1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: InflationCoin - IFLT - 4% POS - SourceForge Project of the week 2018 on: August 15, 2023, 11:35:12 AM
Running out of connections. Can anyone please post the latest addnodes?
The chainz IFLT explorer seems to be down again, this had node information IIRC.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: InflationCoin - IFLT - 4% POS - SourceForge Project of the week 2018 on: April 18, 2023, 02:29:15 AM
Main issue remains to get IFLT listed on an exchange. Everything else will fall in place.

I assume Bean Cash is also dead now with Stakecube as one of the last exchanges going bust.
Farewell.

Ping, still alive, node running.

What next? Just had a mid level disaster, last I think there was a discord discussion here?

We have those guys who set up the node, and the guy who invested to do that, if that isn't you.
As a matter of fact there is not any working exchange anymore. Yobit you cannot count as they run isolated on a local chain without withdrawals or deposits possible.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: InflationCoin - IFLT - 4% POS - SourceForge Project of the week 2018 on: June 27, 2022, 05:06:57 AM
So, we need 1...2 guys interested to keep this project alive. Also Crocodilecash and Bitbean which suffer the same.

Maybe a few more that need to be reactivated and updated.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: InflationCoin - IFLT - 4% POS - SourceForge Project of the week 2018 on: June 27, 2022, 05:03:52 AM
Apparently it is, and it was foreseeable. So now we need a new exchange.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: InflationCoin - IFLT - 4% POS - SourceForge Project of the week 2018 on: June 27, 2022, 05:00:31 AM
C-Patex changed the login. You need to register new. Meaning if you had existing balances they are gone.

IFLT is also gone. Is this a new scam?
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: InflationCoin - IFLT - 4% POS - SourceForge Project of the week 2018 on: June 26, 2022, 07:47:24 AM
There is no update to IFLT. Yobit hijacked that coin as many other staking coins a long time ago. They do not have any interest to get back to the regular IFLT blockchain. It's one big scam exchange and always was.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: InflationCoin - IFLT - 4% POS - SourceForge Project of the week 2018 on: May 09, 2022, 04:56:15 AM
Looking forward, we need some ideas.

IFLT needs to be ported to a current code base, that is 1st gen Bitcoin code with Proof of Stake.

There are some that tried it in the past like
DeepOnion
BeanCash
CorcodileCash

and others.

Some ideas please, what is the latest greatest Bitcoin code based PoS coin nowadays?

We could move to newest code and port the blockchain, do a hardfork and get rid of the Yobit scammers.
But it is not easy. Best would be to go on to some Metamask/ETH compatible deployment but that is beyond my/our current capabilities.
Someone interested to join, feel free.

I set a 10 million IFLT bounty to get us up, alive and kicking again on a new compatible blockchain (without Yobit). Not much now in Fiat value but potentially big in the future.

Also C-Patex as exchange is welcome to be part of it. But we need more than that.

Sources are still alive, let me see if I can perhaps compile this for Linux and made it a node. Still, not sure what the blockchain/bootstrap is that could be thrown into it. Cherry wrote block 4377899, that seems to be the latest. Could you somehow put this on Google Drive or Mega or somewhere?
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: |ANN| CrocodileCash | PoW/DPOS/PoS Hybrid | Snap Them Up Fast | Android Wallet | on: April 13, 2022, 01:39:34 PM
Anyone still around here, just rediscovered my old wallet but it seems nobody is active anymore.

I have last block 4154192 from 13 Feb 2020.

Let's revamp this.

That is all stoneage stuff that does not work properly anymore.

You can still compile it with somewhat heavy modifications and backporting. But again, the codebase would need a major upgrade.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: InflationCoin - IFLT - 4% POS - SourceForge Project of the week 2018 on: March 08, 2022, 01:26:34 PM
The (very old) code is still there, it is an early version of Bitcoin. It can probably be modified without much effort to up to date similar coins like LTC or DOGE. I'm not a progger, just saying. But that would be a next necessary step.

Anyone interested, I throw in 10 million IFLT to get the code updated. That is not much in US$ on paper now without liquidity and basically only 2 restricted markets, but who cares. The rest is self fullfilling if you do good and we gain value. Anything goes after we get some grip.

These 10 millions can also go towards an exchange listing. We need that.

Two Free listing exchanges:

I don't think anyone has done this yet.

They need project/creator/developer contacts. If anyone want to take this? Don't think original dev is still around.

I do not have the particular knowledge for that but would certainly support a community driven restart.

C-Patex is back on. I withdrew the rest of my IFLT.

How right was I, luckily I got almost all my funds out already. They say they reopen on 6 March, that will certainly not last very long. So mark the date and try to recover what could still be salvaged.

Quote from: C-Patex
Dear users

We regret to inform you that C-Patex has temporarily closed.

During these four years we have faced all kinds of difficulties and we did the impossible to move forward.

But almost at the end of our first year, in September 2018, we suffered a hack that took 80% of the assets, about 3 BTC + altcoins worth 1 more BTC. We refuse to give up. We put up money and tried to move on.

In mid-2019, another much smaller hack delayed the recovery that we had been having. Additionally, there was a tremendous crisis of confidence in altcoin exchanges from closures like Cryptopia, Coinexchange, Altilly, and more than 150 other exchanges. Altcoin markets slowed noticeably.

We constantly try to improve our security, while we continue to look for solutions and funds to be able to continue building this project as we had dreamed of. The budget was low, because we needed to recover solvency, and the marketing expenses were turned to grant rewards to try to maintain the site with a certain volume that guarantees its continuity.

Unfortunately, in January of this year, our CEO fell ill with Covid and was on the verge of death, hospitalized in intensive care, with an artificial respirator in an induced coma. In this context, the site went down for several days, affecting user confidence, and causing a panic withdrawal of deposits during the following days.

Some wallets need to be restored and synced, and solvency issues from past hacks have become acute and need to be resolved. All these tasks carried out by our CEO, who is still recovering from the consequences of the disease and hospitalization.

So we are going to stop the site until March 6th.

Thanks to the invaluable help of some communities and individuals, the possibility of closure has been ruled out. The aid ranges from donations to commitments to reinforce deposits and operations. Everything adds up and everything helps. You can also help and with your contribution, no matter how small, we will strengthen the site so that it can be reborn with more force. Thank you very much in advance!

The team of C-Patex

Yes, I saw this on Twitter. Does not exactly sound trustworthy, rather a one man show.

C-Patex was down and unreachable for a couple of days. Probably hacked. They just came online again and I withdrew my funds.

We need another exchange.

If we talk about forks, then there are only two main forks: gold is bitcoin and silver is litecoin.
How silly does it get here? You know what a fork is, aka derivative? Someone copies the code and change some of it. Like RTM is a fork of the original BTC code.

Gold and silver are metals. Go figure Smiley
