1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][rICO]Antshares ICO 5,000 BTC Raised! Developer Initiative Coming Soon! on: August 31, 2016, 10:38:28 AM
5000 coins raised? Amazing... Spot on for the healthy development of this coin.
I think Antshares is amongst the top 4 most exciting  crypto projects this year.
The team and white paper is pretty impressive. Looking forward to seeing the impact Antshares will have within this sphere. Smiley
2  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: KNCMINER Jupiter - Anyway to Pause mining? on: August 31, 2016, 10:33:20 AM
As far as the API output is telling me, it only shows one PGA for each chip/module i.e. one for each Neptune cube. So if it's a single Jupiter you should have to disable 6 PGAs. If disabling all the pools works out that would be easier, but I've not tried it.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum GPU Mining Optimisations for Pools on: August 28, 2016, 05:07:12 PM

Extra Watts Dual mining is 27%.

R9 290 uses 45watts.

This costs (in UK) £0.10 more each day.
The extra SC (SIA) is worth £0.27 more each

Therefore, not really much reason not to Dual mine, plus there is an extra 2.5 Eth at pool each day.

Is that for one 290 card that you get £0.27 more each card? So the extract earning is £0.17 per card.

That might not worth the dual mining.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Still worth buying GPUs? on: August 25, 2016, 10:56:55 AM

All in all I think anyone buying a GPU at any point over the past 5 years would have made profit, as it seems there is always a new coin or algorithm introduced to replace the ones that die off or go asic. Some months you may only be making a few dollars or cents per GPU profit, but then it seems every 6 month or so something new hits where you can hit hardware ROI in as little as 30 days.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [IOTA] IOTA Speculation on: August 24, 2016, 07:35:19 PM
Honestly, I care very little to write faster than anybody else, if you do to enter this thread without contributing anything, just to fight with your "enemy" Admiral.
I do not think that's the attitude expected of the leader of a project.

If you think a bot is logical and is not a lack of respect to all who follow this forum, we certainly have different ways of thinking.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM (XEM) Official Thread - 100% New Code - Easy To Use APIs on: August 24, 2016, 07:33:18 PM
Bitcoin itself is only used by a million people around the world.  Getting people to use crypto currencies is an education campaign and a simple brochure (even with measly freebies attached - which I don't like) would have a very low effectiveness rate.

I've seen the marketing strategies used by Litecoin and Dogecoin.  Back in 2013 they were spamming on large internet forums like Bodybuilding but it wasn't an education campaign "why you should use cryptos" but more like "hear about dat Bitcoin chyieet?  Well throw money at Litecoin and make $$$$"

However unethical it was for LTC / Doge people to pass off their coin as a money flipping opportunity, I don't think anyone on their forum ever writes: "hey guys, remember in 2013 when you were passing off money flipping opportunities to random people on the internet?".

Note for Miners.

To work out how often you should hit a block with your hashpower,
get the difficulty and hashrate and price from here https://etherhub.io/home
Get the blocktime/interval from here http://fork.ethstats.net/

8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][rICO] Antshares ico halfway, already 4400+ BTC on: August 24, 2016, 12:31:06 PM
Any news after ending of ICO? Do we need to trade it on Chinese exchange too?

BOTH Chinese and Overseas exchanges will be available!
and not just one overseas exchange, you will see some familiar names, but that's all I can shed now

but of course you're welcome to trade on a Chinese exchange as well, for pros.

No doubt that bter will add you, maybe yunbi will do it as well. The most challenge is btc38, do you know their ceo? If yes, easy mission.  Grin

While i don't discriminate against nobody. You should probably use one of the more reputable exchanges they get listed to over the first one you mentioned. With a team as large as there i'd say they have some swing to get listed on many of the top exchanges. I would like to trade at poloniex and with there 25 delisted coins this has a great shot at it.
The more exchanges it get listed, the better for investors.I hope some Indian exchange also list it as I assume lots of Indian have put there money in ICO and will continue to support antshares

Antshares and MetaVerse are great china based projects. Great to see some more  good crypto projects coming from this part of the world.
I am not acquainted to any indian exchanges but it would be great if they added Antshares.
9  Economy / Speculation / Re: Which bitcoin price ticker do you watch and what settings most interest you? on: August 24, 2016, 12:28:55 PM

qoute i have never heard about bitcoinity.org before but it looks to be good, i use bitcoinwisdom.com for live price and charts of different exchanges in one cool place and also preev for a quick price check (price also shows up on the tab here).

but for simple ticker like on the sidebar of a website i like the coindesk ticker widget http://www.coindesk.com/price/bitcoin-price-ticker-widget/ because it also has a small 24 hour chart implemented inside of it. qoute

Yes Bitcoinwisdom great

Could you give me an elevator pitch for Metaverse? how does it differ from the other platforms ie eth, bitshares, nxt
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: DAPPSTER - BLOCKCHAIN PLATFORM - A NEW INNOVATIVE COIN. on: August 23, 2016, 12:30:03 PM
Can I ask why anyone is considering investing in this crappy coin produced by a scam dev?

