats. Anthony Davis was insane last night, 41-20-5 in a final like that? That's insane performance. Lakers well deserved this first trophy. I wonder what will they change in the in-season tournament for next season though.
I don't know TBH how Le-GM keeps his body like that. His work style maybe? His way of working on his body might affect it, but his performance in the last 2 to 3 games is just like we are watching a 20+-year-old player who is dominating the league still. He deserves that MVP trophy for sure.

As for AD, anybody who saw his grunting face that was caught on camera? That only shows that he's on fire with that game, and nobody on the Pacers can stop him. Turner can't just stop him, and that's the Davis that we want to see all year round. I've been quite impressed with him over the past months. He's barely getting injured, and if he gets injured, he will miss out only a couple of games then he's good to go. He wasn't like he was a few years ago where he will sit months because of his injury.

I'm not updating myself with regards to the in-season tournament, but can somebody tell here what will be the advantage of the Lakers now that they won the in-season tournament? I mean are there any benefits that they will be getting as the regular season progresses? Thank you very much

fast-forward from then till now how Bitcoin has bounce back to it current price and is still climbing up,
those people that sold their holdings at a loss will be licking their wounds by now and thinking how they wish they hold on to it a little bit longer.
Those who lack self-control, and trust in the assets that they bought are the ones who sold their holdings. I believe those are the ones who didn't see how Bitcoin moved over the years.

They are just newbies who are just starting to invest in Bitcoin. For sure, those who saw how Bitcoin moved over the years will not sell their holdings at a loss unless they urgently need that capital, but if they don't then they are the ones who are into profit right now.

Anyway, those who made mistakes by selling at a loss will learn their lesson, and will not do it again. That's for sure.

Monitoring the price of your holding everyday will earn you nothing, but since we are all humans, it will makes us want to react to some price changes which is not good for the goal of getting filthy rich in the crypto space.
I'm monitoring all of the prices of the coins that I'm holding, and yes I will not earn doing that literally, but I'm not reacting to any price changes whatsoever. I mean I'm not making any decision just because one of my coins went up huge.

Currently, Cardano is up 50% already since last week, but still, I'm not selling it because it reached as high as $3 on the last bull run, so I might sell it near that price or even above if possible.
492  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 09, 2023, 03:57:09 PM
While Chet is enjoying his popularity now, unfortunately, Wemby and his Spurs continues their losing streak.

Yeah, the Spurs have already lost 16 games in a row. It's funny, but that's not even the worst result since the Pistons have already lost 19 games in a row. In any case, it was expected that the Spurs would be uncompetitive this regular season because their roster is too young and inexperienced. Coach Pop will probably need at least 2-3 more seasons to bring these kids up and make them at least a competitive team.
Coach Pop has been in the league for decades already, and I believe that he knows what he's doing. He knows that the Spurs can't compete for the title with his current roster, thus he needs one more high draft pick that's why he's kind of experimenting this season. I also believe that he already said it to Wembanyama that's why he doesn't care about losing streaks whatsoever, but he only cares about his development and experience.

Chet can get that "Rookie of the Year" title, but we know that Wemby is a generational player who has a generational talent, and I believe that in 2 years, he will be the face of the team. What the Spurs need right now is another high draft pick aside from those young players out there, and they're good to go.

As for the Pistons, I don't know what's happening to them. Sorry for my words, but they're just a disgrace. I don't know what's the problem with this team TBH. Consecutive seasons that they're at the bottom, but they can't even have good players on draft night. They got Killian Hayes which is a bust and they also get James Wiseman which is also a bust. I guess it's good that they got Cunningham, and Ausar Thompson, but they will not develop on that team, and they should be traded to develop even more.
493  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Would you pay $1M dollars worth of BTC or USDT for an El Salvadorian passport? on: December 09, 2023, 03:34:33 PM
If El Salvador isn't like any other country out there, and it's like a "UTOPIA" where everything is perfect then I guess I'll save some Bitcoins for it... or not. Cheesy

I'm living in a developing country and that amount of money is already huge for me even though I will work all my life, I might not save that amount of money. I don't see any differences between living in El Salvador and living in another country.

I wonder who will try to do this one? Rich businessmen maybe who want to live in El Salvador? Maybe miners who want to mine there? I mean I can't think of somebody who will spend a million dollars just to be a citizen of that country. Cheesy
494  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Finally I did it (I am happy to join). on: December 09, 2023, 10:52:39 AM
However, that was the best time to buy some Bitcoin, but still, today I have finally bought my first Bitcoin. It is quite hard to do this, but I finally did it.
~
Although I bought my first Bitcoin through a P2P transaction with an exchange wallet, after receiving my first coins I have to resend them to an electrum Bitcoin wallet because it is safer.
Congratulations? I guess. Smiley

You bought ~$1400 worth of Bitcoin through an exchange now on Electrum. I mean what can we say about that? Just take care of your Bitcoins, and if possible, continue buying since you have a business, take a percentage of your profit there and buy different assets, not only Bitcoin. It's always good to see users here starting their investing journey and buying cryptocurrencies.

