First, mining is yet to be banned in china, the proposal is there and still under review. This is somehow misleading saying that mining is already banned in China but it is not.

I agree the title is misleading because mining in China is still ongoing and the ban proposal of its government is under review just like what you have said. I think the Chinese government see that Bitcoin mining is wasteful and needs a lot of energy to operate especially a big mining farm and not just that they also see it as a means of medium for transactions of illegal activities of criminals especially for drugs and we know that China is very strict in this kind of matter, we have heard of news about execution of proven drug-related peoples.

To the OP, I don't think that a country making its own Crypto Currency is a bad idea and anyone is free to do so. And if China will do its own Crypto for its country they can do it but until today it is still a rumor and we don't have a solid proof that they will create one. Cheesy

He may be completely speaking nonsense sometimes but he got influence in the crypto world and some people believe in what he is saying but I think there is nothing wrong about predicting the price of Bitcoin because we are in a speculative asset industry.

Nah just let them tweet what they want to tweet on Twitter or any social media sites it's part of the freedom of speech. Cheesy

It's correct but it does not give the assurance that you'll be rich if you invest in Bitcoin and to add up Bitcoin isn't created as a form of investment but today it is used as a form of investment a risky type of investment and if a person plans to invest on Bitcoin he/she should research a lot and acquire plenty of knowledge about the crypto industry because this is not a money making machine that instantly turn a person into a millionaire or billionaire. I think it is not just for newbies but for everyone in this crypto industry who has joined the revolution to acquire freedom in our wealth and take control of our own wealth without anyone or any government interfering it. I also got into the crypto industry in late 2017 when the market is booming and skyrocketing and at that time I don't know much about Crypto Currencies and to be honest this is the first time that I see that name "Wei Dai" and I didn't even know that he is one of the first persons that the legendary Satoshi Nakamoto contacted when he created Bitcoin, anyways thanks for sharing this kind of information now I'm getting curious about this person and gonna research more about him.
