801  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [PASC] PascalCoin, true deletable blockchain - V2 protocol active! on: October 23, 2017, 08:40:25 PM
I think Pascal has huge potential from a tech standpoint, but there are a couple of issues...

1) Perception. While the technical aspects of the coin are indisputable, the UI is terrible. It needs a facelift, and account # purchasing with fiat/credit card should be available at the wallet level - the current process for obtaining an account number is convoluted and not particularly obvious to newcomers.

2) The deletable blockchain is its strength, and its achilles heel. Crypto coin values go up with mining difficulty/limitation of supply. If the chain is deletable, there's no reason to ever increase difficulty, meaning the price will stagnate.

IMHO, Pascal seems like a prime candidate for a Public/Private blockchain, targeting enterprise a la Ripple.
802  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] AML BitCoin Token Sale is now LIVE ! on: October 23, 2017, 08:29:19 PM
Since the newsletter is discussed I will post it here so people can understand from their own minds and read with us. But in my opinion we did make a mistake by stating
" ... and your email was flagged as ... "  since this newsletter likely went out to everyone on our list (I will ask if this is so).
It's also possible that someone started the process but started over again for example when the page got expired.

"It's been a busy week among the AML BitCoin team, and we felt it important to share some important news to everyone on our newsletter.

We started an audit and your email was flagged as starting the contribution process but was never completed on TokenLot.com’s Payment Platform.  If you were unable to complete your purchase feel free to contact us for assistance at info@amlbitcoin.com.

If you did a purchase and did not receive an Order Confirmation Email from TokenLot, please email our audit department at audit@amlbitcoin.com. Make sure to provide them with the email address you registered with along with the wallet address that you sent the funds to.

If you did a purchase and have received your Order Confirmation Email, please email Tokens@Amlbitcoin.com your Aml Token Wallet address so that they can confirm the Token Address is the same one you registered with.

Once the audit is completed, we plan on distributing tokens shortly thereafter."

The original is here: http://mailchi.mp/062f9adb18c8/important-aml-token-distribution-update-please-read?e=

Stealth8368: I believe you are in the last category since you did receive the confirmation emails already and you should not be worried. We simply do a re-audit for maximum security. Please use the email address that best describes the status of your order(s). Like DroidR17A you can use Tokens@Amlbitcoin.com.

Thanks for responding to questions regarding the recent email. I have received a confirmation of sorts since then, but I do not see any response to my other questions here.

Namely that...given TokenLot's security failure, what steps are being taken to test the new service provider - e.g. manual/automated pen tests, load tests, etc.? Have any been done?

...and what about the data verification companies, for once the real coin actually launches? Will you be posting extracts from the SLA and pursuing independent data auditing and pen testing?

These are important questions given that people are currently risking money and will eventually be sharing PII in order to use the platform. I'm now more than a little concerned about the level of security audits being carried out with your 3rd party providers. What steps are you taking to secure our data and tokens moving forward?
803  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] TenX: Making Blockchain assets spendable on: October 21, 2017, 01:59:11 AM
It takes time to do something groundbreaking, so patience should probably be applied. Nearly all alts are tanking 'cause everyone's accumulating BTC for the forks, it will bounce back, so I'd say HODL.
804  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: ★ [ANN] 🔵 Ethereum Blue | AIRDROP 🔵 The first secure ERC20 on: October 21, 2017, 01:52:08 AM
Not that I'm planning on selling my BLUEs and time soon (thanks again for the airdrop), but if anybody does, they're already trading on Etherdelta - https://etherdelta.com/#BLUE-ETH

I received an email on Wednesday asking me to forward the account number I used to the Tokens@ email addy, which I did - along with the receipt code. When can we expect to receive confirmations that the accounts/funds have been matched?

Also, given TokenLot's security failure, what steps are being taken to test the new service provider - e.g. manual/automated pen tests, load tests, etc.? Have any been done?

Seriously guys, calm the rhetoric. If you have an issue, contact the AML team and give them a chance to do a quick RCA before jumping hot and making unfounded accusations.  Maybe I'm deluded, but the AML team are being pretty responsive and professional from what I see here.

Will there be any bounty campaigns?
813  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][POWR][UPDATE] *** POWER LEDGER TOKEN SALE STARTS FRIDAY 8TH SEPTEMBER *** on: October 17, 2017, 04:04:13 AM
who has any predictions for the price, when the powerledger will be released to the exchange? I think x1.5

X1.5 is not a big task from this big project this very solid project I won't sell my token under 25x and this will happen very soon.

I hope you're right, and agree that ppl should hold their coins for a while. This is token that might actually do some good.
814  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] FLiK on: October 17, 2017, 03:56:57 AM
Actually maybe a stupid question but if they are burning that much coins what if you bought some on coinexchange now? Isn't there a possibility that they will be burned?

They're burning the coins that weren't sold during the ICO.
815  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][POWR][UPDATE] *** POWER LEDGER TOKEN SALE STARTS FRIDAY 8TH SEPTEMBER *** on: October 16, 2017, 07:34:54 PM
I see that there are no answers to questions! When will we see our awards for the work done? The team and the managers are very busy or it's cheating people. I still have hope that everything will be fine.

I doubt there's deliberate cheating, this looks like one of the best managed and audited ICOs to date.
816  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Trojan - SegWit2x on: October 13, 2017, 09:11:41 PM
This is the commit:
https://github.com/btc1/bitcoin/commit/28ebbdb1f4ab632a1500b2c412a157839608fed0

If segx2 team did that, then other altcoins can also do it ?

Did you see the last post/response? Seems like a legit answer:

It's pretty short sighted if they have, as it will just undermine the credibility of both branches.
818  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I lost 80% of my bitcoins in alts, What can I do now?! on: October 13, 2017, 08:52:12 PM
A) Double check USD vs BTC rates, even though they are worth less BTC, they may be worth more USD (so you can cash out USD [or your local fiat] and buy back after the segwit2x fork).

B) Setup a stop/limit on your fav exchange and use a bot sell them at your chosen price so you don't miss the short window when they spike.
819  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] AML BitCoin Token Sale is now LIVE ! on: October 13, 2017, 08:44:19 PM
Nicely put. The Thai and Japanese governments are trying to eliminate paper and move to pure digital currencies. This could help the US move in the same direction.
820  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] FLiK on: October 12, 2017, 08:58:07 PM
So if the coin goes up x5 after the burn, who is actually going to buy it and why shouldn't those people buy FLIK now right away?
I am not rly convinced that this is a possible scenario.

Can someone explain?

I'd buy now while it's cheap. It will probably pump again in the next few days.