Its all about ROI...... at the current market cap - it can only go up over time with increased development and community support.
So far - there is nothing to indicate that this is a scam project. Always invest what you are willing to lose. The risk to reward ratio is just too good for DAPPSTER.
You can own 1 % of the project for $150. How wrong can it go. Maybe you lose $150 as this doesn't take off which is the equivelent of a 5 hour shift as a bar tender in Australia. Big deal.
Upside. This coin grows and your $150 becomes $3000, if this reaches a market cap of $300k which is very plausible.

12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][rICO] Antshares ico halfway, already 4400+ BTC on: August 23, 2016, 12:00:40 PM
any proof the 4400btc is 'real investor' ? sometimes i think the bitcoin is only 'fake ico' , dev send the bitcoin to his ico address for make more people invest at rICO ?  Undecided

The 1000BTC invested in this project is still a mystery to me. I don't understand. I just there is no more to it than we already know

This is kinda normal in China, part of a high-value's individual's portfolio. One day you may do the same once landed on the moon.(Bitcoin will do that for you, antshare may be able to supply some parts to the ship).

Haha. This is not a serious reply, but you get the point.

Some rich chineese dude believes in Antshares and invested 1000 BTC, what is so mysterious about that?
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: DAPPSTER - BLOCKCHAIN PLATFORM - A NEW INNOVATIVE COIN. on: August 23, 2016, 11:58:23 AM
How is this project still worth only $15k...
You can just about get a ford KA for that  and this project has got the same capabilities as a 30 million dollar platform,  active community & more. Furthermore its probably done just as much development as Rise which is valued at 750k. We now have a cooler name than Rise. There is too much opportunity for this coin to moon.

To answer your question : WHALES!!!! If someone with 100+ BTC has the balls to take a risk and start buying DAPPSTER then it can hit a marketcap of $500,000 as he will be able to buy all coins, or a lot of the supply. Dev is still here too, so that is also good.

You're still here and will be until you sell all of your shitcoin dappster, once that is done placebo people he will move onto his next copy of a scam. He done ok with LISKDICE recently, he never even has to spend time developing. If you get a chance to get out of this then get out asap. First and final warning on the matter.

Dappster is less shit than 99 % of the coins valued at below $300k which has more trading volume.
Its just a matter time before people realise that a 20 x increase is extremely plausible.
If Placebo is the Dev, he is doing a good job at sticking around and engaging in the forward movement of this coin.

14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Sling | Decentralized Markets | HTML5 UI | Rebasing on: August 22, 2016, 10:33:41 PM
I like this - how many sling coins in total?
what is the market cap of this coin ?
Hi @bitwhizz and welcome. The total supply is 1,295,298 Sling coins at 3,300 sats (Bittrex) or ~$28,000.  It was half that yesterday and usually is between $10,000 and $20,000 total market cap.

I don't expect the market cap to rise much until I have finished developing a stable code base (we are getting closer) that we can use to swap our chain.  Please let us know if you have questions.

How much longer do you think it will be?

To be honest, another 4-6 months.  Making progress on the new core.

Ok thats great,
How many developers are working on this coin?
Also how much funds are allocated for the development of this coin? Will you plan to raise funds through another ICO?

So this is another wave project?  Wink

4400 BTC for 23% token?  and dev team hold 50% token.

technically speaking the dev team does not "hold" this 50m ANS at all.
We have repeatedly explained this 50m would be held by a smart contract upon the mainnet launch.
And they'll be LOCKED for at least one year.
After that, a max.15m could go into circulation per year.

And, it's NOT FOR the dev team, either.
Quote
1 year after the formal release, this 50 million ANS (and AntCoins generated by them) could be used for the support of the Antshares Eco-System. Such support may include but not limited to Antshares-related crowdfunding sites, exchanges, wallets, gateways, developers, ESOPs, marketing, advisors of specialized fields, etc. But they cannot directly be traded on an exchange.

As for the investment volume, this is the first blockchain project that launches with help from BOTH Chinese and Overseas community(we have a lot to catch up in English community I must confess), the first open-source original project from a Chinese team, the first to announce real-world applications at least in China.......just think about how many "first"s are there.

however, we do have a refund policy in place in case ppl feel the volume is too high Wink
This project is very exciting. The case studies seem promising & i always trust the Chineese to deliver quality end products especially in this case based on the team profiles. Lets see how Antshares perform. Good luck to Antshares.

I have just added the signature - do you have a form to fill which records the signature bounty members (as per usual)?

Also your valuing Pokechain at $100k. it is wiser that you let the public decide how much they think its worth by creating an ICO which gives out Poke tokens depending on the funds raised.
