23  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The problem with atheism. on: May 02, 2018, 03:19:58 PM
Atheists don't realize that atheism is a religion.

Theists instinctively believe that God exists, because they see the universe machine. Machines have makers. Atheists know subconsciously that they see the universe machine, and they instinctively understand that God exists, just like the theists. But they don't like it. So, they try to believe that God doesn't exist, by making many forceful claims that they are atheists. Doing this makes them liars.

Cool

I really shouldn't ever engage you...

But for the sake of the watchers.

Atheism can be a religion. Religion, at root, means to bind oneself to a creed. Those few atheists who make the claim that there is no god (strong or positive atheists) are indeed claiming a creed, which makes it (sort of)a religion.

However, the vast majority of us in my experience simply do not believe in a god, which is the very opposite of a religion. We do NOT posit that there is no god, but rather that the proofs presented by theists simply lack sufficient evidence.

I am an atheist. I have no gods, and worship no one.

I'm also a religious man in that I MOST ASSUREDLY have a creed that I try to live by. It has no need of gods, nor would it be heightened or lessened by their putative existence.

I know, from previous go 'rounds with you, that you are a christian. At one time, I, too, believed in that fairy tale. But sooner or later, one must grow up. Belief in the unbelievable doesn't make it true. Christianity, like EVERY OTHER THEISTIC RELIGION OUT THERE, is easily disproven. This does not prove or disprove a god or gods, it merely disproves one postulate of a deity.

The simple truth, which most atheists and all theists understand:

If there was a god that wanted to be worshipped, there would be ZERO chance that this debate would ever exist. An all powerful being that desires to be worshipped would not hide it.

Just in case anybody missed me Cheesy

There are four of us who will be posting to this thread under the OfficialEQL account, and they are the four listed in the announcement. Stay tuned, we're doing exciting things Cheesy

Since y'all are rebooting the coin, I'd highly recommend a new announce thread to avoid confusion.

26  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [EAC] EarthCoin (EAC) !!! RELOADED !!! on: April 13, 2018, 03:35:24 PM
Is there a current list of EAC pools? Just dug out my old gridseeds. Not quite powerful enough for solomining Cheesy
27  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [EAC] EarthCoin (EAC) !!! RELOADED !!! on: March 21, 2018, 04:15:28 PM
Hi everyone, this is my first post, I'm new to Crypto, just a couple of months, happy I found this thread!  I think EarthCoin can be a great coin if we can change some of the negative opinions about it.  For example when one searches EarthCoin in Google, one of the first few search results that come up is a CoinTelegraph article by Lyke Aru, titled "OneCoin leads top 3 scam coin list, S-Coin, EarthCoin Follow".  The article cites this an opinion from Angelina Lazar with quotes from Nawaf Abdullah of a BitCoin exchange based in Ghana called eBitronics.  They basically say it's a pump and dump scheme without a real website.  But this eBitronics "exchange" does not even have a website, just a Twitter page!  I think it's unfortunate that EarthCoin is getting this undeserved bad publicity. If I tell someone about EarthCoin, or anyone wants to lookup EarthCoin, they do a search, and this CoinTelegraph article that pops up on the first result page will just immediately scare people away from EarthCoin.  I sent feedback to Google a couple of times with my opinion that the article misrepresents EarthCoin, but the article is still there showing up on the first few results.  Maybe we can collectively sway CoinTelegraph's negative opinion of EarthCoin, I can't see how EartCoin can get any traction here with this article showing up as one of the first few search results.  Thanks.

Do you mean to write some articles that recommend Coincoin?
Can you write it? Can you help Earth coins develop together?
Your opinion is good
Thank you.

I was thinking more in line with the community contacting CoinTelegraph by Facebook with their opinions of the article, (if they disagree with it) or maybe contacting Google by feedback.  I have done those already, I'm new to Crypto and not an author, so I don't foresee any sites publishing any Crypto article I write. Smiley

You write well, and the barriers to entry are far less in the crypto world than many others. You might want to reconsider Cheesy
28  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin be used to support terrorists? on: March 12, 2018, 10:20:20 PM
The largest source of funds for terrorists are governments.

Period. No exceptions exist.

Abolish central government, and both their raison detat and funding will dry up.
29  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LCC] Litecoin Cash | SHA256 LTC fork @ block 1371111 | 10:1 claim ratio on: March 06, 2018, 05:38:53 PM
I have been observing the LCC team over the last couple of days and I have been surprised to say the least. My experience has been completely different than yours. I have nothing but good things to say about them. I most certainly haven't seen them acting in the way you describe. In fact; Whenever someone does have a concern, you will see about 5 or 6 people jump to the challenge of helping them, etc. It's a good community it seems.

Sounds like you're spreading fear in my opinion. Yobit artificially pumps every coin... I wouldn't recommend that site to anyone.

