1201  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which Altcoins did you have (All time in your protofilo) on: May 24, 2022, 08:51:55 PM
I only have that mindset of if I would invest other than Bitcoin, it would be Ethereum. I don't really want to risk it too much during this bearish market to just go and buy whatever coins are cheap out there especially that I really don't like getting myself involved with another shitcoin just like what happened to me back then.

PS: I had not yet bought any Ethereum.

Bold move if it a newer project. There are those people creating newer project just to take people's money and not even trying because their coin/whitepaper/team does not exist at all.
Like usual, people should just stay in the top coins in the CMC if they're looking for something to buy. It is bearish market anyway, so most coins would be at its lows.
1203  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Correcting newbie's can be done in a nicer way using a polite approach on: May 24, 2022, 07:53:15 PM
2. Some newbies mistake constructive criticism for being hardened on them. This is especially newbies that have not experienced cyber bullying. So, any statement that does not please or praise them is mistaken as an attack.

Nevertheless, there are people who delights in attacking newbies and there's nothing we can do about that. So, according to my senior colleagues here, newbies should learn to develop thick skin. This corresponds with the statement of a certain bird, "As men has learnt how to shoot without missing, we have also learnt how to fly without petching".
This is true to be honest. It applies not just in this forum, but to the whole internet as well even in video games. The tone of the sentence also adds up and people think that the sentence that the one that gave the criticism is categorized as being aggressive. This is why sometimes I try to use emojis to point out that I am not being too harsh on my criticism, so that I can tone out the mood of what I was trying to say.

Though to be honest some people need to thicken up their skin in the internet. It's plenty of strangers and trolls out there and you can't avoiding encountering one.
1204  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you buying the dip? on: May 23, 2022, 08:26:42 PM
Everyone wants to buy at the bottom. Nobody wants otherwise. But in the cryptocurrency market, there must be a long bear market to buy coins from the bottom. It's really a wait that takes patience. That's why I see the days of big market crashes as a better opportunity. On such days, I buy valuable assets such as Bitcoin & Ethereum and sell them at the first positive reaction. I try to buy when everyone is selling, and to sell when everyone is buying. I'm not 100% successful, but my tactic mostly works.
Let's see how many will be taking that word "patience". People have been underestimating that "word" too much especially during these days. These days, I only hold Bitcoin for now. I was thinking of rebuying Ethereum again since I was not hodling one back when I quitted day trading, but meh.
1205  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What might occur on the next bear market on: May 22, 2022, 07:24:46 PM
I have seen in many threads that they are comparing what is happening now with the year 2018, the truth is that I do not see much logic in it, as I have said before, the circumstances of 2018 are not the same as those of 2022, the market now moves in a very different from the other previous years, there are new protagonists, more investors, in 2018 there were not as many institutional investors as now, every hedge has to see and change a lot, in 2018 there were only the usual whales, at this time many have entered, even Elon Muisjk himself has entered the market, although the BTC community does not want him.
It's sort of happening again, but not literally the same as it was back in 2018 though in the first place, there is no point of comparing the years anyway to have a mental cushion or peace of mind due to bearish market. It is just one of those corrections that we always experience in the market.
Elon Musk just happened to joined the market as well. Maybe some newer celebrities would also just join the crypto community soon, lol.

Or just go with Bitcoin if people wanted to play it safe. The risk of also starting a new project this bearish market is quite.....moderate, considering that people would expect a lot of coins/tokens/shitcoins to be at its cheapest ones and of course scammers would take advantage of this bearish trend to run away with a lot of money causing investors to either just stop buying during these times or risk it.
1207  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to avoid huge cryptocurrency disappointment on: May 21, 2022, 08:02:34 PM
If I am single, I'd probably put my life savings into crypto and I've got my own reason for doing that. First, I'm aware of its volatility and I've experienced the highs and lows of it. Since I am single, I'll have no problems even if my portfolio goes low for bitcoin because I know that it will eventually recover. Again, this is only if I'm single but as time passes and I get to have my own family, I'll diversify it and will need to have savings for cash and as well as investments for real estate properties.
It's your money anyway. How we manage our life savings also depends on what we "want" and what we "need". If I was like a PC Building enthusiast which I am for real, I would not just invest it all in crypto considering how expensive are PC parts here in my country. I would invest some part of it to crypto, but not all of it.
I would love to do my hobby after all and not just 100% go in-depth with crypto.

Now that you mentioned day trading. I would say that top 10 coins in CMC would do although it was a pretty rough experience for me when I was learning day trading back then in Binance. I am not sure how it would go for NFTs though as I never ever touched them ever. If you're going for the trends, sure! Go for NFTs though I cannot recommend ya NFTs.
1209  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can some AltCoins pump during bear markets ? on: May 20, 2022, 09:07:48 PM

Bitcoin was like down at those years you mentioned. It was like everyone was panicking already since the corrections were so low that some people thought that it is now dead. I cannot say the same for the altcoins since they don't all just go the same way. Some do survive, but most alts that some called shitcoins aren't just barely enough even to pump back even if Bitcoin was recovering already.
This is why I do not invest that much in altcoins back in the days and now I am full into Bitcoin.. maybe for now. It's my money anyway.
1210  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: It's the year 2018 over again on: May 20, 2022, 07:31:33 PM
It is definitely not the same, bitcoin has been accepted by banks and higher institutions, companies and countries are adopting it as a payment method. It is getting more popular day by day. Many years from now it may become a global currency. If a bear market occurs again it will not be as fierce as the last one, I believe Future for 100,000$ BTC is possible.

