101  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC Mining vs Buying on: November 08, 2017, 08:21:33 PM
If I were you I would buy Bitcoin. In my opinion it is the most profitable option right now. GPU mining is no longer as profitable as it was and it is hard to get an ASIC. By investing in BTC you can try to trade or earn from hardforks (however not all of them might happen which SegWit2x showed us).
102  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BitCoin 20 Years From Now on: November 08, 2017, 07:47:46 PM
We are not future tellers. We are not able to predict what will be the price of the BTC in the future. We can't even predict what will happen in the next few days. I hope that Bitcoin will be constantly develop and the transaction will be much faster so they could be used in our daily lives. Just look what happens when the Bitcoin network is overloaded. My transaction to the exchange is still not confirmed after 6 hours with high fee paid.
103  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Segwit2x is dead, long live Bitcoin on: November 08, 2017, 07:42:25 PM
I couldn't believe when I heard about this announcement. I was quite sure that Bitcoin SegWit2x would die but I didn't think that it wouldn't happen! What will happen to SegWit2x supporters? I doubt that they will give up easily. Bitcoin Cash is the only alternative for them right now. BTC price had reached $7800 and it quickly declined. I didn't have enough time to sell my BTC.
104  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is it the Future of Banking ? on: November 07, 2017, 09:01:37 PM
Yes, I think that online banking and paper money will become obsolete in the next 20 years. Bitcoin has a huge chance to replace them. It still needs some upgrades but it is quite fast and convenient if you don't use it for daily shopping. Banks are afraid of Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies because they won't be needed in the future. Their only purpose would be loans.
105  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Did Trezor just release a next version of their wallet? on: November 06, 2017, 10:15:24 PM
Trezor T looks like an interesting hardware wallet. I have been using Ledger hardware wallets since I started my journey with cryptocurrencies. I think I'll order the latest Trezor. Touchscreen, microsd support and price lower than Ledger Blue really tempt me. 140 euro is not a lot considering how much bitcoins I have. I have never used Trezor before.
106  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you believe in god? on: November 06, 2017, 10:11:55 PM
I don't believe in God because I don't have any reason to do so. I have worked hard and that's why I have a decent life right now. It's because someone has helped me. I consider myself as an atheist. I don't mind people who have faith but I hate people who are trying to convince me that God exists. I'm open for discussions but usually such people have no rational arguments.
107  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Can We Make Sure Bitcoin Never Ends? on: November 06, 2017, 10:04:11 PM
Nothing last forever. Bitcoin probably will end sometime. However, it will take a lot of time before it happens. Bitcoin has opportunity to become widely used in many countries. It is just a matter of time. I wouldn't be surprised if Bitcoin was used in a few countries in the next 20 years. Also, we have to think what is its possible price in the near future.
108  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Support btc against s2x by running a core node on: November 06, 2017, 10:00:58 PM
I'm also thinking of setting up a full node. I would like to contribute to this wonderful community. Does anyone here run a full node on a raspberry pi? I have a spare hard drive but I don't have any computer part laying around. I would like to support Bitcoin Core development team because I understand the threat which is SegWit2x.
109  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WHAT WAS YOUR INVESTMENT IN BITCOIN on: November 06, 2017, 09:57:10 PM
Good for you! Being patient and not giving up is very important here. People mostly are too emotional in trading. I invested in Bitcoin a long time ago and I was able to make a fortune. Now, I invest in Bitcoin mining and trading. I try to participate in every crypto related event that is in my country. I have a very interesting life thanks to Bitcoin!
110  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do Banks fear cryptocurrency on: November 06, 2017, 09:54:58 PM
Banks are afraid of cryptocurrencies and we shouldn't be surprised. Bitcoin allows us to become our own banks, we no longer need 3rd party to keep our funds secure. The only purpose of banks in the future could be loans and acting as an exchange. It will be hard to replace paper money with cryptocurrencies mostly because of banks. They are afraid of being ditched.
