I got a refund of 824... better than nothing but I don't think it's high enough. I mined 10 hours, at the start the stat was 22,000 per day, and at the end of the 10 hour period the stat was 10,000 per day. Averaging those out, for 10 hours I should have received ~6666 coins, and have still even with the refund received less than 1000 from the pool.
Those stats were clearly messed up. It was telling me I should have more than 50.000 a day, that would be like me finding more than 1000 blocks a day solomining = 40 blocks an hour, clearly not correct.

Fail not to include Phenixcoin as it is one of the few coins you can actually do something with, other than buy and sell it

Put premined coins in escrow, simple and good solution

One more suggestion to the dev team. Please put the info about the premined coins on your phenixcoin.com site and in the OP and explain why they have been premined. It will look a lot more credible if you are up front with this instead of people finding out through reading the thread.

His giveaways are a tiny percentage of his premine.
If the price goes up he will offload loads of coin and laugh all the way to bank.
They are giving away 3-5% a week it seems to me. Not sure if it is a good idea to give away more in the start, but Im sure that could be disccussed. Anyways, you make a good point and the best solution would probably be to put the premined coins in escrow with someone who is only releasing them when they are needed for givaways. Hope the Phenix guys could comment on if they would be willing to do something like that.

The guy premined over a million coins, and you think this is going to be the next big thing?
You do see the difference between preminig to give the coins to yourself and preminig to use to support the coin? So far the developers seem to have a good plan on how to use the coins. Now, should they stop spending the coins on what they have said they will do I will have a problem, but until then I can clearly see a nice benefit. I am sure you do too when you open your mind from the notion that: premine = has to be terrible.

oldtimegin PrfHnBvFvUKrhmbi7gBd3Bfni7d8pmKeZb you premine 2,000,000 coins and you do a 150 coin giveaway ^ my thought. The premine was 1.000.000 not 2.000.000 (good to have your facts straight ) And I see the coins going to good use. There will be a 25 000 weekly freeroll and 1500 daily freerolls and more stuff is supposed to come. I actually dont think premining is a bad thing if the developers can provide accountability for where the premined coins are going. Big difference between that and just giving yourself the coins. Feels good to know the coin I am mining has some capital to use to stay relevant, so it wont just fade like another elacoin.

They have said they are going to make the pool payment right and I trust them to do it. Really doubt they would go through all this trouble setting up the poker room and trading stuff just to scam some pool-users. That said, I agree that it is kinda annoying to finally be in on the ground floor on a coin that I think could become huge and not get the actual coins yet... And to everyone who think there is a virus in the client, really? Do you think someone would set up all this stuff just to spread a virus when it is obvious that all you have to do is create a thread announcing a new coin and everyone will jump on it no matter how little effort is put behind it and download to get first in on the mining.

BFL's history is simple. They over promise and under deliver at every step. They constantly lie about shipping dates and specs while channeling resources into advertising to continuously generate funds for pre-ordered products that they also cannot deliver in a timely fashion. They're in blatant violation of FTC prompt delivery regulations and ignoring FCC regulations regarding emissions and their CEO is a convicted thief that should not be trusted with bus fare. Most of the whopping 35 5Gh units they've finally shipped after months of lies about shipping dates have been sent to media, devs, and early paypal customers that eBay has been(rightly) hassling BFL about failing to deliver.
Do not order from them, you'll be lucky to break even if you receive anything at all. If you still insist on ordering from them order their 5Gh model as it's the only one they've even demonstrated to have functional at all nearly a year after beginning to collect pre-order money for their SC line. Even this product bears little resemblance to the product originally pre-ordered in June of 2012. The price has nearly doubled and the power consumption has increased 5 fold.
This man speaks the truth. Nice post!

im so happy i bought a couple of gpus instead of bfl last year. been jumping around on all the alt coins and pretty much have made more than those bfls (remember you cant mine the more profitable alt coins on them) will make in their lifetime, and i still have gpus with a nice resale value as we say around here i got it in both shoppingbag and in the good old sack.