Disclaimer: I hold some LCC from the recent LTC fork, however I am hodling until moon Cheesy

Dont expect this shit coin and scam orchestra to go anywhere... The team behind this is useless and the coin has no value as soon as people see that there is no real use of this coin plus no one wants to mine it cause of the price then the dump will be to ZERO.
Also the team/admins act like nazis or cult leaders banning people from discord and telegram cause of "spreading FUD".
Dump this shit and get the free money and move on.
DONT BUY THIS SHIT CAUSE OF THE ARTIFICIAL PUMP IN YOBIT!

I am one of the moderators on the Discord for LCC, and I can say that we are trying very hard to be the most newbie friendly, and generally friendly, community in crypto.

I know so far of only one person who was banned, for spam. A number of people have been warned, and for the most part, immediately backed off. The warnings were for attacking another person in the discord, and for posting NSFW in the wrong channel. Granted, I am not there 24/7, but I do regularly interact with the other moderators. I am not on Telegram, but I am usually available on Discord. I invite you there to discuss your issue with us.

We actually have a channel for FUD Cheesy Even if it's just in play. We will vigorously defend our motives and plans, but banning people for opinions simply don't happen in this community. And if someone is abusing that, the moderation team needs to know.

As for the issues in finding coins from the time of the fork, there have been a few people having similar ones, and in most cases I or one of our many helpful folks in discord have been able to get it sorted and recover the coins. Most often there are change addresses that need chased down. This is particularly true in hardware wallets and HD wallets, as the seed based generation of addresses seems to like to park things in bits and pieces. Again, come on down to our Discord. Link is in my sig, and on the OP.

Personally, the wallet worked perfectly for me the first time out Cheesy But I have seen a few people have some trouble in claiming their coins. If it was there at the fork block, you have them. Might just take a bit of work and digging to make them show up.

This was one of my initial coin purchases back in December 2017. Anyone know whats the future of this coin, any use for the 1m coin I have got  Grin This coin is not even is coinmarketcap

I fell in love with the concept and I assume people are still about with a functioning chain?

chain works just fine Cheesy Occasionally some idiot puts a huge asic farm against it and KGW makes a very long block, but that's the only issue.

Any news on Soniq, Soundposition?

Also, we're not on CMC because of Cryptopia and Nova both having closed the LTC and DOGE markets. Well, nova closed everything while they reorganize Cheesy

But Cryptopia listed FUNK on BTC, and I have so informed CMC. Not sure why it hasn't been fixed, but if y'all feel the urge to hit their request form, it could fix it faster.
31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LCC] Litecoin Cash | SHA256 LTC fork @ block 1371111 | 10:1 claim ratio on: March 02, 2018, 08:35:30 PM
Is there any limit date for claiming LCC?
I'm not too in a hurry to do it right now, do I have time to claim my LCC in the future?

Yes, just make sure (as noted before) that you move your LTC before you import the keys into the LCC wallet.

No time limit nor any plans for one. Tomorrow or next century Cheesy

Also, since I'z already posting:

We could really use some more miners at the smaller pools. A decentralized coin is a safe coin!

32  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LCC] Litecoin Cash | SHA256 LTC fork @ block 1371111 | 10:1 claim ratio on: March 02, 2018, 05:06:18 PM
Ladies and Gentlemen, and you too Raskul Cheesy

I've recently become a Mod on the Discord for this coin, and I want to address a couple of things.

One, the wallet is most definitely not a trojan or a key stealer.

That being said, ABSOLUTELY ALWAYS move your LTC to a new wallet before importing your keys. We have emphasized this since before the snapshot occured. There are malwares out there that can do bad things, especially if you run Windows. Be careful.

If you have ANY issues importing keys, please, by all means, join our Discord. the link is in the OP, and will be in my signature shortly. I or several other people will be happy to assist you. If anyone, and I don't care if it's your girlfriend, asks you for your private keys, deny them!

We are a friendly and active community, please come and join us!

As for the unfortunate comment earlier, well, I know he'd been awake for about 30 hours. Let it pass please Cheesy

You can PM me here as well, I'm on daily.

33  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin be used to support terrorists? on: March 02, 2018, 03:18:47 AM
On March 8th, Cheollima Civil Defense(CCD) released a video on its website claiming:” Han Sol, the son of Kim Jong Nam, and two other family members were met quickly and relocated to safety. “ And they receive bitcoin for financial support. http://news.8btc.com/bitcoin-plays-a-role-in-humanitarian-assistance This is something nice to do. But what if bitcoin be used to support some bad organizations, even terrorists? Is this already happening?  What i am worrying is if bitcoin be widely used for bad things, negative news would be all over and bitcoin price will drop. It will lead to tougher regulation. Do u think world leaders are willing to kill btc to make sure they can fight terrirists?

