Crypto will still be popular til it have a huge money in crypto. I think mining will never stop unless many people will not patronize mining because of the hard of mining. When the cryptocurrencies reached it limits it will be hard to those miners who are mining because it will take more time to mine more because the crypto increase the solving blocks of blockchain will be hard also.

Yes, if you really want an benefit or earning you must just HOLD your coins and don't sell it because if you panic sell your coins you may loss when the market price goes up or pump again. Better if you just hold your coins. Due to the market down it is also the chance for you to buy coins that are in low value and just hold it until the market goes up again for you to earn more.
