1  Economy / Economics / Re: where does Africa stand in the cryptocurrency revolution? on: November 23, 2017, 03:35:34 PM
I do not think it stands here at all because i have never known an african guy talking about bitcoin or even if thye know what it is i always need to explain to them how much is what and how it works and what it actually is.
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buying Drugs with Bitcoin ? on: November 23, 2017, 03:29:08 PM
People that used Bitcoin to buy drugs most feel terrible thinking about all that cash they could of had.

So what you are saying? Back then no one thought that the Bitcoin prices would increase by 1,000x. That's how one of the users (Laszlo Hanyecz) purchased a pizza spending BTC10,000 ($80 million in today's exchange rate). You can still find the pizza thread here:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=137.0

Laszlo is still active, although he doesn't post much these days.

Good that i saw this post, because my first impression was that this thread is about drugs like marijuana etc  Grin

Laszlo is a legend! I'm not sure if it was his billboard, because he payd 10k BTC and on this billboard is 5k BTC.
People on this forum confirm that was real and was somewhere in Los Angeles:

Chemical compounds are very dangerous, so I always advise against buying any medicines/drugs over the internet unless they are natural.

But if you're talking about paying for drugs in "on ground" pharmacies, that's a great idea! Bitcoin adaptation in every industry is another step forward and development.

Is that billboard real and was it set up by the actual buyer of the pizza?

Its a Giga-watt billboard.  They runs hydro powered mining operation in Washington.  They held an ICO earlier this.  Laszlo Hanyecz should copyright his story.
I agree with you but i personally knew that people would buy and sell drugs through bitcoins because it is anonymous and no one knows when what happened i could pay a couple of bitcoins for a good stash of marijuana and no one would notice.
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is BTC for you? on: November 23, 2017, 03:11:00 PM
For me btc is something very special because i like it very much and i hope to continue with it for a long time it has given me a lot of time to think and know what i should know it has also changed my personality a bit i am now able to control my money.
4  Economy / Economics / Re: Difference of Trading and Investing? on: November 14, 2017, 10:29:33 AM
The difference is you make more and faster through trading because your actually investing in more coins than one and investing you need to wait and have patience that your coin will grown and give you profit after you have put money in it.
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How did you first hear about bitcoin? on: November 13, 2017, 12:00:30 PM
Are you a bitcoin fan?
Do you spend a lot of time on bitcoin? Reading news, trading, or even writing your own analysis.
But how did you first hear about bitcoin?
Is it some articles you read about? Or just from a friend who has traded bitcoin for a long time?

Share your experience with us. Grin
I've first seen bitcoin in social media and it was shared by my friend. At first, I thought it was just another networking. Even though I was trying not to give attention to it, still I asked because of curiousity and because of the changes I have seen with him through the past months. He told me a lot about bitcoin, from how much did he earn so far up to how did he earn that large amount of money. I gave it a try and bitcoin did not disappoint me.
My first time i ever heard about bitcoin was when my boss asked me if i wanted to make some money for myself. I obviously said yes and he told me go invest in bitcoin. I was like bitcoin? why would i do that. He said trust me you will make a lot of money but i didn't believe him and now i am sad.
6  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Bitcoin also lead to corruption ? on: November 09, 2017, 10:15:38 AM
I do not think that it can lead to corruption because it is just your own money and you should just do whatever you want to do with it and i would suggest to just do what you want i hear from people if i keep my bitcoins am i greedy then no your money your life do what you want with it.
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How much risk in bitcoin investement ? on: November 07, 2017, 11:11:57 AM
With investment money in bitcoin is risky, certainly bitcoin we drop by up to 100% because even lost stolen hackers, there is no guarantee bitcoin system of safe from thieves.
Can't your fiat money be stolen ? Or your investments in stocks/bonds are coming with zero risk for your money ? Bitcoin is just another type of investment so it also comes with all usual risks typically an investment will be having.

100% drop is only possible with lost bitcoins, value will never drop that much. But, honestly compared to any other investment types like bank deposits/real estate opportunities, I believe bitcoin investment is good as it is fetching high returns in quick times and hence I am ready to bear the risks it is having.
Bitcoin has a risk but not that high for an investment because the price is getting stable now because the supply is well distributed to the new users who demanded bitcoins from an exchange. Bitcoin is one of the best investment as well as real estate investment because they are both almost safe investment for me.