111  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Government regulation of bitcoin on: November 06, 2017, 09:51:14 PM
I don't think that governments banning Bitcoin have a huge impact on it. Some small countries have already banned Bitcoin and it didn't change anything at all. Exchange ban in China caused price to decrease by about 30% but it quickly recovered. Now China is thinking about unbanning Bitcoin. I'm not surprised at all, it had to happen.
112  Economy / Economics / Re: The future of the paper money on: November 06, 2017, 09:46:05 PM
We are definitely part of upcoming financial revolution. Paper money will be replaced by cryptocurrencies soon. Personally, I thought that we would switch completely to cashless transactions and pay with credit or debit cards. Now, paying with smartphone becomes more and more popular so in the end it might be not that difficult to convince people to cryptocurrencies.
113  Economy / Economics / Re: Is bitcoin a good way to invest your money ? on: November 06, 2017, 09:39:10 PM
It is good to invest in Bitcoin anytime. It is never too late. People said that Bitcoin was too expensive 3 years ago and now most of them feels bad because they didn't invest back then. Now they are blaming Bitcoin for their own mistake. Also many people say that Bitcoin is the biggest scam of XXI century. If Bitcoin was a financial pyramid, it would be one of the best ones.
114  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: free wallet ? on: November 06, 2017, 09:34:58 PM
If your balance is 1 btc or higher, I think you should use Electrum at least. Don't keep it on exchanges.

You should use Electrum even if you don't have 1 BTC. 0,01 BTC could be worth a fortune in the near future. Electrum is much safer than web wallets because you are in control of your private keys. The latest update of Electrum has introduced SegWit support. I would recommend you to use this type of address if you decide to use Electrum.
115  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: question about "faucet" on: November 06, 2017, 09:29:19 PM
Yes, it is possible to make some money with a faucet. However, you won't earn any significant amount with them. You'd better not waste your time and spend it on learning how does Bitcoin work. If you have enough knowledge you can try to join a signature campaign. You will be able to earn more money than you think!
116  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you store your bitcoins? on: November 06, 2017, 09:26:26 PM
I am using Blockchain wallet, and I must say that I am more than happy with it. So far I have never had any kind of problem, and I intend to stay with it. I have heard that offline wallet is safest wallet person can have, and I have been thinking to transfer my Bitcoins on it. But I have decided not to, because it is not worth it. I do not have big sum of Bitcoins, so Ill stick to the Blockchain wallet.

A lot people have been complaining about Blockchain wallet. Some of them claim that they BTC disappeared without any warning. Even if you don't have any significant amount I would recommend you to install Electrum. The newest version finally supports SegWit addresses. Electrum will be safer because you will be able to manage your private keys.
117  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin really secure? on: November 06, 2017, 09:12:37 PM
Yes, Bitcoin is secure. Storing Bitcoin by yourself is way safer than fiat in banks. Offline wallets are the safest way to store your bitcoins because your private keys are never exposed to your computer. Bitcoin transaction are also irreversible and it's almost impossible to guess someone's private key. The same thing goes for the seed.
118  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When Can Bitcoin Be Mainstream? on: November 06, 2017, 09:11:03 PM
Bitcoin is already the most popular cryptocurrency but it will take a lot of time before ordinary people start using it. However, people are becoming slowly more and more aware of current financial system flaws. It's a matter of time before Bitcoin or some other cryptocurrency will be used by everyone in our daily lives. It is possible in the next 20 years.
119  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin Die Because of China? on: November 06, 2017, 09:04:34 PM
Of course Bitcoin won't die that easily. Bitcoin exchange ban in China caused a 30% decrease in Bitcoin price but it quickly recovered. Now it looks like China wants to unban Bitcoin exchanges again. That's hilarious, now we can clearly see that the only thing they wanted was to manipulate the price. Did they cash out and bought BTC for less?
120  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: SegWit2x hard fork and its consequences (Poll) on: November 06, 2017, 09:01:02 PM
I'm against SegWit2x hard fork so I'm going to sell it for Bitcoin. I'm still not sure if I will sell my BTC and buy more during correction. More and more companies that signed the New York Agreement started to withdraw from it. I'm not surprised at all. I was quite sure it would eventually happen. Now the only thing left is to wait and see what will happen.
