Mine it, besides it would be kinda dick move to sell gift. Unless it's somekinda of weird vase or something.

Haha. You could probably use it as a vase, but a word of advice though... Don't put water in it while it's plugged in...  Cheesy

I shipped it this morning by the way and PMed you the tracking number.

And we have a winner!!  Cheesy

Congratulations @kurbeks, my birth year is 1984. May I ask whether it was just a lucky guess or do you just have mad Google skills?
@Kurbeks I'm sending you a PM to get your address details.
I've asked OgNasty to confirm my birth year on the topic.

And thanks to everyone who participated. Hopefully we as a forum can have a lot more of these in the future.

But how else am I going to go create an account for every year that isn't claimed?   Shocked

(Sarcasm.  Only have 1 account and you have a point, should be a somewhat small minimum amount of posts required before the date this was announced)

1993

Maybe there should be rules in place as well so that brand new accounts whose first post is on this giveaway aren't eligible? Just a thought.

Not a bad idea, but I'm afraid it's a bit late now to change the rules. Might keep it in mind for future giveaways (hint hint)  Smiley

Someone already won?  Shocked

Do tell

Haha. Patience patience. Let's stick to the rules I set forth originally. I'll confirm tomorrow (Friday) 23:00 CET  Wink

1992

I already said that one - I think he should be allowed to guess again Smiley

Go on vincl... feel free to take another guess.
6  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Antminer A3 giveaway [for free to the community] on: February 21, 2018, 10:55:21 PM
Pretty sure its 1992.
Can you have the trusted escrow confirm here? Are you sending them the device so that they can release it?
Wondering if this belongs in another section due to the nature of the post, hopefully someone else can provide guidance.
Good luck to all.

Yes, I can ask them to confirm here. I was planning on sending the device directly to the winner. What would the benefit be of me sending it to escrow first?
And yes please, I'm open to suggestions if this is the wrong section for the post...

Which makes you 45 yrs old.
So 1973 it is ; )

Haha! Classic. I was actually born in South Africa...  Wink
8  Economy / Computer hardware / Antminer A3 giveaway [for free to the community] on: February 21, 2018, 10:24:09 PM
I have a fully working Antminer A3 that I would like to give away to the first person who is able to guess my birth year.

The rules are simple:
1. Only one guess per person.
2. The first person to guess my birth year wins.
3. Guesses must be made publicly (no PM please)
4. I'll announce the winner Friday 23:00 CET.
5. I have shared my birth year with a trusted forum escrow already. They have kindly agreed to confirm my birth year afterwards.

I will pay shipping so there is absolutely no cost to the winner (Except maybe import duties. I'm shipping from Switzerland)

Happy guessing everyone and please keep your posts clean, respectable and on-topic.

PS. In case anyone is wondering, this is the same miner I tried to unsuccessfully sell here -> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2893877.20

Sent a PM.

Sorry, currently busy doing a deal with @jrc209...

Okay, so this deal was unsuccessful... again. Closing this topic as I'm getting tired of trying to sell it.

Bitcoin is more than just Forex (due to lack of a central bank), especially once things like Rootstock (smart contracts) come into fruition. But that explanation was pretty good for someone who has absolutely no clue about Bitcoin (your mom in this case).

Just make sure she knows that she could lose a significant portion if things go bad and that she should mentally prepare for that scenario. I don't think it will happen, but it's best to be prepared anyways.

Thanks. Yes definitely agree. At that moment in time however forex was the only quick comparison I could draw on to explain to her that it’s not like putting your money in a “savings” account and drawing interest from it 😆

we had a deal?HuhHuhHuhHuh??

What deal? After I initiated the escrow you disappeared.. below is the last time I heard from you...

----

Can this be done with paypal ognasty? I am low on crypto

I’d be VERY surprised if OgNasty accepts paypal.
@OgNasty, care to comment on above?

Don't be ridiculous.

Two days while i get more crypto? My farm pays once a week, Also yesterday was valentines day  so yes I spent the day with my wife  as its our anniversary! What a shock?

It's three days to be exact. Okay, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and continue the deal.
As we agreed $1200 + $250 shipping (miner only). Please initiate the escrow with OgNasty. How long do you need to get crypto?

Thanks

Sent you a pm

Thanks, but have a few people in the queue. With luck though I'll reach you soon. Seems every deal I try and make either results in the user not getting back to me, or a misunderstanding of some sorts...
16  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] Bitmain Antminer A3 on: February 14, 2018, 08:34:13 PM
Sent you a PM as well if you are interested.

Thanks, replied to your PM. I have a few people interested in front of you
17  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] Bitmain Antminer A3 on: February 14, 2018, 08:33:06 PM
I'd be interested ($1650 shipped to USA) if you would do paypal and i'd cover the fee's involved.  Can provide references if needed (I buy a lot on ebay, have 1000+ positive feedback as a buyer).   Shoot me an email.  ericjh801@utahcryptomining.com

Thanks

Selling A3 & APW3++. Chips are working 100%. It was hashing reliably since I got it on the 25th of Jan until I switched it off on the 5th of Feb. Selling because I can't stand the noise anymore. It's louder than my leaf blower. Come to think of it, I could probably use this thing as a leaf blower but the power cable is too short, and I have quite a big garden.

$1400 including power supply, $1200 without power supply.

I'll only do forum escrow.

I'm in Switzerland, but willing to ship internationally if buyer pays shipping in full (roughly $250 / 2-3 day shipping to USA)

Sorry, but I only do crypto + forum escrow