Do you really believe that real estate is a safe investment? This is not entirely true. Maybe is more resistant in time but real estate follows the development and economic progress of the country which is located. As an example look the prices in UK before and after brexit.
Probably a safe investment in developing countries, Malaysia, Indonesia, some south American countries.
I met a couple once who bought a big house in Cambodia for 20 000 EUR a few years ago, now it is worth 100 000 at least.
But not everyone can invest in real estate, and for now, the profit made with Bitcoin is more interesting and obviously much quicker.
Don't be too greedy with Altcoins though (or pray you get lucky.)  Smiley
I agree with you but it is safe for me too and we are a developed country since way back i will say it is not risky if you earn them you do not even have to invest anything at all just earn everything and you will make profit.
I guess you mean earning Bitcoin by joining signature campaigns, in that case I agree. You will need time though to earn like 0.1 BTC, then 0.2 BTC but be patient and dedicated, Rome was not built in one day...
I agree with you earning 0.1 BTC a day is almost impossible unless you have been here way too long and know how it all works i have a friend who earns that amount and he is doing this for 3 years so that will take the time.
That is true i do not earn anything at all at the moment but i do think i can earn that after 3 years because my rank would be every high and i would know a lot more about it than you think so i would be able to earn 0.1 BTC a day.
Why do you think you can earn 0.1 BTC a day after 3 years i do not think that that is even possible to get because you are earning a couple of 900 dollars a day that is a crazy amount for someone to earn.
8  Economy / Economics / Re: Which one is good, trading or investing? on: November 06, 2017, 10:36:54 AM
Both are good because both make profit i would say trading because it is the fastest way and this way you can learn more about other coins and not just bitcoin i would suggest to do that as it gives you more than you can earn with only bitcoin.
9  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you think billionaires invest in BTC? on: November 03, 2017, 10:27:21 AM
I think they have already seen the potential of bitcoin. Some of them have already invested, but they will not show it. They are just gaining more money by investing in bitcoin.

They can just invest, because the money they give for a investment is nothing for them actually.
10  Economy / Economics / Re: Is bitcoin dead? on: November 02, 2017, 10:48:47 AM
It just reached his highest level 7k? i do not think it is dead yet because it is still rising bitcoin can not die that easily because it is an old coin and it is very popular among people and if it dies people will want their money back.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Wil Ethereum surpass Bitcoin in the long term? on: October 23, 2017, 09:18:13 AM
I think for myself not because many people trust in bitcoin while i know some people that don't trust altcoins. I trust fully in bitcoin so its would be hard for me to trust and invest in eth.

I have made some profit from investing in bitcoin so thats why i still use it also bitcoin is for me the best coin.
12  Economy / Economics / Re: Is bitcoin a good way to invest your money ? on: October 13, 2017, 11:01:57 AM
Definitely yes. Perhaps it needed to be done much earlier, when Bitcoin's price was lower. But since the Βitcoine continues to grow, you can successfully invest today and get a big profit in the near future.
I agree if bitcoin is good or Nice means to store your wealth or money investment in bitcoin, because in the bitcoin can give a huge profit when the price reaches the bitcoin high price. bitcoin can also serve as a long-term savings account and you can use also at any time if necessary. in the bitcoin can we regulate and supervise our financial sendri easily without a bond in a company.
Maybe we have a lot of users out there that is investing their some portion of wealth here in bitcoin and I heart that even Trumph has bought btc as well. I myself do the same I invest 80% of my money here rather than storing it in a bank with a cheap rate at least here I can play and do what I want with my investment.
80%? Wow thats too big and somehow risky thing to make and i do see you do have really high hopes on bitcoins success in the future but the thing you do here is really risky putting almost all of your holding or assets in bitcoin. It is indeed a good investment but well if you do know the risk on bitcoin then it should be fine as long you do know on when to exit when everythings go wrong.
I think if someone has the money in their bank accounts, they should immediately withdraw their savings and invest in bitcoin. If I have I will do the same because bitcoin is one of the top coin online businesses in the world in this day and the other benefit is that it is also a currency which is acceptable all over the world. So that I would be able buy anything anywhere in the world without converting.

Well you should not invest all your savings in to bitcoin. What if bitcoin falls to zero. They would be furious. Invest a little bit of your savings is better.

You can see if you are making money and then you can invest more.
13  Economy / Speculation / Re: what you think about bitcoin in like 5 years? on: October 12, 2017, 10:34:11 AM
In a 5 years i see bitcoin that its very high. Many people are already telling that and someone told that experts are saying this lol, but i think it will go even higher than 50k dollars.

I will hold my coins until the time comes. I will face the sell order and sell them all.
14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: is it risky to turn all my money to bitcoins? on: October 10, 2017, 03:13:04 PM
You need to know that it isn't a scam. If you do without checking if it is scam. You would maybe lose it. For me cashing a huge amount of bitcoin is always better, because i need to pay taxes.

If i cash a huge amount of bitcoins i only need to pay a few percentage for it. If you do it in more steps. You would lose money.
15  Economy / Economics / Re: The future of the paper money on: October 03, 2017, 09:10:46 AM
Paper money will be gone in the future. When you consider it, it's 2017, but we pay a few products with money.

Also the organization bother that accompanies it for traders cash gathering is processed  by banks. Like Costing worker hours, training and fuel. While electronic exchanges like bitcoin or a great bank exchange are much more proficient! This is way better
16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should I invest In Bitcoin? on: September 25, 2017, 08:07:54 AM
I have just bought my first bitcoin today. So excited about this totaly new thing to me Smiley
I hope it will be a good investment.

I hope the best for you mate. I have also invested in bitcoin Im now waiting for to sell them when bitcoin hits 10 thousand dollars. Investing in bitcoin is a smart thing to do many of the people who have been investing in bitcoin are now rich. They are now investing in some altcoins they have made massive amount of money.
17  Economy / Economics / Re: If Bitcoin goes up very high should i buy a house? on: September 14, 2017, 07:50:02 AM
You should if you have that much bitcoins i think it is a great investment because you invested in bitcoin and then when it went high then you selled it to buy a house and live in it an extra

investment would be that you let other people live in it and the pay you rent.
