121  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What did you hear cause the dip? on: December 23, 2017, 07:21:53 PM
I think the festivals are the main reason behind this dip. It's not like I've heard things but I honestly believe that Christmas and New Years are the causes for this dip to happen. I don't believe people are getting attracted more buy altcoins than bitcoins and so they are dumping and selling what they have left. No, that can't be true. I think this is the year of time when people need cash on their hand, not online money. However, I just shared my opinion. Thank you
122  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin is going down? on: December 22, 2017, 08:00:44 PM
I think the Christmas and the new year is kind of responsible for this. People are making more transactions with money than online money. I think this "going down" of the Bitcoins value will continue until the end of the month or this year. When the price or value or rate is low, more people will tend to get a hold of more bitcoins. So, draining the value won't be a continued that long. Let see what happen in the first week of next year.
123  Economy / Speculation / Re: Below 10K before xmas? on: December 21, 2017, 07:28:49 PM
I think the rate would be around 10K for the rest of this year. Although today it changed my thoughts. But I still the price will rise again. Dropped 3K today, which means lots of people are going to buy bitcoins with lesser price. But, then the economics will start to play it's part with "Supply" and "Demand" with their friend "Price". Let's see what happen, shall we?
124  Economy / Speculation / Re: If you knew Bitcoin would never change in value, would you buy it? on: December 20, 2017, 05:35:58 PM
Yes your guess is exactly right. I'm not gonna buy it if the price or the value would never change. If you use the word "stable" then my answer would be Yes. The value of every currency changes every day. If it doesn't then it's a dead currency. This changes does not mean they are unstable. They changes every single day but they are a stable currency. So, if the value of the bitcoin become stable then I would still buy it.
125  Economy / Economics / Re: Where do you spend your money from Bitcoin? on: December 19, 2017, 06:17:53 PM
Umm, I spend most of it in Bitcoin again, you know keep the chain running. Look, it's pretty simple to me. if there's a field that gave you the opportunity to earn money and there is still a big chance left that the field will be stay blessed for some time, then why not walk the same path again?
126  Other / Off-topic / Re: Can Bitcoin be ban? on: December 18, 2017, 06:54:20 PM
It is already banned in few countries. So, it woundn't be a surprise if bitcoin got banned in more countries where it is already legal. But the thing is, bitcoin is a decentralized currency even if it is banned, there's nothing the government can do about it. But if you are thinking about "globally ban", then I think that would not happen. Cause different country has different policies. Just because of a handful of countries oppose, bitcoin would not be banned. It has grown much bigger now.
127  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the most attractive concept about Bitcoin? on: December 17, 2017, 06:58:30 PM
"It's a currency as well as an asset" this is one of the attractive concept of bitcoin. "Bitcoin has no country boundary" it's another attractive thing. You can tell a newbie in short that "cryto currency is online money".
128  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Money can buy happiness? on: December 15, 2017, 08:30:30 PM
Totally agree with you. I was thinking about writing the same thing when I saw the title of this thread. Happiness really does not depend on money. It depends on the persons need and level of satisfaction. If you can't control you hunger for money then you can't find happiness. That's the truth, cause I didn't see a single person in this world who is hungry and still happy. Nobody loves hunger and none love to starve.
129  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is garbage. on: December 14, 2017, 06:13:11 PM
Honestly speaking, you get the idea of bitcoin all wrong. The way I see it, Bitcoin is not meant for giving tips. You wanna know why? Cause it is not garbage. I don't think bitcoin is here to take over the entire uses of national currency. Tips is a kind of thing you would do with dollar or euro. If you can't accept it then yes bitcoin really is garbage.
130  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Panic selling vs Panic buying on: December 11, 2017, 07:32:33 PM
That is exactly correct. It's lot more better to make less profit than go through a loss. Even if the loss is with a little amount still it's bad. The person could make a profit with that money instead so it's a double loss. But Panic selling is safer. If you sell too quickly when the price of bitcoins shows an up stream, then you make some profit but you might be able to make more if you could wait a little to reach that price a bit more. But you must keep in mind that you won't be able to get much interested buyer if you wish to sell your coins in a higher rate.

To be very honest, the guy sounds a lot like "brokenchair". It's not something that regularly happen that you get to know "a guy's" email with so much detail and still being able to remember it after 4 years. And if I presume, this "guy" we are talking about here is your friend then I must say you are not a very good friend, you introduced your friend as "a guy". As for your problem, I believe the guy need to go keep digging with blockchain.info. 12words always refers to blockchain.info as far as my knowledge.

Lol no it is not me, it is really a guy I work with, and he showed me the emails, as he knows I used be involved and what not (granted I still use it to this day for one of its useful purposes...gambling.)  He actually bought the btc because some pharmacy or something said they accepted it and there was an issue with his card or something.  I'd sure as hell not be ashamed of having over $70k in an old wallet, i'd be happy as hell.  No reason to be spiteful and not help him out because i've made terrible calls with btc, which is something to be ashamed of  Embarrassed

Thank you to clarify who was "the guy" we are talking about here. Hope you make good call with Bitcoins from now on. And be able to stop being ashamed of yourself and be "happy as hell". All the best.

134  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: unconfirmed transaction on: December 07, 2017, 06:52:50 PM
Doesn't sound like it's been only 5-10 minutes that your transactions is still unconfirmed. And I don't think it's been 30 minutes either. May I ask how long it has been since your transaction is not confirmed? Anyway, I think it would all be good. You just need to have some patience. Good luck.
135  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How do you withdraw money from Bitcoin? on: December 05, 2017, 07:15:42 PM
I think "withdraw" is not the proper word here. Yeah it makes sense that bitcoin is your money and you are getting it in a "Cash form". But I think there is a difference here. Let's put it this way. You have some dollars and you wish to own some euro. Then what you are going to do? You are going to exchange it or you might say "sell' it for euro or "buy" euro with dollars. It's not like you are withdrawing euro. I think you got my point.