Crypto is more popular now than it was during 2018, so what's happening now cannot be compared to what happened a few years ago. Of course, prices have been going downhill at a fast pace. But that doesn't mean it's the end of the world. This is only temporary as the best is yet to come. If you've been into crypto for some time, you'll notice that prices bounce back after every BTC halving. That's because people buy more Bitcoin due to the FOMO (Fear of Missing Out) sentiment.

With a bullish Bitcoin, altcoins will soar like crazy. I would just accumulate more coins to cash them out in the future. Who knows if you double or triple your investment in no time? Just my thoughts Grin
Man, I still remember when Bitcoin was down to 3-4k-ish in those years and I was like just "keep buying and don't press that cash out button, lol".

Also considering many crypto-related platforms that I got involved at including those web wallets I had registered for their services, it has been a lot of changes now. Bad thing is crypto wallets that are localized here in my country is getting stricter in KYC and I can't even blame them for doing it considering that there were some money laundering happening that involved digital money in here.
1211  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which Altcoin is good to invest in right into? on: May 20, 2022, 07:27:18 PM
maybe ethreum , bnb ,btc will mentioned as good coins to invest right now. this top crypto currency in cmc now and proven as good coins that could survive for long term. if we flashback look it , maybe alot project that start in same time with these coins now dying.
I mean it has been like that. I would not want to really invest into newer projects now these days. Just stay in the top 10 and you'll be fine.
So far, there has been a lot of shitshows going on when I just looked in Youtube, Twitter and Telegram.

Can't help people that are heavily influenced by emotions though. I mean why invest in the first place if you know that losses is nigh. Even if I was in a social circle of LUNA investors or whatever that is, I wouldn't be driven that much to these kinds of stuffs. I have my own gut feeling that this ain't gonna last long that much.
Unfortunately rationality disappears when it comes to these kinds of schemes.
It's mostly about the money now rather than everything.
1213  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Am curious about bounties on: May 19, 2022, 08:49:37 PM
Nowadays, I definitely prefer to participate in bounties that pay out rewards in cryptocurrencies available on the market, and preferably in stable coins. I know in advance what conditions I agree to and for how much I am working for. Unfortunately, the golden times of bounties in the ICO era, where it was possible to earn tens of thousands of dollars on one campaign, are gone and will probably never come back.
That's the edge of it for these bounties if I can see one. I hope that people won't see this forum anymore as an earning platform but instead as a forum. ICOs were like a thing in the past now back in 2017, but yeah things change pretty much and now we're at the NFT era. Who knows how many generations ahead would even know there were entertainments in cryptos, lol.
1214  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Market Analysis on: May 19, 2022, 08:03:30 PM
It is just another bearish stuff, but I wouldn't even call it fully "bearish ones" nor even a crash if people were thinking like that. It felt like a correction for me just yet especially for Bitcoin. Just buy the dip and keep holding your coins, maybe not for shitcoins though. That's a different story.

Not for a long time.  Bears sink their teeth in and everything is unstable during.  Best to stay out of flimsy plays in keep your core position in bitcoin.  I'd say we are a good year or 2 of disappointing days, get ready for it.
Never going to give up this Bitcoin I hold, lol
1215  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Monetization on: May 19, 2022, 07:50:42 PM
It's got something to do with SEO there, OP. You're not getting traffic, because even the most basic keywords used by the many is not present in your website. I don't do SEO, but I am fully aware that a website should get traffic if it just contain the right keywords.
You should be able to learn SEO for free and without spending anything although it would cost you your time, but that is all up to you.
1216  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Who’s itching to buy? on: May 18, 2022, 08:51:24 PM

Surely it will. I mean we've been in this kind of trend since the 2018s, though I am not sure about you since you probably have more experience than me in this market as I hopped into crypto early 2017, so I apologize if there would be a little bit of inexperience from my comments. Cheesy
I'll just buy more Bitcoin whenever I have the extra coin to do so and just never look the charts for a week.
1217  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is NFT's hype over? on: May 18, 2022, 08:48:33 PM
~
Maybe or maybe not. People could had fully left the NFT space just after the hype was over and just move on and go back to their usual daily stuffs. If I was like a player of many NFT games and this hype just died out, I would just quit it and never come back again.
The Axie hype in here just seemingly died out or that would just be around my social circle as I never heard anyone mentioning SLPs since a couple of months ago.
1218  Other / Meta / Re: How do you feel when someone gives you MERIT? on: May 18, 2022, 08:04:21 PM
When it was first implemented back in 2018, it was satisfying actually like you got someone's attention but overtime it felt like it is just similar to me getting upvoted in Reddit through comments (I do not post a lot lol) and it just happened that I do not look at the merit count anymore when I post in here. I just wanted to join into conversations about any topics that I seem to be interested and that's it.

It is also similar to me by the way when I get reacts from any sort of Facebook posts I made, and I don't even know anymore how much is that "99+" notification to me right now nor do I care. Cheesy
1219  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What are some expectations for a newbie aspiring to learn, earn and impact? on: May 18, 2022, 07:23:58 PM

Dude, why are you even worried too much about ranking up? This is a forum for crypto-related discussions/conversations. You could be "Newbie" by the forum's system, but your knowledge to crypto could be waaaay more ahead than a Legendary member.
For my expectation of "newbie" in crypto and not by the forum's ranking system would be just reading around in here and gaining knowledge in and out of the forum.

If a user is here for the "right" reasons, the "rank" shouldn't bother him too much.
1220  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How safe it is to invest in cryptocurrency on: May 17, 2022, 08:13:09 PM

...Or can be mentally destroyed because of crypto. Crypto is not your quick rich scheme and people still don't get that even with the volatility of the price. Some even make a bad decision such as quitting their job for crypto trading full time or even loaning loads of cash just to invest it all in crypto.
People are really desperate, eh?