The difference between terrorism and legitimate government is victory. Bitcoin is already used to support terrorists. Just in the past year, I, personally, have had several thousand USD in taxes extracted by the IRS from my sales of bitcoin. This money is used primarily to finance a global war of domination by a a few alleged men in the District of Columbia.

Now, as to it's "illicit" uses, not very long ago the very people crying wolf commissioned a study showing that somewhere south of 1% of all bitcoin transactions were used for criminal activity.

The ugly truth that these people refuse to acknowledge is that for criminal use, the US Dollar remains king, and will so long as it's the world's dominant currency.
34  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I am pretty confident we are the new wealthy elite, gentlemen. on: February 27, 2018, 11:34:02 PM
http://astrohacker.com/ahc/bitcoin-is-the-economic-singularity/

After reading this, the scale of black market and digital economies and the effect Bitcoin will have on them I am pretty certain we are going to be very wealthy men -- even with a sum as small as 10 Bitcoins. It's just so hard to believe. We are only in the beginning storms with these significant rallies from 10 to 20 dollars. I will not be surprised to see prices from hundreds to thousands in the coming months.

The world just isn't going to be the same and we have been blessed as the pioneers.

What are you going to do with your Bitcoin wealth once your coins hit upwards of $10,000 a pop?

So the banking system is unfair and the new elites and banksters rule the world... but this new "currency" (note the quotes) is meant to save everyone... ah no sorry!, is just to make me rich and then it does not matter how unfair it isfor the rest of the world, nor it matters how much computing and electricity uses nor it matters that criminals use it.

Also... who freaking cares about paying taxes for services if you can avoid it somehow.

BTCitcoin is a pump and dump schem
e and has failed as a currency, it is used pretty much NOWHERE nowadays despite all the marketing and propaganda.

Oh, it is used by criminals Shocked so it has to be bad
TOR is also used by criminals
They also use CARS od FOOD and lots of things normal people can use, too. Are these things bad? NO!
IKR???

I want to ... I don't know, break bones everytime one of these sub room temperature IQ morons starts mooning on and  on about how "criminal will use bitcoin"...

NO SHIT,SHERLOCK!!

I've said it many times before, and a cursory search of any financial data regarding crime, real and statutory, will show me to be right.

the single most valued currency to criminals by leaps and bounds is the US Dollar. The Euro and Yen are in vague contention for number 2. Bitcoin isn't even in the top 100.

Y'all should really go to the Discord. Dev's and mods are not paying  a great deal of attention to Bitcointalk, but they are quite active in the Discord.

As to the person who was having a problem importing the key, I believe there was some issue with segwit keys, but I don't know how to fix it. But it was addressed a couple of times. Unfortunately, I don't know if there was a solution yet.

My keys were normal, and I had no problems, other than the ones caused by Yobit and Tradesatoshi sitting on the wallets.
36  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SHA-256D] PETRODOLLAR (P$): BIG OIL COMES TO CRYPTO on: February 21, 2018, 03:22:06 AM
I have a doubt and would like to confirm something i read about (XPD), first of all this is not speculation on my part, this coin has some relation with the oil of Venezuela? or it is pure speculation of people, thank you if clarify this question.

It has absolutely nothing to do with Venezuela. It was one of Bryce Weiner's experiments a few years back. Works good, never really caught traction. Now if the VZ government had any brains, they'd take this bitch over instead of issuing another worthless token, but that didn't happen.
37  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LCC] Litecoin Cash | SHA256 LTC fork @ block 1371111 | 10:1 claim ratio on: February 21, 2018, 03:20:25 AM
Well, I've been in the Discord pretty much all day, watching...

The usual collection of trolls, of course, but the devs are very active, and actively trying to get on other exchanges.

Several surprises for me. I thought this was gonna be another instant bust. I figured, why not? Free money. But these dudes seem serious.

The devs are (quietly) pretty upset with Yobit. MeanXTrade is a brand new exchange, and it's owner has been in the discord trying to get things rolling. He seems trustworthy, but his exchange tends to break. To his credit, he's right there with the wrenches.

I've no idea what the price will settle at, but given the energy of the dev team, and the fact that the launch wasn't a total disaster, just a bit delayed, I'm thinking it might go somewhere. I'm not gonna dump instantly. Might pick up few more on Mean while they're cheap Cheesy

I still have '0 active connections to LitecoinCash network' on my Core Wallet... -after several hours.

Does anyone else have the same issue?

Thank you for your feedback! Smiley

My wallet won't start syncing, anyone know why? Just says connecting to peers.

same, doesn't work

I'm still bootstrapping, so I doubt I've picked up any peers. I'll check, if I got 'em, I'll post 'em.