As for me, I'm continuing to accumulate Bitcoin and other assets in preparation for the upcoming bull run. I know it's still months of even a year away, but still better to invest now than never invest at all. take care of your coins, and if possible, don't just focus on Bitcoin, but buy some altcoins as well. Take note that altcoins tend to move higher than Bitcoin during the bull run. Smiley
495  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Samoyedcoin? on: December 09, 2023, 10:28:22 AM
A unique aspect of Samoyedcoin is its focus on environmental sustainability. The project's website states that a portion of the token's transaction fees goes to reforestation and the project emphasizes the importance of responsible pet ownership and donates to animal welfare organizations.
I'm a dog lover. So much so that I always wanted to help dog shelters out there.

If you want to help those organizations that are focusing on animals, you don't need to create a new project just to have funds. I have a huge empathy when it comes to animals, but they are just using animals to scam people. It's indirect, but you got the point. If you want to help animal organizations, you don't need to create a new project because you can help them in many ways. I love the vision of the project, but since it's a meme coin, I don't want to touch it.

~
I then took a look and this coin has been out for many years already.  The high was about $0.24 and the lowest was $0.001.  Now what exactly made this coin suddenly go up like this recently after being out for few years already?  Is this coin worth trading short term?  But not for holding long term as it probably go to zero pretty much later on?
It's a pump-and-dump coin. Simple as that.
496  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 08, 2023, 10:55:48 AM
Third quarter 43-17. Lakers won easily, they didn't even sweat. Bucks lost so I believe Lakers will win this tournament without showing extra performance. Another unique achievement for LeBron before he retires.
In-season tournament is like local cups in football, it brings more excitement in regular season but I'm not sure if it was necessary and if it attracted enough attention.
Aside from that 3rd quarter rally by the Lakers, I've seen some reasons why the Lakers just destroyed the Pelicans, especially in the 2nd half.
They have no players that can stop Lebron, the Lakers have the size advantage, the Lakers just outrebounded them 59-42.

I just love the fact that the Lakers did acquire big players which is a big help for Davis. I believe that the acquisition of Hayes, and Wood helped them, and let's not forget the fact that they also acquired some wing players like Prince and Reddish aside from Hachimura and Vanderbilt. This is the reason why the Lakers are one of the top rebounding teams right now in the league. They have big and tall players that can outrebound other teams.

As for the Pacers, and Lakers, it's a battle between one of the most offensive team Vs. one of the best rebounding team right now. I already predicted that the Pacers would win against the Bucks a few days ago, and I want my prediction to be 2/2 that's why I will pick the Pacers to win the In-season tournament. Cheesy
497  Economy / Economics / Re: On retirement on: December 08, 2023, 10:30:14 AM
We have different perspectives on retirement.
As for me, my definition of retirement is that you can do everything that you want without any hindrances whatsoever.

Retirement for me doesn't mean that you will stop working because as long as you can still work, as much as possible work for you to get money. Retirement for me means that you can do everything of your own free will. Some want to do something but they can't because they have a 9-5 job. I've seen many old people who are still working even though they are at the age where they can retire because they love what they're doing. That's my other definition of retirement. To do everything that you love of your own free will without thinking of anything that will just make you stressed.

Overall, different people have different definitions of retirement, but if you can still work for some reason then at least work as long as you love what you're doing.

Re: Would it be enough to buy 100 dollars worth of Bitcoin every month?
The word "enough" is a broad term.
I can say that $100 is enough, but there will be some who will say here that it isn't, and vice-versa.

The point here is, what's important is that you are investing. Investing would be much better than just putting it in banks. Yes, your money will be safer there, but you need to risk sometimes for you to get more money. Investing $100 will always be better than not investing at all. Good Luck to you OP. Don't forget to invest, but at the same time focus on your studies as well. Are you worried about missing the bull market? Always take note of this. You will not miss it out as long as you're investing. The ones who will miss it are the ones who aren't investing at all because they're afraid. You are thinking like this because you are kind of pressuring yourself, and thinking about the investment of others out there. Just focus on your investment, and don't compare it with other investors.

You're lucky that you are getting as high as $100 per month because when I was studying at college, I was getting way less amount every month compared to you, so I don't have spare money to save for investing.

Re: Are you feeling FOMO like I am?
FOMO?? Hype?? I've seen the market go to a bull run twice, and it came to a point already where I don't feel anything at all when I see the market going up, and at the same time when it's going down.

I don't feel anything at all. No excitement, no sadness because I feel that I didn't accumulate enough Bitcoin, no disappointment, nothing. I mean I don't know, but I don't feel anything. I'm just waiting for Bitcoin and other altcoins to reach my target selling prices. I'm focusing more on my strategy, and being emotional isn't a part of it. I'm disappointed in myself because I didn't sell all of my assets during the last bull run a few years ago, but this time I will not miss the opportunity anymore.

Bitcoin will reach $100,000. That's a fact, and it's only a matter of when it will happen. It might happen on the next bull run which is highly likely to happen, or it might happen on the next bull run after the upcoming one. No need to get FOMO'ed as of this moment. Focus on your strategy (if you have one). Continue saving money so when the market goes down, you have some money to be used in buying assets at a cheaper price.
